Great video. I'm headed that way from the central Oregon coast when the weather breaks. It has been a long winter up here. My G310GS is ready to go! I rode through that area last year on my way to Quartzite, Im looking forward to spending more time in Mojave this trip.
I love the way you took time to make your adventure into documentary. I live in Ventura County so get to go to Mojave quite often with my G310GS. It feels as if I am there. I hope to go out with a buddy or buddies. Going solo is fun but a group is more secure and dynamic.
Thanks, yea riding in a group is fun too. Riding solo can be a little anxious. For me riding alone let's me focus on just me and the ride. My own pace if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the great video. I’m planning my CA BDR trip and would definitely stay at that camp but can’t find it on any map. Do you know the name or GPS coordinates or directions? Thanks!
Which Online Map/App are you using to display you're route? I like how the dirt roads show up easily. Did you download the route to your phone or is it a GPS head unit (Garmin, etc.)? I've gotten used to my 310GS now it's time to create some routes and do dirt roads. Thanks for the video!
@@RobertHopkinsArt Gaia GPS. It's an app for mobile devices and has a desktop website to plan routes. Multiple layers to show terrain, forest routes, and BLM land.
Thank you! The CABDR is pretty much all desert terrain. If you are comfortable with rocks, loose gravel, and sand I'd say it's intermediate. I would not attempt if it's you and your bike's first time with desert terrain. With a group it's definitely doable as you have people to help pick your bike, etc. In my opinion Section 3, 5, and 7 are the best riding. They are not difficult and very scenic.
The dork in the road channel has a great video on how to get footage on a motorcycle. He has lost so many miles of footage that he did a video on the best camera.
Thanks man. I love watching his videos. I usually have a cam on my helmet too, but I forgot the mount on this trip. I really want a 360 cam for that 3rd person POV.
Very nice video. Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you for watching.
Nice video ! (Sighs) Weather has been rotten this year up in NW Cal.
Rain, cold, and then more rain. That was a great campsite.

Another great video Scotty, great adventure!!

Man you're all over the place!
I'm going to have to get up there and ride some of these with you
Another good video!
I’m going to be doing this route early March solo. Might get on f.b and find a group to ride with though.
Yea the official CABDR Facebook group is a good starting point.

Thank you! Lookup New York Mountain South Camp Base in Google. The area experienced a wildfire last year so it might be closed.

Another great video! These sections of the BDR don't look too bad. How would you rate them difficulty wise?

What time of year was this?
@desertratmtb thanks for watching. This ride was in March.
Man, I hate those washboard roads,, They can shake your teeth out!
