      Can a-ffect, but does not, if they know about "passive diffusion" in the ileum OR the oral sub-lingual diffusion mechanism.

    Apparently bloodgroup A has no intrinsic factor. What can they use to help them? The B12 injection?

    Hi,
    In order for vitamin b12 to get absorbed, production and secretion of intrinsic factor is must. Is there any report or possibility that an individual can be defective in producing intrinsic factor because that can explain the deficiency of Vitamin B12 inspite of the person taking sufficient in his diet.

    • @trudierochel7656
      @trudierochel7656 2 роки тому

      Yes. Apparently bloodgroup A lacks intrinsic factor

    • @surfcat2051
      @surfcat2051 6 місяців тому

      This is a good question. Presumably it would directly enter the circulation then bind to transcobalamine and absorbed into the target cell.

    I've heard metformin can cause a decrease in vitamin B-12. In what part of the process does this occur?

    • @youjustlostthegame5423
      @youjustlostthegame5423 Рік тому

      Metformin actually has to do with folate metabolism, so it has an indirect effect on b12 metabolism (since folate and b12 work synergistically in a later pathway).

      Without enough hydrochloric acid,B12 is not absorbed.
      Once I started glass of watter with apple cider vinegar, with my suplements and food, my B12 is sky high.

    If I take 2 to 3 drops of b12 liquid in mouth, will it work? As it seems to me that it would just dissapate in your mouth?

    What happen when B12 is high?

    • @pietrocantuccini5584
      @pietrocantuccini5584 2 місяці тому

      You'll get ca. 1% from your supplement's amount. Another 3.5 µg (avg.) from your B12-containing food per meal. At worst, you will have paid for an expensive wee.

    this would have been much better and more practicle if you had been a bit more specific and more detailed about the differences between cyanocobalamin and methylcobalamin and and their differences and the similarities in their metabolisms, but thanks.
