    That stove and MPXL is a great combination. "That ends tonight" LOL I thought that was a pretty tasty IPA. The food looked good.The Chalet sucks. I was jealous of your set up. "Some old dude" Hahahahahaha! Fun times man.That steak was delicious. Way better than my ramen with dehydrated turkey. I am glad I was able to make it out for the night,

      My friend,these are the good old days. I certainly don’t take these times for granted. So glad you made it out ! I agree about the Chalet, it’s got some negativity. Can’t wait to get out again ! From one old guy, to an “almost “ old guy ! Cheers !

    I remember before youtube, I use to go to a local lake, all the locals and local fishermen know me there and it was like cheers. Hang out, catch up, exchange stories and lures/flies. Throughout life, we find these clicks, nooks and or places to go, to get the interactions we need to feel part of the over all plan. UA-cam took this global. I had/have pen pals from the late 80's I met through a local news paper called the (Recycle) it had a world wide pen pal thing. I am still in contact with some of them! Lifes been one wild ass ride my friend. Glad to have met you. Happy ass new year!

    Winter camping doesn’t get any better than this. What a perfect way to spend a weekend in the woods especially in the white mtns. What really makes it,.. Is good friends and a warm fire with good food ( maybe a cocktail too) Id call it the perfect sanity break!!!
    Thanks Craig for sharing!

    I love that your stove is transparent on the side as well as the front. Adds a bit extra ambiance. Great that you were able to get out for a quick winter trip. Wish I could. You must be picking up some video tips from Justin. Looking good! Thanks for sharing!

    Nice video Craig. I have one floorless from Luxe gear that has snow flaps and a stove jack. Luxe had a half price sale at Christmas. With the exception of a canvas wall tent I have never camped in a floorless tent in winter. I'm going to try it with the new pyramid. I've got 5 other tents that we have sewn thimbles into over the years from small to large and all have worked great. It will be interesting to go floorless. Thanks for the video!

    Awesome trip... That hot tent and stove is a great combo. 👍
    You guys out east are lucky to be able to pull a sled with gear on a wide and pretty flat trail, you already know here we have narrow and steep trails. Your steak and asparagus looked fantastic 😋
    The snow conditions from my trip a couple days ago were the same as yours, almost gonna rain. Awesome trip, enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing, take care Cragdwella... I mean, Meet Me Outside... 🍻 cheers
    Happy New Year.

      Happy New Year ! FYI, this was on an old logging road Jason, by no means was this outing on a normal White Mountains hiking trail ! Having been backpacking in the San Gabriel Mountains once and the Sierra Mountains twice, I can assure you, the hiking out here is way more strenuous ! There are no switchbacks out here, none. Taking a sled on a “ normal” hiking trail out here would be insane and it would not work out well at all. Cheers !

    Nice trip! Makes lots mo sense to stay an extra full day or 2 if going to all that trouble. Always seemed to me that an 'over niter' just didnt justify the effort - I like time to explore, etc. Happy New Year to you and Justin! Jerry N.

    Do you ever consider doing a video of what you do with your gear when you get home to keep it clean dry and ready for your next trip

    • @MeetMeOutside
      @MeetMeOutside  2 роки тому

      You betcha Will ! I somewhat addressed this on Justin’s channel,with your question. Basically I think it would be rather boring. Hang tents, tarps in the basement, or garage until dry, put away ! The most important aspect, don’t EVER put any gear away wet. Period.Cheers !

    How long did it take for Luxe to ship to you? I've been waiting since May, nothing so far

    • @MeetMeOutside
      @MeetMeOutside  2 роки тому +1

      About a week and a half, I guess I got lucky, I’ve since heard of horror stories like yours. For all the bad publicity surrounding Luxe, I must admit I really love my MinipeakXL, hit tenting, or just a tent when canoe camping or short overnights. It’s simple, and effective. Best of luck to you 👍
