Welcome to New Hampshire Slim! Hancock Campground has always been my go to, during winter my pals and I will just hang out on a site during the day and sit around a fire and eat BBQ. Hope everyone was as pleasant as we usually are here. Come back soon
Little green men, please bring Slim back, he has more videos to make. On the other hand, there has to be something interesting about a man who would camp in 10 inches of snow. In any event keep the good stuff coming.
Here's a tip for you Slim, Have your Wipers on your jeep standing out while you are parked - That way they wont freeze to the windscreen - I learned this when I moved to the Carriboo of why wipers are standing out during the winter time.
Hi Slim, Greeting from Cape Breton. When the potty seats are chilly, I use some TP to sit on. It works quite well and if it falls in the pit all is good. Safe travels!
I live in New Hampshire not too far from where you evidently stayed. I just had to speak up here and make it clear that this snow storm that just happened this past week is the worst we’ve seen this year and is some thing that we see usually every week of a winter. We’ve had an extremely mild and precipitation free to light Year so far this particular storm that you’re sharing here took down wires where I live and we went 3 1/2 days without power and were melting snow for toilet flushing and bathing. It’s just part of living here because like I said some years we get a foot of snow, and, couple days later see another 6 inches in a few days later another 8 inches it just happens that way. Glad to see you local and have to say it’s nice to see the beauty of the trees even on UA-cam. I always say we live in a state where people come to vacation because it’s such a beautiful place.
That’s exactly what I say about living in a state where people come to vacation: FLORIDA!!! 🏖 🏝🍹 South Florida (Miami) to be precise. I’m aghast watching Slim going for a walk in all that snow.
That's a nice looking heater and set up you have done, makes me feel warm, just looking at it. Today was a nice surprise to wake up to another Slim video. Thanks for taking us along. Great to see a young Slim. Fantastic ending, really gave me a chuckle
Dude! After getting my critters out and fed, brewed a cup of tea and sat down and boom, there you were! Best way to start my Saturday! The winter scenery montage was pure beauty and the music chosen, perfection! The ending was STELLAR! I am still chuckling! Well done! Well done! Just love your videos! Sending healing energy to your finger! ✌🏻
11am, Minnesnowta. Thanks Slim for the motivation to get out and winter camp. The scenery is spectacular. And you brought a gift of laughter to my morning with ET! I really appreciate your time and effort with these videos. Peace be with you Slim
Agree with you about the pricing Slim. Our barebones state parks (Colorado) start at $28/night. Electric hookups start at $36/night. Note that fee does not include park entry - that's extra. New Hampshire is beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us.
Great scenery, and I always get a kick out of some of the surprises you put in! Especially the story of Betty and Barney Hill, the movie of which I’ve seen at least couple of times. I feel it really happened. Great job at the end!
Seeing the snow coming down reminds me of a joke we would recite growing up in Michigan: What do you call a snow storm that dumps 2 feet of snow? A good start…. ;)
Slim, greetings from the UK. Many years ago I helped rescue a work colleague who got stuck to a pit toilet seat in Norway. We were inside the arctic circle in February. He went into the can, lowered his trousers etc. and sat down on the throne for the performance. Only problem was he had been exercising and he was a tad sweaty. He instantly froze to the cold seat. He had been in there for a while and fortunately somebody else needed the loo. He came and found us in the bar to both tell us and get help. We raced to his aid and after a few minutes of uncontrollable laughter we agreed that the best course of action was hot water. So, with a bucket of hot water we managed to defrost his backside from the Karzy seat. He was OK but he was not keen on sitting down for the next week or so. The flight home on the red mesh seats of a Norwegian C130 must have been rather uncomfortable.
Wow! 15 minutes away from my house! Hancock is one of the very few open in winter. The stream behind you is Otter Creek if I recall and quite refreshing in the summer. Last summer they had to close Hancock because there was a bear constantly showing up. If you go to the other side of the Kancamagus there's a really nice CG called Jigger Johnson and the Swift River runs past it. Well worth the stay too.
Good morning from Godley Texas, thanks for taking us along with you. Love the story telling technique. Keep the snow on the East Coast. Headed to Fort Parker State Park TX tomorrow. Stay safe and happy travels 😎
Okay Slim, you have entered into a new era of videography and musical adaptation. I feel it is time to rename yourself Slick Potato Head, as you have become slick at these productions. Thank you for giving an ex-pat, living in the Philippines a beautiful taste of winter.
Beautiful video Slim. I am really happy that your heater is working so well for you. Safe travels and thank you for taking us along! I am less than an hour away from where you was , it was a sad day when the Old Man of the Mountain crumbled. It happened on a foggy night, people were shocked the next day when the fog cleared and saw the old man was gone. That was a funny skit with you being taken away by Aliens and what was left of the Old Man of the Mountains said "Good Luck Slim" LOL.. 👍
Hey slim, great video as usual!! Your trick for the toilet adventure was different. I’ve never heard of that before but what ever works!! Lol!! I’ve used 1” styrofoam sm, cut to the same shape as ( or close to) the seat. It’s portable and if someone is heavier they could bump it up to 2”. The best part is it’s like having a heated toilet seat!! Lol!!
I’ve used the foam products from the garden section of your store. They are great at kneeling in the snow to capture water too. AND a great thing to sit upon in the outhouse. Like the others have said another great production. Thanks, Mike
Amazing how you camp in weather like that; just shows it can be done! The ending to your video was priceless....also shows what camera trickery that is out there. Thanks for sharing and safe travels friend.
I’m in the Pacific Northwest (damp) and have a similar pair of gloves. “Snowboarder gloves,”they were called. Mine got wet from sweating and were impossible to dry because of the waterproof outlet layer. Ended up separating the lining from the outside with a seam ripper at the wrist. Now I can separate the two layers and dry them separately. Put back together, they work as well as before. Envy you your winter camping! And your travelogue of places I’d like to go.
What a FUN ending! I always love your "extra special" affects, Slim! Appreciate the campground review, with cost, too. I totally agree with you...beautiful winter park but the fee is too high. Loved this one, Slim! Thanks! 🙂
Gloves might be vegan but they sure have sausage fingers :) Hands can be finnicky to heal but circulation should hopefully sort itself out in a few weeks time.
Allô Slim ,when you go on the bathroom in winter bring a toilet ring made with a styrofoam , glue it on a plywood ,IT wont brake when you Will seat on it sorry for my english bye . Sylvain
Another fabulous video! Yay! It always makes my day when you post a new one. Great guitar soundtrack, and nice ambient recording, Slim! Your new heater seems to be quite adequate. Cheers, Slim, and thank you. Ps great cliffhanger ending lol - nice video work😁
Beautiful area. We live in Maine, but frequently visit New Hampshire. If you ever return to the area in Summer, try Jigger Johnson campground. It’s located off the Kancamagus Highway. They have hot showers available and a historic farmhouse next door.
Hey Slim, just love the winter scenery with the flowing water and the snow in the trees. I know it's cold but it is beautiful. The stove looks great and seems to do a perfect job. Slim you need to get behind a sale of gloves, Slim's bathroom gloves. You Sit, Shit and Split!!! They come with instructions on how to use them without losing one. Lol. Cheers brother. Happy Camping!!!
beautiful scenery....a couple of things that i do when i park is i tarp my front windshield so that is easy and no ice on the window.....otherwise i leave the snow on the car if not using for insulation.....your trailer is looking good and the heater looks to be working fine....
Hi Slim , just a suggestion I was watching “Lost Lakes “ winter camping episode he used rubber or nitrile over gloves while he was doing chores ,hands were dry while he worked in the snow and the inner gloves kept his hands warm . So I went to the dollar store and found a bright red pair with gauntlets for $3 .😊

That area of New Hampshire is absolutely beautiful, my family has visited the white mountains and Lincoln rea for over 45 years. Fall Time its breathe taking. and the Kancamagus Highway is always a fun trip too!! its closed during the winter months but its super nice!! great video and great seeing you were semi local to me!!
That's why I loved skiing in that area of New Hampshire, lots and lots of snow! I grew up in North Central Massachusetts and visited the White Mountains area many times. Hilarious ending! You spent some time editing that one! 🤣
Snow. Thanks for the reminder Slim. Have lived in areas of snow it's beautiful to see, but now back in the deserts of Arizona. Much prefer the dry heat to snow.
You caught me totally off guard with the surprise ending, an ending that has caused me to chuckle. Outdoor Research products have a good reputation, can't go wrong with 'em. It appears your propane heater is doing exactly what you wanted it to do, reliably. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada
Thanks for the adventure I problely would not of went to sleep with it on . As for the keep slim get you a new electric truck ford or Chevy and be able to post the trip Cousy 5.00 worth of electric keeper roiling and see ya in the next video slim .
Hmmm.. you would not sleep with a propane heater, and you think I should buy a new electric truck for remote locations? Welcome to my channel, you must be new!!! SP
I have camped several times along the "Kanc", in September. Live in NE Ohio . This brought back so many memories, thank you. I appreciate all the work associated with the camera work that your videos require but the results are fantastic! Since I am 82 with health problems and camp in my minivan I doubt I will get back to this area again so THANK YOU for your great videos!
Front end issues came up for my Nissan Titan after a 2500km drive south to California. Ironically $2500! USD! And, after getting the truck back yesterday, the "bearing" issue is still there. Happy travels.
I have a small step ladder that is 5' I got at a lumber supply home center. It folds to the size of a 2x4. So stowed it is 5 feet x 4 inches x 4 inches. They also have short rung ladders that are one section slide upward. Maybe you can find a commercial use collapsing ladder that is better made. I bet you got a cheap china made one.
Hey Slim! Love the video!!! The effects were cool and much appreciated entertainment. I often do things like that and I know the work that goes into it. I cannot believe they have a plaque for UFO abduction in a National Forrest. That’s so cool!! Do you come across historical UFO plaques often? I love New Hampshire we drove through it on the way to Maine and I want to go back. The Indian head formation is amazing! I live in Michigan not sure if you have ever visited Pictured Rocks in the UP, it’s worth seeing!
😂Great video Slim!! First of-I love your positive attitude and the Indian face-spot on! You knocked the ending out of the ballpark with your creativity! I used to laugh at my late husband & my best friend when they would tell their ufo encounter stories until I witnessed several encounters of my own. They are among us....don't poke them...all are not friendly 🙏🙏💞
Outdoor Research is an excellent brand. I have used several of the winter and wet weather products for 30 years. I’ve never had a failure or had to use customer service.
Willilam - Yes, it is. The company headquarters and store are just south of the two Seattle sports stadiums on First Avenue S. Used to enjoy browsing in the store on lunch breaks. From the company's website: "We’ve been building protective equipment in Seattle since 1981. Creating American jobs and building Made in the USA products have always been a hallmark of our business. I just had to do the exact same repairs to my 2004 liberty - it's amazing how much quieter they are afterward. I love these winter videos so much - stay safe!!!
Absolutely beautiful! Love love the look back at the Indian Head. How magical! And, as for the ending... can't stop giggling . Were you at all worried about not being able to leave with all that snow falling?
Waking up to a new video from Slim is a wonderful way to start a day!
That's a fact.
Welcome to New Hampshire Slim! Hancock Campground has always been my go to, during winter my pals and I will just hang out on a site during the day and sit around a fire and eat BBQ. Hope everyone was as pleasant as we usually are here. Come back soon
Been to Hancock a few times very nice place.

That was very pretty with the snow and ice. It was enjoyable to watch.
Ha! Nice edit on the special effects there at the end. Made me smile.
Very nice winter footage Slim. The UFO bit was a little bit goofy but it was supposed to be. Thanks so much for the video. Very nice filming.
Here's a tip for you Slim, Have your Wipers on your jeep standing out while you are parked - That way they wont freeze to the windscreen - I learned this when I moved to the Carriboo of why wipers are standing out during the winter time.
When you tilt your solar panel, to keep snow off .Use windshield washer fluid in a spray bottle.
The snow just slides off.
Clever ending. I am familiar with that incident.
Hi Slim, Greeting from Cape Breton. When the potty seats are chilly, I use some TP to sit on. It works quite well and if it falls in the pit all is good. Safe travels!
That kindof wastes toilet paper though. SP
That's a nice setup you have in your camper.
😂😂😂Good Video, Slim. Right chuckle! BTW, how did the under camper insulation do? Was the floor warmer?
All will be revealed in the next video. SP
That ending was killer!
Beautiful photography thank you!

Ah yes these are the Slim version videos I miss! Glad though you got your propane heater and trailer prepped for such a beautiful trip 👌
Gorgeous winter scenery! The trees at around minute 16 are absolutely spectacular. Thank you for bringing this serenity to me today.
I hope your insulation and new heater works great on this trip. Now watching time.

Vault toilets in the winter. Yes, they still suck but at least they don't stink nearly as bad, and no flies.

Absolutely beautiful! Love love the look back at the Indian Head. How magical! And, as for the ending... can't stop giggling . Were you at all worried about not being able to leave with all that snow falling?
I had to leave early as another major storm was on the way. If they were not going to plow, then yes I was concerned. Thanks! SP
Hahaha, hope you did not develop amnesia and can give us the scoop!
Great to hear about your opinion on this campground
You are truly a Canadian treasure, thanks for sharing all your memories with us.
