Have you thought about doing Finnish mythology? It's something that almost no one knows, and could be interesting for a lot of people. Väinämöinen would be a great character to talk about, as he was a big inspiration for Gandalf in LotR
Is that the guy who sings to do magic? If it is there was a newspaper comic based on him showing up in the modern world.
Or Ojan Paavo, mightiest of Finland's sons.
Fins are Christians right?
@@yj9032 so are the swedes and greeks, but their mythology has been covered by the show
Yea that would be great
Wait a minute.... THOSE ARE NOSES AND ARMS, HERESY!
That's cz they are gods silly. The humans and avatars dont have arms.

Once Ganesh and Karthik (his older brother) were in a bet to see who could go around the world the fastest. While Karthik got in his chariot and fly away, Ganesh simply took a spin around Shiv and Parvati, symbolishing that for a son, his parents are his world. Ganesh won the bet.
0:30 Parvati: Shiva's the imposter, I saw him stand over the body!

Lol...that was good😂😂
Amazing joke 😂
That was weirdly offensive
Please make an episode on when demons and gods came together to find the sacred amrit
Edit: I'm sorry reply section i just didnt remember the names that is i went with the demons and gods
Bro u r wrong they are not gods and demons
They are suras and asuras
God and demons is western term and we don't have that kind of things in hinduism
Actually demons are bad and eveil beings and they heats gods they all are against live
But asuras are diff all asuras are not bad there are so many asuras like pralhad and rja bali who are so great devotee of lord Vishnu
So don't compare asuras with demons
Not demons and gods.
Devas and Asuras is what you meant.
Devas are children of Rishi Kashyap and Aditi, whereas Asuras are children of Rishi Kashyap and Diti.
@@tanishq3917 It's not too bad an analogy. Demons and God fit well.
The presentation of nanndi is perfect .

In the "even to this day" shot, shouldn't one of his tusks be broken?
Yep.
Yup
why is that?
Parshuram was the one who did that.

I JUST STARTED MY HINDUISM UNIT IN SOCIAL STUDIES THANK YOUUUUUUUUU
Heck yeah! I've been wishing for more representation of Hindu mythology in the west. I hope we see more of this!
By the way, the version I grown up with ,In that epic that was not a regular elephant but A demon(Asur) named Gajasura who offer his head in this as he was defeated, punished and preached by Shivji(Bholenath) and now he want to offer his head to get redemption(Moksh)
Didn’t expect the level of accuracy in the story... impressive 👍👌

@Eren787. In West Bengal, we worship Mother Kali on the day of Diwali. We call the ceremony, Kali Puja. So, both goddesses are worshipped on that day.

And Ganesha kinda looks like Lumpy from Winnie the Pooh, also very cute
Nandi mahraj looks sooo cute here. He's adorable!
6:15 Yeah...Ganesha's totally got their back
There are some bits missed out before the head chopping... Like how all the other gods had offered to battle him first because Shiva's destructive rage could wipe out the universe... And all then got defeated by said boy.
Still, I enjoyed the video. Keep em coming.

I've only known about these Gods until now because of SMT-Persona, so its nice to find out their lore.
Not sure how you forgot to mention, but he is the god of wisdom & remover of obstacles. Quite an important domain if you ever want to achieve anything
God of Wisdom and Remover of Obstacles? Makes total sense for an elephant, an animal well know for great memory and strenght.
hmm, is that symbolism for wisdom and knowledge being foremost?
Even more important then all the other gods and their attributes?
God Ganesha is revered in Thailand even though we are mostly Buddhist. He's our God of Success, Arts, and History. I'm a graduate of Silpakorn University (Thailand's University of Arts). God Ganesha is the symbol of our University because of that.

Wait... are those... ARMS?!?!?! And NOSES?!?!?!
ACTUAL EYES??
I love that you really simplified the story. It was beautiful, and I very much enjoyed listening to it. Keep up the excellent work. Also, all those who listened to this story, it covers the very vague outline of the story there were a lot of elements into play especially the boon that shiva gave to his elephant devotee (Gajasura) and many more. You can refer to Shiv Puran for all the interesting stories.

The opening line is very very true for this one
Loving these Hindu stories, its one of the mythos/religions that I have most difficulties trying to learn about
As a Hindu I can say its very similar to Greek Mythology, Stories of Gods falling in love with Humans, Demi Gods and Gods helping Men with Divine Artifacts which would aid them in Wars.
