They know he’s better they just want Wemby to have some equal competition, that’s all it is. I mean come on now is Chet a top Player in the league? No. Is Chet ranked in the top odds of Defensive player of the year? No. Does Chet have every team in the league Plotting Defensive game plans against him? No. Does Chet have the best players in the league terrified of him? No. Did Chet go up against KD and drop damn near 40 on him AND Booker’s Head and outplay BOTH of them in the same game PLUS the win? No. Is Chet even the best player on his own team while not even being the First option yet? NO. So really, it isn’t a competition bro. Yes they’re very similar in frame and skillset, but I think everyone knows in their right mind, Chet isn’t in the same breath as Wembanyama. And being better efficiency wise doesn’t make Chet better especially when he’s on a team with young stars and one of the best SHOOTING GUARDS IN BASKETBALL

Papa is going to continue use him like Tim. We won't see him hanging out at the post. Papa likes to keep the court spread out and V.W is perfect for Papa styles of play.
So if he does play Center, don't be surprised to see a PF that can also play center.

I think it would depend on how far the defense of guys like Gobert or Jrue impact’s their teams’ playoff position. Wemby’s block and steal rate are ridiculously good but he would only most likely win DPOY if the Spurs win enough games as well

Chet is not a rookie. Why do you think players like Embid, Simmons and Chet all look better on paper than every other true rookie in that class. Embid his rookie year is technically a 3rd year player as a rookie been around a NBA team for 2 years and simmons and Chet were both 2nd year players been around a NBA team for 1 full year thats a huge advantage compared to every other true rookie in their class that are new to the NBA game since it is different than college ball or international ball.

@@chuckcheesy6325 Chet is not a rookie the NBA rules suck he got all the NBA knowledge the year prior. Victor and all the rest of the rookies in the class did not. Players miss seasons all the time so if a player miss his 8th NBA season due to injury what you are saying is his 9th season is technically his 8th so he would be an 8 year vet instead of 9th thats complately wrong. If you get drafted and as long as you with a NBA team you are not a rookie. Its different if you never actually joined a NBA team but Chet was on OKC all season long thats not a rookie and people need to stop acting like he is one.
