Every time I watch one of your builds I feel a sense of quizzical wonder....I have a little kid smile on my face. As I said before...you have scary good skills. Your "tunnel vision" was delightful.😉
Really love how this layout is coming together. I like to imagine some sort of story about Gustav stuffing coffins into an abandoned mine to make a quick buck and that's what's caused all the 2spooky4me
Great that you used a first surface mirror. Most people who try this effect use second surface mirrors which show the mirrors’ thickness in the multiple reflections, spoiling the illusion. Nice work!
The main term for what you're working on is an infinity mirror. Also, if you want an even better option for spider webs, breaking up some used dryer sheets works extremely well
Love how that turned out especially with the integration into the surrounding rocks. I may have to use this technique to add additional tunnel turnout sidings to my small layout to add illusion of more trackage. Would be kind of fun to make a diorama of an underground mine and use this same technique to add depth.
Amazing Dave! Once again a spooktacular addition to the GGRR. My one and only other thing I can say about the effect, and it's really just a nitpic, is that while I like the spider webs, there may be just a few to many of them. At least enough to make the effect a little fuzzy on camera. I wouldn't be surprised if it looked totally different in person though and again, you did an amazing job as always man! If you're happy with it, I'm happy with it!
Great addition!!!! A little above my pay grade but thanks for sharing!! This is becoming a engineering study for a very cool ride at Knotts or Disney.......fit into Scary Farm very well!!!
Love the detail you put into this. On one of my earliest modules, the "Two Foot Unlucky Mine" I did something a little less detailed. A mirror at the back with a flickering orange light. Because of the location, and "height" only little kids, or short adults can see it. Thank you for taking us along on this and other builds.
Great lesson. I need to do something similar for my proposed rum distillery on the Kraken Cove layout. I have the interior equipment. I want it to look bigger inside than it is. I plan to use mirrors to make it look like it goes on and on inside. Your method should help accomplish that goal. Thanks!
Very spooky! I would have filled the ore car with skulls though in keeping with the skull bridge in front of it. Or at least a skeleton inside of the car.
I want to ride the Gruesome Gulch!

Another great addtion in spookyness. Your builds are always fun to see and learn new things from. Thanks for sharing.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖💀💖🚂💖💀💖
This has to be one of the coolest layouts I've ever seen. Thank you for sharing.

Dave, you nailed it! Super cool & super spooky. Fantastic
Only thing missing is the floating candelabra! ;-)
Subtle but truly amazing! Thanks for sharing, Dave.
The spiderwebs really add to the spooky effect!

great project. looks really good
That is absolutely amazing
Love this , could you make a short video of the whole gruesome gulch rr, my daughter will love it

That’s endlessly cool, love it.

Fantastic work and thanks for the great construction tips.
Mining Kryptonite for future TV shows !!!

Awesome Dave! can't wait for this premiere!
Once again, just to cool !!!!
Fantastic.
Thanks TMS.

Off topic, but I am wondering how you might add a ghostly engineer to the locomotive.
I’m curious too!! Or would you used the similar technique used in the Pirates of the Caribbean??
I'll be modifying the GGRR Porters soon so you may see an answer to that.
@@ThunderMesaStudio excellent!
AWESOME!
Creeptonite?
I dont understand the two mirrors facing each other and it being closed in, am i missing something??
It has to be enclosed because the space between the mirrors needs to be illuminated separately from the outside for the illusion to work.
