I'm a 68 yr old Noob to guns. I'm still pretty strong but i cant do this . I have to push the slide release on all of mine. It's not for lack of strength. My instructor said to just flip the slide release with the thumb of my trigger hand, so it's what I do. I wish it worked your way,it just won't for me.
This was very helpful.
Thank you for some awesome information!
Glad it was helpful!
I thought I was the only one using the pickle jar analogy. Dammit, time to find a new analogy. Great video!
I came here after reading about the shooting of the United Healthcare CEO. All the articles are talking about the shooter racking the gun. 😊
Great information thanks
Glad it was helpful!
I love how there’s a whole 5 minute video for racking a handgun slide
Seriously it shouldnt have been longer than 20 seconds 😂
@ yeah like bro, grab the slide with a firm grip, pull it back until it stops, then release it (all while keeping your finger off the trigger)
Mmm, pickles

How to lock the slide?
Pull back slide. Push up slide lock. Or insert EMPTY magazine pull slide all the way back. Will lock into position.
Instructions Unclear, Racked Myself.
Need ice pack now.

Do it.
That's it! Bring it back near your core & use gross motor skills!

I find the finger tips on slide is easier, cant get a proper grip using that technique.
