I thought I needed to be talkative, which is not me. When I did speak with my team, I spoke with authenticity by being flawed. It's working lol

Hello Mark, could you also make videos about Supervisor. Especially first time Supervisor especially leading a team who have strong mindset.
Or when you feel the manager doesn't take your sides but rather takes one of your team members sides.

Hi there I'm a new manager, no prior experience🙌🏿. But it's so hard as I tend to be a people pleaser at times due to past childhood issues that eventually carried over to adulthood. I've dealt with some disrespect because I've questioned some of their behaviors and received lash back . Because when someone would say "something" I didn't really like I would suppress my real emotions instead of saying it right then and there 🤦🏾‍♀️ so those that I have shared things with stated to me I need to learn to tell them right then and there instead of going back later to question them. It's a learning experience indeed.

Becoming an assistant manager is teaching me alot about myself and my management style.

Thank you so much. Love your authenticity over this, exposing yourself online with such vulnerable information. Love from Israel.

Great video! This has helped me quite a bit. I wanted to ask, could you possibly do some role-play / acting type videos? They always help me more than just listening to advice if you see what I mean. Like show what both sides looks like (nice side & professional side)

Hi there!! So glad you enjoyed this video. Yess within NMA we do exactly this through role playing as I do want to give my students lots of examples and practice. If you’re interested in learning more and joining us click here: makedaandrews.com/nma

Thank you for this information because alot of this info is what I am focusing in like setting boundaries and to stop people pleasing and to be more authentic. For amlong time I felt I had to play a role for people to accept but now.. at 52 years old it is time for the new.

Thank you! I’ve been a manager for years. And this is something I struggle with. I’m starting at a new company tomorrow and I definitely don’t want to fold. I’ll be putting by boundaries right under my keyboard for easy access!

Yaaaasss! So glad you're doing that. We are most likely to follow through on the things we write down so I'm confident that you will hold firm to those boundaries when you write it down :)

Absolutely, I mean I know it's hard but it's so worth it. It's like Sierra above said, once she did what came natural for her - it worked. I hope people watch this and are empowered to do the same.
