Had a blast filming this video. Which is your favourite progression?

I like the second one best so far, the dramatic one with low D to E to F being the final three bass notes. That's as far as I've gotten thus far. Frustrating, took me half an hour to start to be able to play the second chord progression straight through without looking at your video.
Love the third one! I am still trying to learn the 2nd one. Looking forward to it! Very inspiring!
great. amazing what we can play with just a few chords (played in the 'right' progression) the diagrams on top of the keyboard help a lot !
Nice Holger. Glad you liked it/.
3rd chord progression makes me wish i had keyboard with weighted keys...i am tempted to buy one soon!
I currently have a Yamaha PSR f51, just a super beginner one!
I think you need a thesaurus, mate. You beat the word "epic" to death in this one. Had I turned it into a drinking game, I would been passed out by the 5th progression.
Cool idea on the suspension pedal tone in the I, IV progression. Of course that also lends itself to moving to either a ii chord (or F/D) to be followed by a V (or G/D) to add some motion in the bass whilst also giving it that suspended feeling.
Love your enthusiasm and your creative methods for using cords. I believe I spotted a small mistake in the printed text in Progression 2. The second cord says G (B / G B E) but you're playing G (B / G B D). I'm anxious to get to the keyboard and try these out--thanks!
Yes its a mistake. I thought at the time I would make some kind of error in all that. ah well. I sure everyone will cope! :) Glad you liked it.
Love This Channel!👊🏻❤️👊🏻
I’ve checked out about 20 different channels teaching piano, you sir are the best.
These videos are amazing. Thank you, sir!
Hey mate at the 5:08 your G chord says G(B / G B E) but you’re playing G B D, from hearing it G B D is the correct chord? Cheers!
Completly in love with the 2nd one 😍
Yeah, I thought that would go down well. Its all over film music and very uplifting.
Nice one Joe , have a well deserved Christmas break ( not too long though 😉) 👍🎅
Thanks Patricia. Yes i've had a bit of a break. I'll be back at it soon.
This is just what I need; very helpful chord progression with clear instructions. Thank you very much!
Really helpful video as always! Thank you very much!
Excellent. Glad you liked it Pedro.
Another great video. Thank you!
My pleasure. let me know how you get on with them!
great teaching, Josef!!! thank you!!
Nice one,for beginners.
Good stuff! Glad you liked it Devidas
Thanks for coming up with this and making it so easy to think about it. I think I missed the inverted chords lesson, as I still have to look at the keys I'm pressing to know what chord I'm playing! Good practice, though, and a lot of fun. Can't wait to get BETTER.
What about a video on basic piano patterns and how to build from there on ?? For absolute beginners ??
I love your videos they are sooo helpful thank you so much 💝
You're very welcome Natalya. What is it about my videos you like the most? I like to know what resonates with people.
@@Creativepianoacademy I love the way you talk through the notes/chords for beginners and not many you tubers would talk through them like that without being condescending and patronising so thank you 💝
I LOVE THISSS, I needed this!!! Thanks😭❤️
Excellent! glad you liked it.
Awesome vidéo ! I love all those chords progression. Thank you so much.
Wowwww I AM SO HAPPY. YOU ARE AWESOMED. I AM LEARNING A LOT WITH YOU. THANK FOR THIS FREE LESSON. (Sorry but I'm Spanish speaker)
Great as usual bro. I watch your vids regularly even though I won’t have my first set of keys til Christmas. But I love the way you teach and the fact that your creating your own music rather than playing songs all the time.
I’ve heard you talk a bit about guitar on a video or two, and I see the Strat on the wall. Do you play guitar as much as your piano and are you equally as good there? Teach guitar? If you do, I’d be interested as I really like your style.
My goal as a home musician only is to just be able to play my own creations and use multiple instruments. Maybe use piano as backing for guitar and Vice versa.
Keep up the great work.
Scott
Oh and my fav of the five was 2.
Hi Scott, really pleased you like the vid.
Yes I play guitar and I teach it equally as much as piano. I plan on starting another youtube channel soon dedicated to guitar. Really looking forward to that as my head is already brimming with ideas for videos. Thanks for the kind words man. really appreciate it!
Creative Piano Academy that sounds great man. Do something different than the norm and maybe incorporate some stuff that can be looped with piano progressions. As talented as ya are, would set ya apart from the other million UA-cam teachers or maybe your own niche.
In any case I’ll stay tuned and look forward to it. And of course, when I get my keyboard on Christmas, I look forward to working on some of your lessons.
Good stuff as always!
Excellent. Glad you liked it!
Thanks, very useful 👍
glad you liked it.
thank you
Very nice!
Thank you! =)
Glad you liked it, Konstantin!
Maestro: thank you much for sharing your genius with us. Do you have a reference tutorial sheet with the chords? If this possible, please let me know. A
enjoyed watching the video as much as you enjoyed making it. Thanks, Josef!
All the chord progressions are really good and my fovourite one is the the fifth one.
Wish you and your near and dear ones a merry christmas and a wonderful new year!
Thanks Rekha. Glad you liked it. Yeah the fifth one is good becuase it opens up the potential foe getting creative. merry Christmas
Thanks a lot, Josef. It's so nice of you that you've replied. Looking forward to lots of amazing videos from you. Best wishes!
Rekha Choudhury good!!
Thank you, Arjun.
D major is my favourite chord. It's extremely versatile.
♥️♥️♥️ very interesting
WooW😍😍😍, very helpfull, I NEED MORE MORE & MORE PROGRESSION
Haha. Try these first. You might like this as a next stage - ua-cam.com/video/2dn3qSePOa0/v-deo.html
very nice and useful .
Thank you!
Wicked!!!! Thanks
You're welcome!
This is so good, and just what I need.. But I am trying to watch your hands on the 5th Chord Progression to see exactly how you are "dancing around" on the keys. Do you think you could give just a little instruction on how to fill in the notes like you do. This is my biggest struggle.
A good place to start would be combining the chords from this video with the principles from this video - ua-cam.com/video/Fn_xCTDCRiU/v-deo.html That will get you seperating out the notes a bit more and getting a touch more musical.
Hi Joe,
Really like your relaxed style!
One thing I'd like you to do (if it is possible?) is publish a Midi File to accompany your vids?
You did a useful vid to show how you connected up your iMac a little while ago - which I also did.
It would be a very POWERFUL method to put your chords with your timings into a resource
which could then be examined and experimented with offline, before returning to your channel.
I also use MuseScore (www.musecore.org which is free) with which you can slow down the
tempo to suit your ability. Then as the chords become hardwired in your head speed up.
Anyhow THANK YOU for making so much effort to entertain and teach us a thing or two.
Mike.
Thanks you very much
You're welcome!
merci très belle vidéo encore une fois!!
J'adore!!
I like how you show us to be creative with simples keys. Thank you very much💖💖💝
Je vous souhaite de joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année🎆🎇🎆🎇🎄✨
Dieu vous garde.
Glad you liked it Melissa. hope you get something out of these progressions.
Thank you!
You're very welcome Jonathan!
This is one of your best videos on chord progressions. Love to have the chart on Patreon sub.
Hey Joe, nice video! :) Are all these progressions in the key of c? If so, it makes it easier for use to transpose to different keys. All the best/Felix
Thanks :)
You're welcome.
Hey Joe hope all is well! thanks for the progressions well done video as usual! All of the progressions are great but i am a sucker for Epic sounds so progression number 2 is the one for me. I have a Question Joe.. hopefully your answer will be beneficial to your other students as well. I tend to like the same expressions that you do...what is your favorite key to play in other than the Key of C? I have been getting familiar Playing in the other keys but there is not way i am going to be writing music in every key so i figured learning and mastering a few of my favorite keys would be best...What are your thoughts on this approach?
Thanks
Tony
Wow very nice. Thank. I like the last song. How to play it? It's so amazing...hoo my god. I would like to play it….
I like it very much - thx Josef 😏☕️
last 1 let it be
Tak for en god lærerig video
Can you do a video about passing chords next?
Yeah, I've had several requests for this so its now on the list
@@Creativepianoacademy Alright I appreciate it
great.thank you very much for this one too.i didn't learn music as a subject in my school life.but getting through your amazing videos i was able to play my keyboard quite good and i'm still practicing .but i know nothing about the sheet music .can i know weather that would be a big problem to become good in playing the keyboard .i'm still 19.i would lv to learn music from the begining too.
learning to read sheet music depends on your priorities and desires as a pianist. Reading music will help you in lots of ways, but there's lots you can do without reading music. Creative stuff, writing, improvising. lots of options. but on balance id say pick it up if you can!
yeah.thank you so much sir.many wd be glad if you make vds teaching sheet music too from A-Z for beginners like us sir.thank you again for the advice.
nice
thanks Manitha
Thank you. What is the chord progression of the second one? You didn't say the numbers. Thank you again.
6 5 1 2 1 4
Yes, Will alston got it.
Is there a way to download this as sheet music?
Afraid not Ken. Sheet music would be too much time investment right now. Maybe in the future. I like people to get creative with this stuff anyway and not get tied down to sheet music (but I do get its usefulness)
I got lost at the cord inversion. I got CEG, EGC, GCE. FAC, ???, ???
I want to understand chords so that I can understand the classical music that I want to play. Can I get there here. I want to understand the chord structure of the Bach piece I am learning.
2 👍👍 up
Haha. thx man!
The first one is my favorite
glad you liked it Verna
Hi Josef.
I was looking to buy the CPR on your piano academy, but on that page
you recommended doing the Best Adult Practice Plan first to see if that
is what is going to help.
On the Best Adult Practice Plan page the sign up link doesn't work.It
just freezes with the "Submitting" animation and never sends an
email.I've tried several different email addresses and I've tried in
both Firefox and Chrome, both with, and without, an adblocker.
This is frustrating in itself, but also doesn't really fill me with confidence
for parting with sixty quid and potentially receiving nothing.Help!
UncleBubba hey. I’m away right now but will investigate when I’m home. The email submission to simple get the practice plan and the actual paid course run on 2 different systems and aren’t connected. It sounds like you are having trouble with submitting your email. Sorry about that, it is unusual but I’ll take a look as soon as possible. Thx.
Unclebubba - I've investigated and couldn't find any issues. I managed to sign up and have had several sign ups in the meantime. I'm not sure what the error is you are facing but shoot me an email to support (email link on the checkout page) and i'll see if we can sort it for you.
almost John's lennon's imagine
Passing chords?😬
yeah been getting a lot of requests for this. i'll put something together.
Thank you🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️
