Hello Can you tell me on average how many times does the male cat mate in a cattery, i know pedigree female cats are only allowed to have 4 litters. i have one male and he did mate two months ago, i hear a lot about male cats peeing all over the place when they want to mate, as you are a cattery i am sure you know how many times approximately per year a male cat should mate to keep him happy, the minimum, i would really appreciate your answer. thanks,
Thanks for the very informative video. I am thinking of getting 2 cats just to keep as loving pets. Do you think it's a good idea to get on male & one female.. fixed of course.? Do you think they could live very well together? Or is 2 females (fixed) better?
The problem isn't just about "breeding" it's the lack of understanding of owning a pet in general and also the importance of neutering and spaying your cat. Unfortunately this is a far common problem then those who had to surrender their cats due to financial problems or unable to take care of their pets anymore. Most cats that end up in the shelter is due to behavioural problems (i.e the owner thinking their broken, but they didn't take the time to understand their cat or even tried to train it). Unwanted litters are often dropped off to shelters due to un-neutered/un-spayed cats. This is actually a very common problem of heartless owners abandoning their cats on the side of the road where most of them aren't desex, thus those un-sterilized cats breed due to their heat. I am not against people wanting to get or breed designer pure breed cats, or even wanting to adopt a cat at a shelter. The most important question we need to ask is the owner planning to KEEP the cat until it dies of old age? That's the problem here it's lack of knowledge and not wanting to keep the cat once it hits its senior age. People think they can simply keep a kitten/cat in their prime years, once it gets older the medical bills pile up they just dump them in the shelter. If only we could educate them more, breeding is just a very small issue. It's the commitment to keep their cat and understanding about proper pet care that is the major problem.
I disagree I wish people would get there cats fixed. To me it stupid people that don’t. Owning ragdolls I’m happy to have paid for kittens because I know what I got. Based on your thoughts we should say the same about humans etc poor people should not be allowed to have and only rich people can. Which I think we both agree that’s ridiculous. Anyhow just my opinion I’m no expert.
Nice video! I’m curious, are you living in a condo with your cats? Usually condos have limits when it comes to owning pets, and you have a lot of them hahah
Thanks, Charles! I think they will still have aggression regarding their territories despite being neutered but it will be much less than if they are still intact. They'll be less energetic and would be more chill once they're neutered.
I have a female dog who is very protective and alpha characteristics but small and planing on getting a baby cat but I don't know which gender to get that will get along with my female dog, any ideas or suggestions?

Every other video I've watched and book I've read said female cats are more affectionate. You are the only source I've seen that says the opposite. Then again you said "it depends" after literally everything you said so not sure how informed you really are or what the point of making the video was.
This is informative video. Thank you! I was planning to start breeding cats, and my plan was to maintain pure ginger lines in one side and gray family on the other side. I will factor in the actual breed as well and maintain their purity. But I didn’t consider the territorial conflicts. May alpha din pala sa pack.
It’s not as simple as you think to adopt a cat. There are forms interviews and waiting times before your application is even accepted. Id rather make one phone call exchange the cash and be on my way.
i didn't choose, i was lucky enough to be chosen
I have 4 males and 1 female. Thankfully they don’t have turf wars and spray each other 🙏🏻
Thanks for the info, we have 2 cats 1male and a female😍
Thanks for the info Sir nico! I love cats😊
Those aren’t cats those are pokemon!
😂😂😂
Lol 😂
if u are going to say it depends on everything ... Wats the point of the video?
Amazing video! Very useful (: and I love all the Pokémon Easter eggs 💕 thanks for sharing
Male cats spray anytime anywhere I don’t think it’s a heat thing. They even spray each other and humans
The thing that always directed me to a male is male cats are less expensive to neuter.
But if you get them through a reputable breeder...they would already been de-sexed
Great videos sir nicolay!! :)
Thanks, Hilton! :)
Sagot, Di po mahalaga kasi dapat ipakapon at genderless sila pag napakapon na. Imagined lang po yung mga ideya tungkol sa mga pinagkakaiba.
My thoughts:
If you live in a small space, a female is better.
Families with young kids are better off getting a male.

I wish people would stop breeding cats. Theres already so many stuck in shelters or getting euthanized due to overcrowding

MackyOzzy Yes, I live in a condo. Pet restrictions are not really very strict where I live. I'm lucky, I guess? 😅
Nice video! I have a question. Will two neutered cats also pose problems in terms of them being territorial?

Very simple; do NOT breed cats. There are thousands and thousands of homeless cats. Do not contribute to their misery.
Brain dead comment. By that logic humans should stop reproducing, because there are millions of homeless people around the world.
@@AntiDegenerate1971 Let's see brain dead. Ok let's start with you. Do NOT breed. After all it is stupid humans who are ruining the planet.
