Dodge is really killing the game. Is really love to see a revamped Chrysler 300 SRT8 with the 6.2 L supercharged V8. I'd love them to either have the 300 or the Charger to be the Angel and have it a track weapon, or all around beast.

Your enthusiasm for the Challenger is enjoyable to watch. What a car ! I had a '67 Coronet R/T with the 440 Magnum. 375 HP, "officially". I thought it was a beast, and it was. But 797 HP ! Thank you Dodge !

Love that you're the only person who reviews these challengers that is honest about how well they handle. Everybody just assumes and says they are boats and cant handle even though they are vey good handling cars and still keep the old school look and feel. Another great review Matt!
Andrew Paul the look is 10 years old. Retro was cool back in the 2000 when everyone started it. Even with its hp still loses to cars that are lighter and less hp. Having owned both Gt500 and Hellcat. You can't compare.
Actually the look is 40 years old and still works. If its not working why do they sell so well? and that's actually not true, assuming equal drivers and manual vs manual or auto vs auto, a hellcat will beat a gt500 in a roll race and from a dig with proper tires on a hellcat. Funny you mention the gt500 which is a car that came out in the early 2010's and has taken ford 4-5 years to develop a car to run with a hellcat. Of course the new gt500 will be better, it better be since its gonna be 4-5 years newer and been in development for close to a decade.
Given the development time at hand, I’m pretty sure the GT500 is going to fall short of the Red Eye. The Ford will probably be lighter on its feet all around, but it won’t be better than the GT350 in that regard. So I predict the GT500 will be anticlimactic to everyone but the hardcore Mustang crowd. And a niche vehicle as always, but it won’t beat the Red Eye on a straight.
Darren McFeaters with a widebody and 305s, it better handle well. there’s no dancing around the fact that the 2015-17 hellcats handled horribly.
Andrew Paul for sure dude, when I was getting a new car a few months ago I tested a new scat pack because I have a soft spot for challengers and mustangs, it’s wayyy more zippy around corners and responsive than any regular person would imagine

Nice review of a bad ass ride. The wide body does handle pretty well for it's size. Coming from a 1LE owner everyone craps on the hellcat for being heavy and not being able to turn. Well my brother finally recieved his widebody hellcat he ordered and I was pleasantly surprised by the handling. I still like his zl1 better though. Lol

but i bought the HEMI R/T V8 bc hellcat was so expensive and i couldnt do it , but i love my hemi RT its loud and powerful for street , you know what im talking about

Clearly the single best test drive narrator, period. Obviously. Superior job, and superior verbal detail. Very very good work. Yubare virtually the only auto narrator which I look forward to watching, on UA-cam. Please continue with the great reviews, and please PLEASE don't forget to do a new test drive of the new 2022 Nissan 400Z sports car. I really must see that one. Also, please do the 2022 top of the line Mustang and Camaro, as well.

David, no need to compare dicks here bud. But because you pulled it out here you go: The Redeye and ZR1 that you speak of feature the same engine displacement but the Redeye puts out over 150hp/tq more than the ZR1. ALSO, the 0-60 times are damn near identical. As a matter of fact one could argue them to be the same. However, the Redeye weighs 1000+ pounds more than the ZR1 and it costs less.
Wanna make the ZR1 faster? Slap a blown Hemi power plant in her.

Although I am a month late, Ford still sucks, and so does GM. At least FCA knows what they are doing with muscle cars, and doesn't wanna do a twin turbo v6/turbo 4cyl like Ford and GM wanna do respectively. Having a 4cyl Camaro or a TT v6 Mustang is like driving an atrophied muscle car. A true muscle car is a car that is supposed to do the 1320 loud and fast, and they should have V8 motors. Not the bullsh*t that is Ford and GM's turbo shit, and not the bullsh*t that is a "Nurburgring killing car", like what Chevy is doing with the Camaro. If GM wants to make a track killer, make a mid-engine Corvette with AWD, DCT, More than 600HP, and grippy tires with a good suspension.
Possibilities to be fair, Hellcats are speciality cars. They aren’t meant for the common folk but for those with money and want a car to store in the garage during the winter. Mustangs and Camaros have always been the sports car for the common folk with a middle - lower class income and a 9-5 job with rent or mortgage.

Yeah, since it gets this new hood too, breathing is improved for the intake and provides 10 more hp.
Guy Jones - But the 2019 *Charger* Hellcat retains the original 707 tune for some undisclosed reason which is probably nonsense any way you slice it.
Dynamically the Charger is the better car. Less drag and better balance, with a claimed top speed still faster than that of even the Red Eye - 204 mph vs 203.

The scat pack widebody and hellcat widebody are absolutely amazing cars.
Seeing cars like this and then we have the GT500 on the way as well just makes me feel that we are living in the new generation of a refined muscle car era. I love seeing companies like Dodge and Ford go back and forth each year trying to outdo the last. I cant wait to see what the future holds and maybe we will see some other classic muscle cars make a modern return for even more competition. What a time to be alive.

It says 5.4 and 6.7 0 to 60 times ( 5:30 ) .... Absolutely horrible considering the Mustang does it in 4.0... 800 horse power and you can't get a 4.0 0 to 60... SMH
