Fiberglass trailers are fantastic! Most often being sold many years later for what they paid new for them which is great, but most new buyers are looking for the lowest price. If your looking for the long dollar, and not the short dollar it's the way to go! Good luck trying to sell most RV's for more then what you bought them for.

@@Erin-Thor Hi Erin, I think you are asking Kathy, but this showed up as a reply to me. You can see lots of owners including Kathy on UA-cam, she has the twins. The factory and showroom for the Oliver's is in Hohenwald, TN. They sell them direct, and don't use dealerships that I know of, but they do have a list of owners around the country that might be close enough to visit to see one in person if you can't visit them. I know they have a campsite there by the plant that they offer by reservation, not sure if that's just for those buying or what. I know we are planning on getting the elite 11 with the twins as well. We downsized from a large motorhome to a 2020 Casita SD and couldn't be happier. We didn't want a potentially leaky stick-built and wanted something that was easy to tow and that leave us with a vehicle to drive once we got setup at the campground. Yes, it is small, but it is amazing at how little room you really live in. So happy with our purchase and nice not to bring all the "stuff" we used to bring just because we had the room to bring it.
These fibreglass trailers are DEFINITELY the way to go! Sounds like from all the people interviewed, they are very satisfied with the workmanship compared to the other types of trailers out there. My dream RV: The Escape! Thanks for doing these interviews, love to see how they “live” in them!
Hey Pam, We appreciate the love, support, and kind words!! :) We love talking to people and seeing how they "live" in their campers! Thanks for watching and commenting! ❤ Mike and Susan
I have a 13 foot Casita Patriot, high axel, tough tires, I live in MT, lol, I have taken on roads where the only space to turn around (because it is a little too steep and the drop off is 1000 feet) was unhook and physically turn it, they are easy to manually push around. 2008, that sucker has been across this country many times. Full bath and the bed is kinda a big twin, works great head to toe for 2 people and 2 dogs, well, my dog was pushing it, we moved him to the floor, he is 82 lbs. These are so durable and I love the wet bath, easy way to clean, I actually took the bathroom door off and use a curtain for heat at night. I winter camp. Love these, love mine. FYI, other 13 foot owners, I took the table and cut it 2/3 and 1/3, so I can have small bench in back, or small table in back, or table in front and big bench in the back, really opens it up. i only had to install a new pole mount on the underside of one of the pieces. I haul with Volvo station wagon xc 70 only lose about 2 miles to the gallon, can't beat that. With the battery, I can boondock for 4 days, 1 shower but hot water for dishes, and plenty of power. We also own a 16 foot GeoPro, wheel fell apart first trip out, was a pain to get Forest River to cover it, but they did, other than that, solar is wonderful and bath is huge, the bunks, get the toy hauler instead, top bunk is useless and you could use the head room in the bottom. Would be nicer to have room to haul more gear instead of a bunk that isn't used. My closet had the AC, in the 13' you don't neet AC, camped in AZ 100 degrees, so I built a shelf and the bottom half is half firewood and half garage for the web thingies, lol, sorry forgot the name, so it doesn't float away.
Really enjoyed the interview with Kate about her cupboard system. How amazing to be starting a new business due to frustration! The shelving system is very attractive and I like how adaptable it is.
Fibreglass trailers are a good investment. We made $500 after 5 years of owning a 1977 Trillium, We made $2000 when we sold our 2007 Escape 17b and I could make $5k if we sold our 2020 Escape 19. I got killed on the sale of our Forest River and Fleetwood trailers. Our box trailers leaked every day we owned them, our fibreglass trailers never leaked, easier to tow.
Hi Louis and Katy!!! It was great meeting you both and we are so glad you like the video!!! All the best to you and hope to see you again someday! Mike and Susan
I love these tours where owners show how they use and modify their RV to work for them. :) So informative. Thank you Mike, Susan and all the travel trailer owners!
You're welcome and thank you! I have to agree, we truly appreciate these families opening the camper doors to allow us to tour and interview them. We love seeing their modifications and storage tips! So glad you enjoyed our Fiberglass RV video, thank you for watching and commenting!
Thank you for reviewing fiberglass campers - my favorite. We have a SNOOZY II and we LOVE it the best. Maybe you can tour and video the Snoozy factory some day, that would be great. I love your weekly tours, even though, I will probably never get rid of my Snoozy II, Thanks. Robin
Hi Christi! It was great meeting you too!!!! We had a great time hanging out around the fire with you and everyone else too!!!! Glad you like the video and thanks for being in it!!! Looking forward to seeing you again someday... Mike and Susan
Thanks for this! Fiberglass trailers seem to be much better constructed. Some of the ones built in Canada can really be 4 season units! My favorite was the Big Foot!
Hi Rosemary, Glad you liked the video! That Bigfoot was awesome! And some of these fiberglass campers can handle the cold weather! As always, thanks for watching and commenting!!!! We always appreciate your support!!! Mike and Susan
Great video! We bought our new to us 2005 Casita 17 Freedom Deluxe in November, 2015 and have camped well over 300 nights in it since then. We also attend 4 to 7 egg camper rallies per year. Love fiberglass egg campers!!! Thanks for reviewing molded fiberglass campers!!!
Nice video. We love our Casita--a 17' with a king bed. Can't beat that. LOL. We were initially looking at an Oliver but they're a bit spendy. They sure are nice, though.
Enjoyable video. I wonder if you could ask the owners as you tour their trailers what they tow them with and what it’s like. That is crucial information I’m interested in as well.
Everything ages and also everything requires maintenance. That being said, with modest care, a fiberglass camper will outlast almost all other types of construction. Some believe the aluminum Airstreams are durable in this way. Get caught in a hail storm of quarter sized hail with both and the fiberglass camper will come through with no real damage. The Airstream will need the skin replaced.
I like seeing the personalization the owners have done to make their campers more convenient. I'm currently researching for purchase '24/25 and the ideas are really helpful.
We pick up our brand new Casita in February and can't wait to join this cult, I mean community! 😄 Thanks for showing us around all of the other fiberglass campers.
I just love these fiberglass travel trailers . I’m hoping to own one in the near future. I just love the big size of the Bigfoot the best but the Quality of the Oliver is amazing❤
Hi Kim, It's amazing how everyone uses every single space in these campers to get the most storage out of them. We learned a lot from everyone at the Rally about cool storage ideas. Thanks for watching and commenting! Mike and Susan
I loved seeing different RV’s in one video. After seeing RV’s that were once on the top RV’s, end up on the worst list, I stopped shopping. After watching this video, I might go shopping again… 😊

Love that most of the folks here used to be Casita owners. A shout out to Dave Allen and Joan G.! I've owned them since 2007 and have been to several Pineknot gatherings. Great video!
Thank you! We truly enjoyed the Pineknot Rally and meeting so many amazing fiberglass owners. We were welcomed with open arms. Love RV Rallies! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
This was a fun tour. Thanks for everyone who shared their homes with us internet strangers! I kinda wish RV manufacturers took a page out of the boat and cruise ship cabin playbook, and did more collapsible bunk beds, where a top bunk folds out of the way for the day, and down for the night. I'm a mother of 4, yet we will likely never be full timers, so we just want something small that will boondock for a few days at a time, sleep 6+, and have a bathroom and kitchen so we can take breaks on our travels, without needing to tow a 40 foot camper. I spent a lot of my childhood on sailboats, so I'm used to tight spaces comparable these fiberglass campers sleeping like 8+, but having living and dining spaces, and sleeping spaces, and bathrooms and galleys (kitchen).
Boats are a great comparison for RVs. And they tend to have better looking interiors too! Thanks for watching and for offering this unique perspective. By the way - what's the best camper you have seen that meets most of your needs? Mike
@@RVBlogger There's no exact model I have fallen head over heels for. For a basic, common layout, I like the T@B 400 with the hidden bunk, and Pebble, although my family of 6 won't fit in their current floorplans! With the tow vehicle we would likely use for a tiny light trailer, though, we could sleep a couple people in the tow vehicle with seats collapsed, if need be. I looked at a Bullet Crossfire 2870QBWE at a local RV expo recently, and it just makes me want to find an RV with a quad bunk bedroom in a lot less room. Kids loved it, but I'm the one who'd have to tow that monster. It's more trailer than I think we need, or want. Right now, if someone took the general layout from the 19' long interior of a Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser 19TWD floor plan that has twin bunks in the front bedroom, and stretched it to the 23' frame, with quad bunk room in the front,, keep the split bath, and use the extra couple feet left to give us a U dinette at the rear, with a bit of a mudroom closet to the right of the door, and a slight increase in kitchen countertop space, I'd be lining up with my meagre savings. I do not need slides, and my family in general tends to convene at the dining table. So a big dinette is more functional for us. We could tuck four kids in bed in a quad bunk room, and turn the dinette into a bed when we go to sleep. Since we periodically have contractors out to our farm, it'd double as a guest house when we have a bunch of farm boys bucking bales or erecting fences out here. When we were walking through a bunch of Rockwood trailers at the RV expo, and their "pantry" or "walk-in-pantry" right by the door at the rear of the unit would make even a small space functional. A ventilated cabinet with room for shoes and coats would be excellent! I'm personally gravitating towards anything with a large solar panel setup as an option, and that already comes with sufficient holding tanks to boondock for long weekends with the family. (I went to school for architectural engineering, and have lived on boats and in tiny efficient European apartments, my brain thinks about tiny spaces all the time!)
@@spmamabear I don't think we have ever seen anything that is even close to what you are describing but you have given me a great title for a new video: Best Small Campers that Sleeps 6 People or something along those lines. We will be at the Hershey RV Show next week so maybe we will shoot a tour of something like this. Thanks and best of luck in your search! 'Mike
@@RVBlogger I think a lot of us out here just need something compact that doesn't lend itself to full timing. I would prefer mine to have double axles for towing stability because of my location and our white knuckle road conditions, otherwise I'd have a lot more options.
We purchased a 2022 Escape 19 and picked up in June. We traveled from WA to NY and back and loved our trailer. The great thing about Escape, if U buy new, is so much of it is customizable right from the factory. The other thing I like is the headliner is not carpet but foam backed vinyl. Good video showing the different brands.
Hi Mike and Susan! I think all of these fiber glass travel trailers are nice. They are special in their own way. Everyone dud a great job on fixing them up the way they wanted it. Very very nice! Thank you Mike and Susan! See you both soon!
Thank you Sherri. We are always so appreciative of fiberglass owners for allowing us an interview and tour their camper. We love fiberglass campers and the owners are very proud and passionate. Thanks for your support! ❤️
Very interesting videos of the fiberglass campers, I have never seen any while camping. They would be an excellent choice if someone wanted to upgrade from a tent or even a popup camper. They have enough space to fit two people comfortably and looks like they have a ton of space, very well laid out.
Thank you so much! I started watching this a couple of weeks ago and then had to stop. I had a heck of a time finding it again, not remembering your blogger name. I was almost in love with Oliver, but the refrigerator was too tiny, and no oven? No way. I loved seeing the one before the Casita Cult Closet maker. I have the video on my phone and can't remember off hand, but hearing that they used to have an Oliver and found this one, I am excited to look at one for myself!! Thank you for all of the time you put into your videos.
I like Bigfoot first, but I have to wait for so I'm looking at Casita. I wouldn't say I like the 3.1 refrigerators, but it is what it is. I can carry an extra cooler in my vehicle.
Hi Tita, There are many many vehicles that can tow a travel trailer so how would we make a video about that? Can you be more specific about what you would like to know? Thanks for watching! Mike and Susan
@@RVBlogger Hello! Interviewing RV owners,I would like you ask what car they use to take their RV.and why, that will help me choose the car I should buy so as not to make the wrong car. Thanks for your videos.
It was great meeting y'all at the rally! We love our casita independence. The dry bath in the bigfoot is attractive but the quality of Oliver is hard to beat. You didn't say which one was your favorite. I would love to know your opinions!
It was so great to meet you too!!! That's a tough choice! Based on size I would have say Oliver, but I do love a dry bath. LOL! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I owned an '88 Casita King Sleeper. That was when they were built on Mondays and Fridays. Axle broke because it was way underrated...like 2200lb. Cheap was the Plan of the Day when they were built. Did we enjoy it? Ya we did. Kids were small and we made do. Pulled it with a '90 Mazda van. It did alright for the most part. Back then, Casita was only in Rice, Tx and then we moved to Wa State. I wanna say we got it out the door for $7700. Still can't wrap my head around these things costing over $20K.
Sounds like you made some amazing memories in your Casita. Unfortunately the MSRP on all RVs has increased dramatically. Hopefully we'll begin to see prices come down. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
This was very informative and for a solo person the casita wins in function and price if comparing to a Oliver .You can add camping gear to make almost any mods to suit your needs without breaking the bank.
Really enjoyed learning about your fiberglass campers! So cute and well thought out! We already have a Lazy Daze motorhome (cult status too!) but would certainly have considered a Casita now that we understand more about them!

First time here and I do like it. Escape 21 is very spacey and I would like to ask you if they still make them. I don’t see these models on Casita site.
Thank you for the kinds words. We never mention tank capacity in our reviews. We try to keep them brief since we include several RVs in each. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the way you present the RV’s,,,,, there are 4 out of yall i watch… most of the sales presenters are too techi,,, they will talk about a gadget on the wall for half the video,,, they will not pull back or pan the camera around and when they are done, they were so close up on the camera you have no idea what the camper even looks like. You do good work.
8:24 Escape 21C - I really like what they did with the set up. Especially with the TV set up to view from either the bed or dinette. Got to be able to watch the college football...haha I could see myself living full time in something like this. 15:43 Oliver Legacy Elite II - Really like this one too. I could see this being a good full time living option. I would want the convection oven, microwave though. I do like to cook/eat when camping/living. 21:00 Bigfoot B25RQ - My favorite for the same reasons the owner mentioned. I would like to see a 20ft version of this, if there is such an animal. Absolutely love the layout of this one and the dry bath. 27:03 Casita Spirit Deluxe - Okay, I'm torn. This one could be my favorite. I love the one above, but would prefer a shorter version. I can give up the dry bath and full sized refer/freezer for something like this one. Absolutely love it.

Love fiberglass campers! Bigfoots are well made. There is a small camper called happy camper? Not sure but the inside was like legos ,storage cubes that you set up how you want or even out side.1 was a sink, several to make a bed, etc.,then there is the lil snoozy camper.beautiful all electric camper.loved the setup in that one.have you heard of those?
We love them too! I would love to tour a Happy Camper!!! We did get to tour a Lil Snoozy once at another fiberglass rally ua-cam.com/video/R5ofLqoRVZ8/v-deo.html Thanks for watching and commenting.
I like the fiberglass and the 4 seasons category for year round travels. Haven't owned one yet although I was a full timer and Park manager all year for 6 years. Couldn't ask for better neighbors and I seen all the different rigs. I eventually built a travel cabin from from the tires up. Sold it. Now I'm looking. Gold prospector me.
I bet you have met quite a few interesting people as a park manager. Love the durability of a fiberglass travel trailer. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Thanks for including a Bigfoot. There are not enough videos of newer models. A longer and more thorough walk around and walk through version would be much appreciated.
I always enjoy your videos, thank you. What I would find helpful, is knowing what type of vehicle they use to tow their RV. There is a lot to consider, and I’m not sure what type of tow vehicle I’ll need to buy, when I figure out what RV we want to buy. Also, I understand tongue weight is an important factor.
Sounds like you will be purchasing both an RV and a tow vehicle. I think it's important to find the travel trailer floor plan you like. Then you'll know the GVWR and hitch weight, that'll help you decide what tow vehicles to consider. Thanks for watching our tour video and commenting Brad.
Sorry Chef Duane we don't have those specs for each travel trailer. I would suggest checking out manufacturers websites for those details. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Mid-60s couple here. My husband still works full-time in sales, I work part-time from home.He has no desire to quit working 😮, thinks that men die when they retire 😢. I want to get out in nature and go birdwatching. We live in Florida with a fantastic park system. So we are looking at a compromise of him taking an extra day off every now and then. Sooo, we are replacing one of our cars. I am trying to figure what small camper would suit us. The tear drops just wouldn’t work with our present knees and joints. Maybe a Casita or a Scamp, maybe big enough to add 2 grandchildren in sleeping bags on the floor or bunks. The weight of those packed will tell us what size SUV/truck we need to get. Looking at a Ford Escape with I think a 3,500# limit. Probably not big enough. Or don’t fill water tanks until we get to campground
Sounds like you've started to do some good research. We always say only tow 80% of your vehicles tow capacity to be safe. The Ford Escape doesn't really have a high tow capacity. The Casita Heritage model has optional bunks. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I’ve recently learned the newer ford ranger might have a towing weight of about 5,500 lbs, depending how it’s set up. One of the most important things about towing is focusing on the tongue weight. Never fully max out a towing vehicle, as you’ll want to reserve a little of the “power” for climbing hills, and consider the weight of everything you’ll put into your camper when towing it. Happy camping.
@@genitagray6126 Sorry to hear this. I retired when I was 60 and we got our camper this May. No looking back for us. We are hitting the road and discovering all the hidden gems America has to offer. We make new friends at every location we camp.
Towing: Someone please comment about towing with a 6 cylinder FWD SUV . I have a Highlander rated for 5000 lbs I think. Is it really doable or practical? Any negatives?
We recommend that you only tow up to 80% of your vehicles max towing capacity which in your case is 4,000 lbs. So you need to find a camper that weighs around 3,000 pounds so after you load it with all of your gear and supplies it weighs around 4,000 lbs. Hope this helps! Mike

That is so much awesome information! Thank you for sharing! And thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Thanks for this! Fiberglass trailers seem to be much better constructed. Some of the ones built in Canada can really be 4 season units! My favorite was the Big Foot!

Nice video. We love our Casita--a 17' with a king bed. Can't beat that. LOL. We were initially looking at an Oliver but they're a bit spendy. They sure are nice, though.

It's amazing that a 17 foot casita can even hold a king sized bed!

Enjoyable video. I wonder if you could ask the owners as you tour their trailers what they tow them with and what it’s like. That is crucial information I’m interested in as well.
Thanks for the suggestion! I do include the weight of each RV for vehicle tow capacity. Thanks for watching and commenting.

She did a great job with the decor! Thanks for watching and commenting.
The best part of the fiberglass caravan is that it doesn't leak or get old.
We completely agree! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Same! I love seeing the decor and awesome storage tips! Thank you for watching our Fiberglass video and commenting!

Thank you Mildred! We always appreciate your support!

I like the fiberglass and the 4 seasons category for year round travels. Haven't owned one yet although I was a full timer and Park manager all year for 6 years.
Yes, thank you. However, it would be nice to know what vehicles people are using to tow their RV.
I really like the Casita Spirit Deluxe. I like the layout and can tow it with my 4Runner.
The Casitas are really nice trailers at a fair price. Sounds like a great set up! Safe travels!

I know the Olivers are, but which of these are 4 season trailers (heated tanks, inside plumbing, insulation, etc..)?
Sorry Chef Duane we don't have those specs for each travel trailer. I would suggest checking out manufacturers websites for those details. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Oliver and some Bigfoots are four season trailers. The rest are not.

Hey Flowers Flowers,
We appreciate the love and support and suggestion! Usually our videos do include the weight when we're at a RV Show :)

I did see weights at the beginning of most of these videos if not all. They are at the bottom of the screen.
Lol, my husband says he won’t retire & he’ll work half a day on the day of his funeral..
@@genitagray6126 Sorry to hear this. I retired when I was 60 and we got our camper this May. No looking back for us. We are hitting the road and discovering all the hidden gems America has to offer. We make new friends at every location we camp.

Found out the Scamp featured has 700 watts of solar!
So glad you enjoyed the Scamp and found out the watts of solar. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Mike
