The OKC Thunder just defeated the Dallas Mavericks in game 4 to tie their second round playoff series. The NBA Playoffs is starting to look really competitive but the Thunder at Mavericks series looks like the most entertaining of all. OKC’s clutch win was led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who put up a playoff-high 41 points for the Thunder. Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Mavs led by 14 points at one point in the game but the Thunder showed why they entered the playoffs as the top seed in the Western Conference. The OKC Thunder are might be the NBA’s next dynasty.
Lu Dort has been making life hard for Luka Doncic, While for OKC, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Cason Wallace have stepped up. Even Josh Giddey and the rest of OKC’s young core can contribute on any given night. The series will shift to Oklahoma City for game 5 where the Thunder will look to maximize their homecourt advantage. Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets are beginning to figure out the Minnesota TImberwolves. But have the Nuggets solved the Timberwolves defense?
A lot of narratives have been thrown at OKC. They were called a young and experienced team but here they are thriving in the NBA playoffs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander lost the MVP award to Nikola Jokic and Chet Holmgren lost the Rookie of the Year award to Victor Wembanyama, but the Thunder are looking like one of the best teams in the postseason so far only behind the Boston Celtics.

Would you bet on the Thunder Winning It All this 2024? 🤔
Yes if they bench Giddey for rest of the playoffs
yes Thunder in 6
Hell yea I'm already better. Thunder up thunder in 6
Yep. Cause we are and we'll handle jokic when time permits us to.
Oh and ThunderUP y'all.
You deserve more subscribers. It’s nice to see a page debunk narratives rather than create them, along with a precise breakdown of current playoff success
thanks mate! appreciate it a lot 🙏
Folks thought the 57 win Thunder were a weaker #1 seed than the 53 win Nuggets?
Take any of the top 3 seeds in the west, and they'll mash all the 40 win teams Denver did en route to that championship.
The nuggets won 57 games as well. Okc had the tie breaker with them hence being the number 1 seed. Minnie had 56 wins so they finished 3rd.
@@brianbiswell7591i think he is talking about when denver was #1 seed when they won the chip, they had 40 sum wins. So he's saying that #1 seed was weaker
I think the thunder should really be looking into trading for Deni Avdija. Big guy that's great in d has good skills in passing and penetrating the paint and can shoot the 3. Only 23 yo I think he fits there timeline perfectly
I actually agree. I've seen Avdija as a realistic target back at the trade deadline. can defend positions 1-4, can shoot, great rebounder, and doesn't have to create too much in OKC
@@riroballs wow didn't think you'd reply, big fan. Keep creating great content 💯
🙏
My favorite possibility but I doubt it will happen and with Washington who knows? Maybe throw in Johnny Davis.
Wish we never traded sengun away
Amazing video brother!! Love all the points you made here..the Thunder might be the best young team in history
thanks mate
This thunder team definitely open eyes of a lot of young squads throughout the league that they can compete with the “ super teams “ next season gon be a explosive one for sure if was jalen green, paulo b , shit even coby white id he take this a motivation
OKC ALL THE WAY!
Gang, just watched the whole video had to subscribe 🤝🏾
Appreciate it man! 🙏
Great video as usual and good point bringing up the health/availability aspect here. That’s luck to a degree but the youth part might play a role in it too. They just can go the distance while always playing hard unlike some veteran teams.
While they dare to let the Mavs role players shoot and came away with it despite PJ Washington making them pay, I’m mostly concerned about their half court offense. The offensive system just looks unrecognizable. Go back to what got you here.
drive, cut, screen off-ball, kickout. Just look like they're panicking and while Dort is not a good finisher, he really looked afraid to go for it. I really miss the lob and baseline cut game which opened up the outside shot as well.
Maybe sitting Josh so much plays a bigger role then the casual viewer realizes. Even a lot of Thunder fans are happy that Giddey doesn’t play as much as the general assumption an narrative was and still is he doesn’t fit anymore.
I hope they find a way to give him minutes and he isn’t a defensive liability.
Hope our Thunder realize they need more coordinated offense as they did all season since even the great SGA can’t hit as many middies as he did last game night in and out.
What a joy to watch this group who is as close as you can get as a team!
Can’t remember the last time I wasn’t afraid of the next as I am just embracing and enjoying this ride and am super proud of what they already accomplished. Every win from now on is just a plus to an already exceptional season.
On a sidenote I want to see a few more minutes of Kenny Hustly just to throw his body around and bring a little bit more chippieness. 4-5 mins of Biz could also help avoiding offensive boards in critical situations as this is and will be a problem going forward.
Thunderup⚡️Loudcity awaits a critical game 5
thanks man!!
Thunder totally destroyed the Mavs confidence.. Thunder in 6 just like you called it
Okc might lose the next game… luka and kyrie never lose confidence either they play well or they don’t…. Your a nba casual
@@ebenezerscrooge950Luka started getting clamped up then proceeded to complain for 2 quarters straight because he lost confidence on if he can score on dort😂 you the casual
Game 5 will look like game 1
The mavs don't lose 2 in a row but they always win 2 in a row after a defeat. Byebye.
@@isaiahtyner2742 look at Luka’s career numbers against Dort you casual…. Luka bum knee ankle and back foh… still winning in 6😂
Great content. Subbed.
Thanks mate 🙏
We smoked nuggets in regular season, great video bro u got a new subscriber 🫡
thanks mate!
My biggest just imagine is the possible development of Ousmane.
Another homegrown would-be-star?
@@riroballs And we’ll get a good pick in this draft. It’s comforting to see Sam in the stands. If he’s around I like Holland but particularly Knecht, and on a flyer, Furphy.
Would love to see Dalton Knecht in OKC. Great size and skill. Would fit the team really well with his motion shooting and underrated bounce 💪
@@riroballs Would love J-Dub's brother Cody. I see a much better pro than college player in Cody.
@tygersongbird8208 for sure man! Not sure he'll be available at 12 though
Can’t even lie. We should be starting Isaiah joe over giddey
Or Cason Wallace
@@BigAL_9_9 they both been producing and playing more anyway fs. Not sure why he’s even in the starting rotation.
they actually did it 😂😂 crazy call
@@thunderblain3051 lost though :(. I still think we got this
Bro u just jinxed the thunder 😭😭😭😭
😢
We need to get better at rebounding the basketball and we need to get the role players more involved Dallas defense was azaming in game and I think piarticuarly against Minstoda we can't realy on that fully to win games and probably this serries against Dallas. Big thing I think game 5 as far as the bench goes can't be a reoccurring thing.
we can't give 16 offensive rebounds again if we do it's going to a problem.
Definitely need to limit Dallas on the offensive glass. We're getting enough blocks and transition points but we can't give them extra possessions for sure
@@riroballs Also game 5 as far as the bench goes can't be the norm we gotta find ways to get our roles players. Not too worried since the bench has been good throughout the Dallas serries
But game 5 can't be the norm going or else we are going to struggle against Denver/Minstodea and most likely Boston if we make the nba finals
Ur a G
I don't understand why the Thunderless don't get more help for rebounding they need A banger inside to handle a Denver or a Boston to grow with the team
I think you missed the point of the video. Staying small and agile is a conscious decision. Put someone like Valanciunas on this team and we wouldn’t be much better than the Pelicans.
Like who?
Great level-headed take on OKC yet it's spot on. While agreed they're the team of the future, they're here now. If we can get past Dallas, I'd actually prefer Denver as we match up better against them.
thanks man. Any matchup would be great but I prefer Denver as well. Gotta win this series first though
You're delusional. Playoff nuggets are a different beast. @@riroballs
Chet still needs help why don’t they play deug
Mavs in 9
But but but but but this can't be happening they are too young inexperienced and too small 🤔
💪
Lets make video to replace giddey with Hayward, deing or Wiggins
Coach D knows what to do and when to do it
well said 😊@@riroballs
I’ll take the guy who got us to a 1 seed. Hayward hasn’t found his place. Dieng hasn’t developed. Giddey is helping in ways you haven’t noticed AND he’s only playing 10-15 minutes a game in the postseason. He was a +6 last night, tied for highest on the team. He needs to figure some stuff out but you don’t bury one of your youngest players like that.
@@ErroneousMonk1agreed. People can’t understand how young this team is. Everyone on it are still developing.
Mavs in 7
