I think my favorite part about The One Ring compared to the other Rings of Power is just how unassuming it is. The other rings are ornate and have these big crystals and engravings. But The One? Its just a simple gold band. And its by far the most dangerous.
Wow... well said! I studied Physics in school, and re-listening to this some of that is probably showing through in this video. But I love that phrase - I wish i would have thought of that! That's awesome! BEST COMMENT OF THE DAY! 🏆🏆🏆🙇🙇🙇
Thanks for the video! Did Sauron need Celebrimbor's expertise to create the rings or was it just a way to gain the elf's trust and to distribute and try to control the ring-bearers?
Yeah I think you were pretty close to hitting the nail on the head it's resisting the decay of Ages through the elemental medium of whatever ring in Rivendell for example the air is probably much sweeter and cleaner and I know elrond was assisting the river to rise in that white horse stampede that crushed the Nine as they invaded in essence they're giving a fey a dream like agelessness to the land in which they rule
I know you and others have discussed what orcs are, if the elves had persisted in ME after the ROP, could they have eventually turned into something like the orcs due to the corruption of the world?
Great Question! Ok, I don't think the books give us a hard answer on this, but here is how I read it: * Sauron helped make the rings for men and dwarves, but not the 3 for the Elves. They used his ideas and plans, but Celebrimbor made then by himself * So Sauron thought when he put on his one ring, he could control them all * But Celebrimbor did TOO GOOD of a job on the 3 rings. Not only could Sauron see and hear their minds, the 3 Elves could see and hear Sauron's mind too when he wore the one ring! * So the three elves immediately became aware of Sauron, the One Ring, his intentions... everything. * Seeing how they were about to be taken over by Sauron, they took their rings off super quick!!! So that's the story. What do you think?
If the three rings held back time, then it was for the whole of Middle Earth. That would explain why for the thousands of years of the Third Age, Middle Earth never advanced technologically.
That's a really interesting idea. The elves were on ME for 3-4 thousand years after they made the rings, were supposed to be super intelligent (bordering on magical), and it seems like there is no tech advancements at all!
It controls the other rings, from what I understand (not the elven rings) and also amplifies the power of anyone who wields it. For example if you're a warrior, your talents would be endless, or galadriels beauty and wisdom too. Their powers would be amplified to the point of being an all powerful being that the world would submit to, inevitably fulfilling saurons goal, but with a different character. I believe he has a video that describes this further

👍 people don’t think of entropy often. But that’s all there is 0.0

So good.
Thanks. I appreciate that! Glad you liked it
From the first video I saw of yours I've been hooked.
This could be a doctoral dissertation!
Why the 3 elf's didn't fall into sauron trap as the kings did?
Pardon my English

Not sure I agree. Could probably say the same thing about the 3-4k years before the rings were made.
What does the 1 ring do then?
