- I've been daily driving my VW Sand Rail through downtown Denver this past year. Theres pros and cons to it, but overall way more pros. Its been a blast. I think my dog enjoys it aswell.

You are a lucky man! Here in Italy (and in all Europe), there is absolutely no way to drive a similar car on the street. No way to be registered for home-made cars. I have a '69 VW-based Sandrail, and the only drive i could do, is into the green around my home... or go to a static meeting with the car on a trailer.😭
What happens if you get caught
The confiscation of the car and much money to pay...
I think most states require enclosed wheelwells, you must have fenders. I don't if Drifto is driving illegally, or if it's not a law in Colorado.

@@SirDrifto Well, luckily we still have a bit of freedom left in the states- if it's loopholes for recreational vehicles rarely driven or just lax enforcement of the laws, for now we can get away with this kind of thing.
But, everyday our government is either making new laws or enforcing the laws already on the books(with the help of technology also). I've the impression that laws are more strictly enforced in Europe.
What did you have to do to get it a vin/get it registered?
Its registered as a VW beetle.

Its not street legal.. No windshield or wiper. No taillights ir brake lights. I assume it dosent have a horn either. No Having a vin number dosent make it street legal. How you got a plate for it i have no idea. Stat police will have a feild day with you.

You can use a GPS speedo or your smartphone for speed.
