Hello, I would only use soapy water to be safe. My experience with automotive a lot of rubbers will react with different oils causing the rubber seal to break down.

My problem is to get the tub out! nice on a video of a machine that don't seem too old, mine looks like solid seized by time!
Note if you don't have a spanner wrinch you can use a hammer and a socket to do the samething.

Would it be okay to use Mineral Oil to lubricate the tub seal?

never use any mineral lube on any rubber based seals.
