I have a certain fondness for this game. I like Pinball and I like Sonic, so this game was a natural fit for me. Not the best video pinball retro game (that honor goes to Devil Crush on the TurboGrafx 16 and Genesis) but I still like it. Did you know there are two different versions of this game? One version has Dreams Come True original Sonic opening.
Hi David! Yes, I often think of TG-16, and sometimes Amiga, when it comes to video pinball. Some great games on those platforms. ANd I didn't know about the intro! I will check it out.
I remember spending so many hours on this. I had the Genesis version 2 and a Sega CD that is attached to the side. My brother's friend wanted one for his son. I gave it to him so his son can enjoy it. Yeah. Everything. I don't regret it. I do miss it.
Somehow, in all of these decades that have passed, I've never owned a Sega CD. I can't imagine how not. I will have to remedy this; so many great games out there for it! :)
@@Forever8Bit I am definitely thankful I get to emulate these games I've never gotten to play and wanted to before. It is awesome! Yeah, you should think about grabbing a Sega CD. But of course, check out the prices first for the softwares.
Eggman was Robotnik’s original name in Japan when Sega of America brought the original Sonic the Hedgehog game to the US for the Genesis & changed it to Robotnik without Sega of Japan’s consent.
It's a surprisingly good game. Video pinball doesn't get a lot of love amoung the pinball purists, which I get. But this one is a lot of fun on its own merits.
@@Forever8Bit Well I'm the furthest from a "pinball purist" there is. I've never owned one and have played maybe two or three of them in my entire life. I always used my quarters on actual games instead. But I have played thousands and thousands of hours of video game pinball titles. I actually have a crt on my porch and a ps2 with like 8 different pinball games on it lol....

I own and played the SNES version, which is different to the Genesis version, and I really liked it.
My friends would joke that this is what happens to sonic when he runs out of continues haha.
Pinball purgatory. 😂
A childhood favorite of mine. Despite not being much of a pinball fan, I still had a lot of fun with this title.
That's awesome! I didn't even play the game until a few years back. Found a CIB copy locally for around $8. It was a great find. :)
Love this new show of yours! Big thanks!
Glad you enjoy it! :)
I like your presentation style, it has that old-school feel of a video game TV show from the 90s.
Great review! Love this vibe
Thank you! And thanks for being here!
I absolutely loved this game. Funny enough it was the first sonic game I ever played. It came in the box with the Sega I got for Christmas one year
Very cool! It really is a fun game.

@@Forever8Bit original Sonic theme FTW

Please review DKC TRILOGY in upcoming videos....
Thank you for your idea! :)
I'd love to see this game remade with proper Sonic physics and running at 60 fps.
That would be great, indeed!
Pretty sure I played this game
It's slick. And a lot cheaper than a real pinball machine> :)
I played this and Alien Crush on tg16 for 100s of hours....
