Man, I tried to warn you. So did Toby. So don't expect me to feel guilty... when Deltarune Chapter 2 comes out in several years along with the full game.
(I am the fool it came out but NOT along with the full game)
(Deltarune, as of the release of this video, is not a complete game. Toby Fox admitted that the first chapter is only a demo. I thus cannot make a full Deltarune the Musical, but what I CAN do is release individual songs that aren't connected like a musical!)

Cool detail I just noticed: One of the most important aspects of Susie's character, especially in the first chapter, is how rebellious she is (refusing to join the party, breaking rules, etc.) This rebellious nature is highlighted in her singing; in this song, as well as Susie and Field of Hopes and Dreams, Susie never sings to the actual melody of the songs, instead making up her own melodies.
Susie is rebelling against the music.
The one exception is here in Vs. Susie, where she sings along to her leitmotif in the chorus, which showcases Susie succumbing to people's perception of her as a villain, instead of rebelling against that notion.

I feel like that's effective in both showing the drastic conclusions children usually reach as well as the kind of environment he's living in.

The climax with the King also wraps up Lancer's development, at least in the Pacifist route.
@@randomclouds4404 Well there is no 'pacifist route' the story is the same besides the darkners not coming to help. Toby said that no matter what you do in all of the game, it will always be largely the same, and the differences won't really effect the whole story

Deltarune is actually criticizing Undertale, which make a lot of things in it taking a direction fully opposed to Undertale, and some others things taking a step further.

Oh my God the voice actress for Susie is PERFECT. Others were hit or miss, but this one NAILS the role. From Susie's low, growling voice to hungry howls of betrayal, this voice couldn't be better done.

VS Susie is a song that I always thought that would be really difficult to make a cover of... The conflict of emotion that this song emanates would be really difficult to represent with words and singing. However here we are, another perfect cover from MOTI and his team!

I love Susie's voice in this so much. She's so aggressive and has a low-pitched voice to match, even when she's singing it sounds like she's always trying to sound tough. Even when she's sad and trying to convince Lancer to let her go. But then, when Lancer asks if they're still friends, her voice gets a lot higher as she's genuinely caught off guard. She goes right back to the tough girl voice, but it's something that stuck out to me.
Never thought I'd feel a kinship with susie here. Never have I wanted to hug someone so bad!
The lyrics and singer are just perfect, the amount of power and emotion behind is just amazing.

One thing I love about the songs in this musical is how you throw the original melody out the window and make your own to sing along with the song. It sounds so good and it’s such a nice breath of fresh air!
The first time I went through this fight and heard this song, I had only felt a semblance of the mix of anger and sadness that I came to understand Susie carried in her. Hearing THIS version of the song? I actually came close to crying at the final verse. There aren't any decent words for me to express how much I love this, how much I love that you and your friends use your talents to put together such amazing pieces except for two:

My favorite scene in Deltarune. It’s amazing how much character, growth, and emotion Toby can put into a few rudimentary sprites and a battle with dialogue.

This scene really was a test of friendship to see if each other could forgive the other, thankfully Susie was listening to reason, because it's more what if Susie did kill Lancer, which that alone would of split into 2 different time lines.

I like to think that Kris is the protagonist, but Susie will be the hero. Think about it, she's disobeyed the soul's orders SO many times and forced others to as well, like when she forced Ralsei to learn R-Action.
I wouldn't be surprised if we had to face her at the end of deltarune if there's a weird route for each new chapter and you do each of them on the same save slot
