- If you have one solid click when you try to start your Hemi definitely make sure you have enough power. I believe it had power enough to throw the starter gear out, but it couldn’t turn the motor over. I spent hours figuring out a very simple problem - it was a low/bad battery.
You are a blessing, I looked on the internet about the fuse 51 that didn't work, unhooking the battery that didn't work, and put a new battery in the farb that didn't work. Then I came across your video that's exactly what my truck was doing, one click, and that's it, so I charging it, it was 7 years old, but never had trouble with it. that's exactly what it needed!!! thanks again buddy you're the best
Thank you so much for this video, I was 5 seconds away from buying new relays or a starter, batery tested good and everything to, I wouldn't have ever thought to jump it
Did jumping it work for you and then a new battery?
I have the same make and model. It was 71 yesterday and 34 this morning and wouldn’t start. Pressed ignition button all lights came on and herd a single click. Swapped new battery, nothing. Hit the starter 4 times with a hammer and it started. Spent $385 having a new starter installed today. Had battery checked, it was fine. Hope this helps
I had the same problem. Especially since temperatures cooled from 110s down to 70s so i guess the metal shrank and the bolt became looser. Battery was fine. Once i tightened the bold holding the wire to the starter, went back to brand new!
I had the same issue 2017 Ram 1500 Express. Change the starter thought it was the relay ended up just being a bad battery
But some say even a new battery they have this problem and end up changing the starter
I got a new battery 3 weeks ago due to this issue and had the same problem today. One click no start. Got the new starter put in and had no problems.
hey bro going thru this issue with my 2019...would your recommend new starter? or try new battery

This is exactly what my 2018 push to start is doing. I started it 2x this morning on my way to go fishing and it was fine, the third time itnleft me strandned. Dead key fob trick where you push the push button with the key fob isn't working, remote start doesn't work, but everything has power, head lights work, interior lights, dash lights, radio. It's at the shop right now waiting to be looked at, maybe I should go throw a battery in it....
im going through tht now too same make and model what happened to ur truck what did they say
@@joshjmfa the wire from the solenoid to the starter turned to rusty dust. New starter, problem solved
My 2017 RAM 1500 Laramie Limited is doing the same thing but I put a brand new battery in it and still the same. One click and nothing.
Im having same issue its a curosion issue i believe just got to find it
Could it be alternator since battery tested good? Or had there been no problems since battery was replaced?
You do not need to hold the start button to start it. Just press it and release it.
One would think that
Got the same problem on my 2022 Dodge Ram 2500 with 33,000 miles. Ridiculous
The battery will be dead the next day because it has a low voltage drain
Hmm..alternator?
This needed a video?
You didn't fix anything
