Those "dents" are crumple zones so that 4 foot long piece of metal doesn't go through the cabin and the squishy insides. They need to be placed back into the structure. If hit head on that piece will deflect off the dash core and through your heart.

People are pretty emotional on that topic. He actually “softened” the dented aluminum beam. As soon as heat and mechanical pressure is applied, the beam loses its original strength... The main problem is that the whole body alignment changed. That might or might not cause issues.

There are some of us comment from years of experience in a trade but don't film our whole lives they like to call armchair experts to. Personally I have no interest in setting up camera's, editing and asking my customers to film. They mostly want their stuff kept private and me working every hour I bill to get it back working in the field not dicking around with this stuff for youtube.
After a few years round here you soon get to know the ones that don't have the ability to figure out that a guy knows his stuff from the comment, or are just looking for the how wonderful everything they do is and can't take constructive criticism or advice. some just mine everybodys knowledge from out the way forums then come here and say it's their idea to build something or fix it, I know one tuber does that on a forum I help out on sometimes. I see his posts then a month later you can guess exactly whats going to be his next build or he's buying for a video. @@ingresswizard9044 Ill disagree, I do ALOT of fabricating and there is a reason you have to use so many more amps welding aluminum than heat. Its a giant heatsink and sucks away heat. I have MAPP gas for tight spots or when Im feeling lazy but it takes FOREVER to heat up steel with it and forget about it with aluminum.

To even get it back on the road it has to be inspected by the state and deemed fit for road use. Which it's then issued a Rebuilt title. Some insurances won't cover these cars but others will insure it no problem with regular coverage. It would also be on the buyer to prove the repairs were negligent if something did happen. I see a lot of comments on the crumblezones and I agree. All (serious) car manufacuturers put a lot of money into developing crumblezones to absorb the most amount of energy as possible.
There´s a lot of car crash tests and engeneering that goes into this. Altering or changing this without any regard to safetyaspects is reckless, and even more if you intend to sell this car to some else. The design of rods and dents is there for a reason. If there´s a crash and someone get hurt, do you think any of the manufacturer or insurancecompany will take responsability after the car has been altered?
I like what you do with the car but the safety must come first, especially when it comes to a supercar!

Come on, you're just yanking our chain, you gotta know that those are there on purpose. You decided not to bother putting them in because the aluminum piece you got is not quite the same anyway, probably weaker, so you are guessing there is no need to weaken it as it'll crumple anyway, somewhere. But who cares, it matters not, it'll be a pretty car regardless and you are not going to crash test it anyway. :)
