The beauty community is always full of exciting new trends that makeup lovers can’t wait to try out. Throughout the years, we’ve seen many of these trends come and go. Some of them we were sad to say goodbye to, while others made us cringe whenever we would even think about them. But many of the makeup items and products that were once considered to be uncool have made their way back into our hearts. We don’t know how they managed to win us over, but we’re sure glad they did. From blue eyeshadow to black lipstick and body glitter, we’re about to show you the beauty items that went from cringe to cool.
Frosted lipstick was huge in the 90s, but when the year 2000 rolled around, the pink and frosty shade took a backseat to subtle nudes. We never thought we’d see the day when frosted lips made their return into the beauty community, but they’re finally here! Another trend we used to despise that we now love is colored mascara. This product was huge in the ‘80s, and now, it has made its way back onto fashion runways.
Cara Delevingne made us all love our huge, bushy brows; but guess who’s back to reclaim its throne? Skinny brows, of course! The pencil thin look was once frowned upon, but its back and better than ever. We’ll show you even more makeup items that were very cringe-worthy but are now cooler than ever, including draped blush, face decals, pastel eye shadow, and hot pink lips. Okay, here's my top 10 problems with this video. 1. Bindis are cultural, decals are not bindis. 2. Most of these trends never went away. 3. They did not become popular because of a model. 4. STOP SAYING CRINGE WORTHY. Overuse of that term was the biggest throwback here. 5. Inner goth princess, you clearly know nothing about the goth scene. 6. Berry tones were popular in the 90s. 7. That was not all glitter some of those were holo. 8. Skinny brows are not in. 9. Normal brows are not because of Instagram. 10. Just wear what you like, no one really cares what's in anymore. Things being in or out is a throwback, we're past it. Just be yourself.

I never liked the body glitter trend.
I never knew they were out of fashion. I've always hated the way people pluck their eyebrows. It looks so unnatural and horrible. Also the sharp edges people pluch or draw for their eyebrows... ew... I've seen that everywhere for about ten years. The soft and natural looking edges are far more beautiful and don't make you look like a clown or someone who had an accident or an illness that destroyed their brows and are getting five-year-olds to draw new ones (unless they did, that is a different story).

I naturally have thick brows as well. But I think the "instagram brow" is more of the fact that they are shaped and cleaned up (and happen to be thicker as well because there is more to work with). And usually if thick brows are left in their natural state, they definitely do not look the same as "instagram brows", only similar in thickness. That's just what I get from the "instagram brows" trend, everyone sees things differently though 😊

im a full time fashion student. I'm super involved in local fashion events and jobs. i can say, none of this is true. Trends aren't a real thing. wear what you want to wear and only then will you turn heads. If what you wear doesnt reflect yourself it will never hold that pop, and you will never feel complete. the right clothing will give you confidence beyond what you may have previously thought possible. This video is so biased toward white people that it was just painful, and I'm white. Bindis aren't a trend made up by white chicks. Hot pink lipstick suits like nobody, and only looks just okay on pastey white chicks. They talked about Marc Jacobs bringing back pastel makeup, but completely ignored that in Korea and Japan it's never gone out of style. K-Pop did a lot more for pastels than some white dude. I mean the two times they show any women that look like they've even seen sunlight they picked pictures that were so washed out it was almost impossible to see their natural tone.

Yolandalyc I used to wear hot pink lips cuz I'm white and thought that's what was supposed to be on my lips but hindsight tells me that was not as cute as a light coral. I've seen hot pink lips on filipinas since my step fam brought me a cousin canvas and now I see that hot pink lips looked cuter on darker tones. I also like when asians use the gradient lip with hot pink but only if they're cute tbh.
