Pro tip, you get better quality and a larger map by tipping it upright at a 60 deg angle. The Z axis of a printer has the lowest resolution because of the discrete layer height. Tipping it will take longer but the higher terrain resolution is worth it.

Never heard of touchterrain, exactly what I was looking for a while back. For anybody who uses Blender, I was able to use it with the (native) 3D printing extension to fix the non-manifold geometry, sliced fine after that. Useful video, thanks

@3dprintyboy Love the KML option to create non-rectangular exports. Was not aware of that possibility. Do you think its possible to use the KML outline option together with the OSM / Blender way of doing things you described in your 'How to 3D Print Cityscapes ' to create a non-rectangular-shaped piece of cityscape? That way one could create a 'city-quarter-shaped' cityscape.
Also from what I understand, the built-in repair option is now also available in the newest versions also on mac, as bambulab uses an external service for it. Don't know how performant it is though.
Regarding the scaling: You can do that within the slicer as well, scaling just the z-coordinate of your STL export file. No shenanigans in the export settings needed.

@3dprintboy the videos are incredible! Thank you very much for sharing. Here's a question: I think you could create something, adding the route in GPX and thus creating something multicolored, e.g.: printing the topology in one color and the route in another? Do you have any tutorials about it?

Error: All(!) elevation values are -32768.0! This may happen if the DEM source does not cover the selected area. For the web app, ensure that your red selection box is at least partially covered by the grey hillshade overlay or try using AW3D30 as DEM source.
    How can I fix this?

You'll want to expand or unpack the zip file, and then import only the .stl file into Bambu Studio! Just double click the zip on mac, or for Windows, I think you just right click>expand

After all this time, you would think Autodesk Civil3d would write out a surface to stl, with given bottom elevation. Same for ESRI software. Nope. So the people best at making surfaces are hog tied. Then you get this kind of workflow. The problem is you have no control over low res data, and also old data. I wrote my own TIN to stl exporter which can read many formats like landxml, whatever. It solves the problem, it works. The trick is detecting the edge tris so you make skirt tris that connect the flat bottom to elevated tris. I think other cad programmers have done it too.
