Oh hell yah! I first heard them on MTV's Jenny McCarthy show way back in the early 90's when MTV played mucic. They played their signature song "Fun Lovin Criminals"". Bass, drum, guitar, and trumpet. Totally badass! My youngest son, now in his early 30's, grew up on this and gets it to this day.
At some point in the 2060s when I hit the "old-folks home", I hope there is a group of teenagers there from the local high school playing covers of this song.
@@christopherczapary9345Back in the 90's, when I lived a different lifestyle, we used to refer to crank (I guess everyone says crystal meth or meth these days) as Scooby snacks
Yeah, it's really good. I'm pretty sure that it's a sample of the verse section from "Is She Really Going Out With Him" by Joe Jackson, but it's a solid reinterpretation that's pretty catchy.
I agree. This is such a fun easy going song. I am kinda glad it was never commercially successful. Kept it from being a "sellout ". Really as easy going as these guys were, one could tell they put there all into there music.
I think it is very important to remember bands like this. They defined a very particular moment in time. They were the first to understand the cross over appeal between music and 80’s cartoons.
They never really took off outside of NYC in the US. They really were a great band ... Very underrated!! I know they are big in holland & Germany... I think they still do regular tours in Europe. It would be good to see them in NYC.
I saw them at the Wychwood Festival because the odd rock band or pop group was on the bill to entice more people into the festival even most of the music was world or folk.
I remember this song hearing it from a local rock station on the radio. I had the urge to look for it now with Scooby Doo being in my feed lately. After all these years this song is still fun. 😊
Really? I was eating ecstasy and said "Scooby Snacks!!!" Lol jk, I was actually playing guitar and played the riff and was like.. "I know where I heard that before!!!"
