Thanks so much! 😊 yes - I love the chalk because of the depth and the splatters are just the perfect “finish”. I’m glad you agree. Thanks for watching.
Yes, mine too - unless I’m tired, haha. I also enjoy this part the most, I think. I like creating pockets, but I really love adding details. Thanks for watching Dawn!
Hi Kathleen, the journal is such a beauty, and the finishing touches add that bit of sparkle that sets it apart. This has been such a great series. I have looked forward to every video showing the next step. Very informative and helpful to me, but I'm sure especially to beginners who have many questions about the process and where to start and how to finish. As always, I enjoyed spending the time with you.
I just had your channel pop up . I'm loving your tutorials. I wouldn't have thought to glue the key with the bow onto my tab. You have some great, simple suggestion and I need them all. Thank you
The one aspect that I so admire about your journal creating is the style that you give to each one. Your little additions always provide the right finishing touches for whatever the theme, colour combination etc. Just “perfect” in my eyes! 😊 Thank you for this wonderful, thoughtful, informative series, Kathleen. I am so grateful to have found your channel and your friendship way back when. 😀💞
Wonderful instructions, thanks Kathleen. And especially thanks for showing how to mend some stamping hoppalas , been there and I could not come up with a good solution without making it worse... therefore a double "Thanks!"
"accidental crafting"--I love that term, Sandy. It happens here, too. Sometimes the mistakes take me in a direction I hadn't thought of before, and I end up liking the result better than what I had thought I would do to begin with. The mistakes force me into a more creative mode, I think.
This is a wonderful tutorial 😊 Thank you in particular for the masking tape trick when using stencils! I recently bought a nice set of stencils, but was stymied as to how to isolate them because they’re all very close. I can’t believe I’d never thought of that :/ ❤
Kathleen, I am an absolute beginner, just about to start my first junk journal. What are those little hook things you use to fasten the charms onto the page? I’m assuming I could find them on Amazon if I knew what they were called.
Just a suggestion... check while your recording that you're up enough while filming that we can see what you're doing.. often the bottom 1/3 or 1/4 we couldn't even see..thanks
So much inspiration. 😊 The chalk and white splatters really amp up the stamps. 💖💖💖

This is my most favorite part in creating the books. Even silly bits look interesting and extra special.
Yes, mine too - unless I’m tired, haha. I also enjoy this part the most, I think. I like creating pockets, but I really love adding details. Thanks for watching Dawn!
Thank you so much for your instruction, your sense of detail is masterful, so creative and inspiring to watch. 🙏
Thanks so much Bront! I appreciate that.
I love this little series. It's perfect for beginners and the experienced as well. Great job Kathleen!
Glad you enjoy it Lori! Thanks so much for coming by!

Thanks so much Kerri!
Thank you Kathleen!
My pleasure Susan! Thanks for watching.
Wonderful Kathleen! I enjoyed watching you show how to add journal jewels to your journal. Carol from California
Thank you Carol!

Wonderful tips! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome Teresa! Thanks so much for watching.
Lots of inspiration. My favorite was the book jewelry. My style is more on the plain and simple side so I tried to pay more attention to that part 😊.
I love it too Evie, but then I also love simple! Thanks so much for watching.

Thanks so much Andrea! Yes, we’ve all been there with stamping glitches, for sure! It’s a relief when the fix actually looks better, haha.
I think of all the accidental crafting I do here. You’re so right that we can fix anything. Splatter away, dear friend, splatter away.

@@lindaspaperworks exactly my thoughts. I love crafting outside the box (and also using the box).
Agree Linda! Forced creativity is good practice!
Hahaha - it’s a good thing boxes are so easy to get, right?
I love the term accidental crafting, haha - that’s such an apt description!
Thanks so much for another inspiring video❤️ You always have something new to teach me🌻
I’m glad for that Michele! Thanks so much for coming back again and again!
I love learning from you Kathleen. You are a wonderful teacher! 😇
How do you keep the chalk from rubbing off or smearing?
Aww - thank you very much Tomi! I appreciate you!

I’m assuming I could find them on Amazon if I knew what they were called.
@@BOOKKAT74 Thanks for reaching out! They are called “bulb” pins and they are easily available on Amazon in all kinds of colors. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for the reminder Carla!
