I bought Terra Mystica off the back of your (and other) reviews and while we enjoyed it. On our first game earlier this week, I wasn't blown away as much as I thought I would be. I think this is mostly due to our game being about the rules rather than the game play & strategy and am looking forward to playing a follow up game now we have the basics under our belt. Once again. Thank you for your reviews. You've been my go to source for quality reviews for many years now.
Brass Birmingham & Agricola knocked our little cotton socks off on our first play and continue to do so after many plays. But yes, most games do take multiple plays to get through the rules and into the strategy before they become awesome.

I’ve never been blown away by any game after one play. Terra Mystica needs time for sure.

Terra Mystica is garbage. An unbalanced, broken and unsalvageable mess.
