07:05 In hindsight, SSB particularly didn't run "pretty well" in the gameplay demonstrated. This performance becomes significantly better after a fair bit of gameplay, and this seems to be a trend with modern SSB emulation on a lot of systems. Notably, I've experienced the same issues emulating SSBU on my Steam Deck and gaming desktop. edit: also just pretend that the end screens were there the whole time and i didnt forget to add them until 3 days after uploading
Heyo! Generally there's a lot of lag initially when the system has to write shader cache to disk, but afterwards any repeat rendering of the same elements work without stutter/slowdowns!
If this is based on the other versions of Citra, then just transferring system files and stuff from an original 3DS, should resolve all issues with any data related to the Miis or system itself.
@@EdoVro yes, thx... I tried this last weekend, some games crashed and others worked perfectly... I missed a control to disabled the 3d effect or adjust it
"Emulation is legal" Sadly, with the yuzu lawsuit, this may change. The legal precedent IS there for emulation being illegal. That being said, legallity doesnt matter to me if the way youre intended to play straight up isn't supported anymore.
There’s already legal precedent with Sony vs. Connectix (2000) so *hopefully* it stays that way. The ruling essentially stated that reverse engineering copyrighted system files for emulation was within fair use law, and that lawsuit finished while the PS1 was still current gen, similar to the Switch and Yuzu.
CitraVR doesn’t have a native PCVR app, but you could use the core version of Citra on your PC and use something like Virtual Desktop to enable stereoscopic 3D.
Thanks for the review. Great work! I know you mentioned Mario Kart 7 having issues on v64. If anyone knows an alternative work around of the issue regards the Mii Maker as the renaming of the file to .3ds from .app doesn't seem to work. Thanks
I was considering paying to get my new3dsxl fixed; for some reason it shuts off when you take the power cable out But i think I'll do this instead. Nah I'll do both lol
Probably just needs a battery replacement, they’re dead simple to replace yourself. Just need to take off the backplate to get where the SD card goes and replace it there
Been testing over 100 titles with citravr and found that there are a tonne of solid titles that play very. Really hope that some talented modders jump onboard to sort out some issues like the triple rendered screens like shown in the video with metroid. I would also like to see if a plugin attach camera to pawn type of thing can be implemented to create 1st person view. Alot of these older titles would transfer over to vr very well just like how team beef does with thier ports.......would love to see some of the most talented modders of the likes of praydog, fholger, LR, etc team up to fine tune things so to enhance and preserve 3ds since Nintendo recently killed it.
My question is: Why? Games will mostly run better on original hardware, and if you want to do this legaly you NEED a 3ds. Then why just play it on the 3ds in the First place?
It's noval. It's a different experience. For some folks that's good enough of a reason to enjoy it - i.e, the unique amount of depth and playing the games at such a scale (180 immersion mode is amazing btw) in a way that's not possible on the handheld!

There's no longer any legal way of buying 3DS games from nintendo, so I call it fair game from now on 🤑

Doesn’t work anymore. It now opens a mobile control, with your touch controls not working. You also can’t move the screens around or change them.
i tried that years ago with the quest one streaming my PC screen from virtual desktop and it wasn't as clean as this but the 3d was awesome

Launching OOT 3D that I decrypted has audio and can be controlled but stuck on a black screen on my Quest 3! Any suggestions?
do you know how can I disable the cellphone controllers version and use the quest motion controllers? I uploaded recently. I got tthe v66
When i try to emulate it screws my controls up and
its js rlly weird its like no longer vr kinda
Very interesting!
"Emulation is legal!"
*Nintendo entered the chat*
Im surprise that this is still up since citra is now gone because of Nintendo
I think Nintendo only went after Yuzu, and the devs took the mainline Citra down to be safe.
Curious how it compares to Apple Vision Pro
Wonder how pokemon would look on something like this
CitraVR stopped working for many of us after the v64 update
It’s a shame it’s not entirely working right, hopefully it gets updated soon.
@@probablyhadesdidn’t citra get shut down
Its not abandoned! Give it some time 🙏
I got it working again by turning off the feature for performance boost or so.
Hey, can you please upload a gameplay or Kersploosh?
Is there a way maybe run the games through pc and stream it to your headset? Probably solves some performance issues.
You could run Citra on a PC and enable steresocopic 3D, but as far as I can tell you can’t enable anything like the immersive mode.
Can I enable The 3D feature?

AFAIK The precedent was not set because Yuzu devs settled. Precedent is set when a lawsuit completes outside of a settlement.
@CobaltChris is correct. It never went to court so no legal precedent

Could I run ds games on it?
Not through Citra, but you could sideload the 2D version of DraStic or another DS emulator.
Wish they would port it to pico 4

Could be the same issue that’s causing MK7 to crash, it doesn’t work on V64 at all, even with a Mii.

I personally prefer the 3D effect in the Quest way more, it’s way more convincing compared to the glasses free methods on original hardware.
