Nikki (8,) Jordan (15,) and Justin (12,) were on their way home from playing at the park when they heard high-pitched screams coming from the bushes. That's when they discovered 4 tiny, newborn kittens - alone and starving. What they do next makes them heroes.
The 4-day-old kittens still had their eyes closed when they were crying and trying to clamor out of their nest. The children put the kittens back in their nest knowing Momma might return. They waited and waited but she didn’t.
They knew time was against them. It was getting late and the kittens were still crying and certainly hungry. Nikki got her mom who tried to feed the kittens as best she could. Knowing she was in over her head, she reached out to Cats at the Studios and Cheri who specializes in bottle babies.
It was Academy Awards night and Cheri for once wasn’t taking care of a litter of kittens - well, that is until the phone rang. Within an hour, Cheri was able to coordinate a pick-up for the kittens. But, by the time the kittens reached her, it was already too late for one kitten that was gasping for its last breath.
Cheri held it in her hands as it passed in peace. Then she went to work to save the lives of the other three kittens that were likely stressed and starving from not having their mother’s milk.
Nine weeks later, aptly named Oscar, Brie and Leo are thriving. All three turned out to be Siamese and are beautiful. They went to their forever homes at their first adoption fair.

if I had a kitten and it was dying, I'd probably be crying so hard while holding it close to my heart so it could hear my heartbeat like they had most likely heard their mothers before.
God hasn't given up yet on this world because of people like you ....

I saved a kitten back in 2009 and we decided to keep him. At first, his
name was Snowball, but then when he got older, he looked more like a Siamese,
so we changed his name to Fuzzball. X3

Those poor kittens... It makes me so happy seeing people do great things for animals, and helping them. So many animals are treated very poorly, but it makes me so happy seeing humans being so kind to animals like this.

Love that they were smart enough to see if the mom would come back. glad they were able to save them. rip little kitten at least you died in a warm place with a loving person holding you.
Now I know that atleast some people have a huge heart.....even if they are children they could save one living organism or more.....
I bottle raised a litter of five feral kittens. It was one of the scariest, most rewarding experiences of my life. I kept all of them, and 16 years later I still have two left.

samantha 1234 One time, my family found a white newborn kitten at a restaurant. Then we took it home because the mother was no where to be found, it was almost midnight and we couldn't go to the vet so we took care of the kitten. The next day, we went to the vet to see if the kitty can get a new mama. One of the mamas had kittens that were a few months older than the kitten so the veterinarian (I forgot how to spell it sorry.) put it in a single cage. But sadly, the next day it died. At least, it died with good loving memories. Rest in peace, Champ! (Thats the kitten's name I gave it because that kitty never gives up.)

one of our new moms had 3. one was cream colored runt. at 3-4 weeks she couldn't fight for life anymore. I wish she lived. she would have been beautiful

I have a soft spot for Siamese cats and this made me happy but also sad at the same time.
So cute and I love kittens
A local feral cat just had kittens in a bush in the yard today. She is being a good mom and staying right with them. I set some cat food and chopped chicken next to her and she ate and went right back to her kittens.
Most moms do return to their kittens but some that are hurt or starving do not. In the case of the Siamese litter, Momma did not return.
What a shame the little one couldn't make it but I am so pleased the others have been given the chance and are thriving. :)

My brothers and I found 4 little kittens in the woods behind our house, they were tiny and helpless. They were in an old wood pile by a wire fence. I went inside to get our previous dog's bed and a box, and my little brother just laid in the box while they huddled against him for warmth. My mom came out and told us to leave the poor little dears, and when I suggested the KHS, she said they would youtheniz such small babies. We put the kittens back, but we never saw them again.

i found my cat meatball in a rose bush with thorns, she was only a little older than this. I still have her; she may not be the most friendly cat but i still love her lol

Many years ago.....we were living in an unincorporated part of Alabama. The nearest humane society was 20 miles to the West of us. We had a glassed in two car garage with it's own heat and air, and we had a reputation for taking in cats. No dogs. Only cats. One morning the girl living with us went out to go to work and heard kittens in a box by her car. It was cold, the temperature had been down in the low forties the night before....she ran in with them, woke me up, and dumped them on me and ran back to go to work. I had to go to town, get a few cans of condensed goats milk, and run home. One of the kittens was already dead. Another was sick...upper respiratory infection, and the other four were in trouble. I spent the next two days feeding five kittens every two hours. My mom helped, and my friend helped when she could, and we managed to pull four of them through. The one who was sick didn't make it though. Sadly enough when a kitten gets badly sick like that even a round of antibiotics doesn't always work. I gave two of the kittens away, but the other two we had fallen in love with. Curiosity and Milky. When we moved to Florida they came with us. They both lived for a few more years, but they both had heart conditions that doomed them to short lives.

One day, I just got home from visiting grandma. I heard some high pitched meows and I know it will be a little kitten. I reached him and he was on the bookcase ( it actually not a bookcase but I didn't know how to spell it ). Cats often visit my backyards. It was actually a room with a hole from backyards so cats can leave their kittens there. So I tried my best to take care of him. I love cats, but I didn't know it was this hard since my mom hates cats. I repeatedly say to my dad to take him to vet. But my dad doesn't care. One day, after got home from school, my dad say to me that the kitten has been adopted by other people. It such a relief because that kitten has been meowing everyday finding his mom and don't wanna shut up. I hope that kitten are healthy now...

We disagree. The children waited quite a while for mother to return. She did not. It does happen where the mommy cat does not return albeit rare. In fact, she has not been seen from since.

My childern and i,Thru the years have taken Care of many Baby animales.When you find abanded Babies most of the time there is some Thing rong with them.Every Time we would Feed them,we knew they might Not Live untill the Next Time.We saved some,and Lost some too but they we're Safe,and warm.
I saved two kittens that were stuck inside of a wall and I am taking care of them I had to bust the wall with a crowbar luckily it was a thin wall and the measuring was on point!
I have a white cat with one of his eyes is blue and the other is yellow and he have now one year old, he was abandoned by his mother with two weeks old. I took care of the cat and now he is so big and it makes me feel good, because i did the job of his mother and now he is soo big.

This exactly happened to me 😢 - my grandma and I found 4 kittens in a bush, there were kids surrounding it and messing with them, and I told them to back off, and that we had to put them in a little box and wait tomorrow and see if the mom comes... she didn't :( - their eyes were closed, and we saw 2 of them dead in the other bushes, probably form the kids :( ... so we took them home (in our town nobody really cares about little fragile kittens considering you'd see them everywhere) so we took them home, took care of them - fed them tiny soggy cereal, they were so cute and healthy for 2 days until.. one of them died, we were out for awhile - and we came home to find the girl, dead... - in her box with her brother, and the brother was just meowing, we got home In time it almost crawled out of its box, so we took it out, put the sister in a little box and had a funeral for her, anyway, sadly, sadly sadly - the next morning 5am something, he died... we put them in the box together, and--
And we put them in a box together and placed them under a cute bush, rip Peaches and Apricot ❤️ we gave you those 3 last days xx..

There mom didn't come back, hi sorry it's me Nikki from the video. I'm 12 now and my neighbors all grew up. We left the cats their around 4 to stay with their mom, but their mom didn't come back the next day. Thanks for asking!

Aww! Oscar looks EXACTLY the same as one of my rescues, Melody! Sugar is her sister, but she's way more fluffier than these three. As for my other two cats (one being another rescue), they are a Manx (we think) and a domestic short hair. So obviously they look nothing like them :P
