Me too Myriam. Thanks lovely☺️🤗💜
I love this pocket Julie. I see your ‘waffling’ as a friendly chat. 🦋🌸❤️
Thanks Gayle, i'm a hermit and i offload everything on you lovely ladies☺️🤗💜
Loved it Julie ❤ and your waffling 🤣 you are such an inspiration with all your lovely tutorials. You are my favorite 🌹❣️
Thanks Claudia, really glad you enjoyed it love 😁🤗💜
You are so calming in such a hectic world. Thank you❤
Thank you so much Marcee😊🤗💜
'Pocket Full of Bits.' Let's start a band and call it that 🤭
(Puts on nerd glasses 🤓): You were correct when you said if not lining up all 4 corners, line up the bottom left LAST. But the reason is just slightly off. That corner isn't looked at last, it's just paid attention to the least. This is because in languages that use the Latin alphabet (like English), writing is read left to right, and top to bottom (a 'Z' pattern). Someone long ago in newspaper design decided that any information that is placed in the top left corner gets the least viewing time from the reader, and is remembered less. The bottom right corner holds the most important information. It's called "visual hierarchy," and is an important design element still used today (also, people who are right-handed "trust" the information on the right of the page more than the left). Thank you for coming to my TED Talk 😃
Also, I still say "Cool!" And I'm *VERY* cool (as evidenced by the novel I wrote above about a subject no one asked about 😂😂). And I refuse to believe I'm old 🤷🏼♀️
OMG you gave me a good laugh there, but i also found it very interesting and i will remember it as i am an anorak😘
I'll forget your birthday, but i'll remember all sorts of random stuff .
I used to have insomnia back in the day when the only tv at night used to be open university lectures. I know, but don't understand alot of suff😅
Thanks Ted☺️🤗💜
Thank you for showing how to make an aperture using a paper trimmer. Such a good idea! 😊
You're welcome Joanne, really glad you enjoyed it 😊🤗💜
Nothing wrong with a good old waffle fest❣️lovely pocket ~Sue

I love this sweet pocket. I never tire of acetate! Thanks for the heads up on using “ cool”.
You're welcome love, really glad you enjoyed it 😊🤗💜
Besides that Beautiful pocket, I've learned something very valuable this morning. That trick cutting out the window blew my mind!! 🤯🤯 In all the years I've made things or seen others make any "window" item, I have Never seen them use that trick!
Matter of fact, before your video at 4 am, I just hand cut a specimen card window for some honeysuckle I pulled from my tree last night.
Thank you for this Amazing, definitely time saving, craft life altering trick!
❤❤❤💐🌟💡👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
glad you'll find it useful love. I learned that one way back when at a craft fair, i felf the same way 😁🤗💜
Pocket turned out lovely ! So enjoy your videos & all your fun chatter. TFS
Thank you so much Billie Joe☺️🤗💜
Love this pocket.
Thanks Penny☺️🤗💜
Hello from the US. Loved this video. I had a cat for 15 years named Mucksie (she just died last year). I found her as a small kitten in a mud puddle. She was in a bad way. I couldn't even tell what color she was. She was so mucky and hours from death. Hence, her name Mucksie. When you said that in the UK, "we call it mucky" we do too. We also call chore boots for cleaning barn stalls muck boots or say "mucking the stalls". Just love all the different phrases. You are lovely!
You are so much fun to watch!!! I love this journal and the way you put it together!!! I really like the way you embellished the pocket!!!
Thanks Betty😊🤗💜
Love!! The eyelets are wow! The whole pocket came together beautifully. I am almost where I can craft anytime I want to. My job is ending and I will be staying home. I was working for fun so now I will craft for fun!! Thanks for the “cool” ideas. Lol
That's fabulous Susan, i suppose you could say i'm working for fun😁🤗💜
That turned out perfect!
So good! So good!, as Timmy would say. Thank you Julie, this is a really great series.
Thanks Doris😁🤗💜
Hi Julie, I could watch you crafting & chat all day long & never get bored, you have taught me so, so much in the rabbit hole of junk journaling. I have tried doing that with scissors or with a sharp knife and a ruler, and I mess it up every time!! I then just don't do it and fugure out something else to put in my journal. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I love the acetate pock you made for your journal!! Great video!!

@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Never mind wasps. I was out dealing with my pond this morning and a ladybird dropped in my hair. I felt it moving when I got in the house so Brushed it out with my hand. The little horror bit me.
OMG i heard those little blighters could bite, hope you're ok love. i had a mosquito in the craft room tonight, i hate them with a passion😅 full body mossie net me thinks😘🤗💜

I’ve been in bed with a bad back for over two weeks and thank the good Lord that I’ve discovered your channel! You keep me laughing and entertained! I’ve really enjoyed watching your videos, it takes my mind off my troubles as well as you’ve introduced me to the craft of making journals and folios etc! I can’t wait to get better so I can try my hand at making one. You are very talented and your journals are beautiful! I am a card maker normally but I think I’d like to branch out.
I feel your pain Linda, hope you're up an about soon love, nothing worse than when it goes and the only option is bed, so frustrating. You will love being able to use all your card making supplies and techniques for journal making. Thanks love 😊🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Thank you so much for replying and your kind words! You just made my day!

Love this idea Julie! ❤
Thank you so much Karen☺️🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns you’re welcome xx
I am the same Julie, I have about 3 styles so tend to be drawn towards those. I never thought to make ephemera first but this is a great idea! This style you are demonstrating is definitely one of my styles. I love what you do and love your conversation during the video. Thanks for sharing.
I never used to be like that Sophie, i just seem to have very shot attention span these days. Glad you enjoyed the waffle too love😁🤗💜
👍🧡
Thanks Anita☺️🤗💜
Ah...such a good Timmy project! (BTW- I live in the same town he and Mario does. I've never seem them. 😮)

Julia this back page is very nice love the aged look could you do that closer pocket made from book pages . again some time love looks of that thank you as always your work is spot on ❤❤thank you
THEOLA
Hi Theola, thanks love🤗
Yes it would work with any paper really. Maybe glue a couple of pages together for a bit of sturdiness.
I need to play with book pages, not used any for a while ☺️🤗💜
Just love it!❤
Thanks Sandy☺️🤗💜
This is a great video Julie. I have been wanting to do something with acetate. Fun project. Thankyou. ❤😊
You're welcome Anita, thanks for watching love ☺️🤗💜
Relatively new subscriber, really admire your work, and especially love your northern humour, being a Lancashire lass myself. Keep looking out for new additions on your channel, have recommended you to my fellow junk journal friends, great pocket!!x
Hi Christine, welcome to the channel love 😊 i don't get as many videos out lately, the teen twin terrors are in the middle of GCSE's and i often feel the need to lie down in a dark room or emigrate to Alaska🤗💜
Some things just have to be seen -- the eyelets dressed it up, however, I think the tab on the card took it up visually another notch.
Thanks lovely 😁🤗💜
Hey there pretty lady, I hope all is well with you and your family and that you guys are having wonderful weather there. I’ve been re-watching some of your older videos, all of my favorites. My all time favorite is a journal that you made out of a gorgeous (to me) blue folder that you buy for your daughter’s schooling. I haven’t come across it yet this morning but the day is young so I’m sure I’ll find it. I absolutely love the folder you used because of the color, I’ve looked on our Amazon here in the US but they’re terribly expensive and you have to buy them in bulk. I’m not about to spend 50 bucks on 50 folder’s when I’d only ever use a couple of them.
I made this frame pocket when you first did the video but I used a laminated sheet. I just ran a empty sheet through the laminator so I didn’t need to spend the extra money for acetate. I haven’t tried sewing it though, I’m worried about messing up my sewing machine. You come up with so many amazing ideas for journals, you’re very creative and crafty. Thanks for another great video and as always I’m sending loads of love and prayers your way ❤🙏
OMG i just checked the price on those folders, they used to be about $20😶
I love laminators and laminator sheets. not naming names but i was sad to hear another youtuber tell her viewers that laminators weren't worth the trouble 🤨 mine gets used for allsorts and that was a great idea of yours love.☺️🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns our prices are gone crazy mad high, it ridiculous! I love my laminator, I got a sweet deal on it and have enough sheets to last an entire crafty family a lifetime, my girlfriend retired as a teacher and gave me a huge tote of things that I can use for crafting. Free gifts used for crafting are always nice to get, crafting definitely isn’t a cheap hobby!
Hi Julie! 🌸 Beautiful back acetate pocket! ❤ Love how you had the perfect journal card from your ephemera stash. 😃 You are too cute! Suggesting an ink called ‘dirty’ (rebranded ‘mucky’ in the UK) by TH. 😂
Thanks Sylvia😁 it would be a fab ink tho😅😁🤗💜
So love this! What a great pocket! Hugs 🍀💚☘️
Cheers ma dears😁🤗💜
So very beautiful! I love that this is what you chose for the back of the journal. I think I’m going to make something similar for mine because it just turned out so lovely! 🤗❤️❤️❤️
Thanks love🤗 It turned out so different to what I had in mind. There wad going to be lots of labels, but it didn't need it in the end. Glad you enjoyed it 😁🤗💜
This is awesome thank you for showing how you cut the window.
Funny story this Summer I have wasps in my home too! Not but a couple but even 1 is bother, right?! Haven't found how they come in yet! I live in TX USA. Love you love your inspiration!
Thanks again love. We haven't had any more since, touch wood. We have had a few giant spiders and i mean giant by uk standards. Never seen spiders so big in my whole life😐😁🤗💜
I was just making vellum pockets, now I need to redo this kind instead 😆- very nice!
I considered vellum Debbie, then I forgot😘 I do need to make vellum pockets though, thanks love ☺️🤗💜
Love it❤ cool pocket. I dunno how I missed watching last night. Must have been the thunderstorms that blew my coffee dyed doilies all over the yard 🙄😢 lol 😆
Oh no, I hope you had some usable ones left Candis 🤗💜💜
Lol, just 1 🤷😂Oh well, it wasn't for anything in particular .So it's no biggie lol. I am eyelet crazy. I can't wait to get some. Thanks for linking stuff for us US ladies. 💚🫶💚
You're welcome love. Poor little doilies😐🤗💜
found the whale tail die on ETSY they come from Sprectrum art creations they come in 3 or 4 sizes also it had hole reinforcers i am loving mine was not expensive i made one of these pockets for the little folio we made the other day mothers day it was so kooool i love it gave it as a gift i even put in a waterfall i am making anothern one as a gift for my friend in new york fun fun fun page love what you did today had some of those nasty bug in my house did not see them they got me nearly took my eyes out they got my nose my face was so swollen be careful with them
So glad you enjoyed this🤗
I'll have to check out that shop 😃
Thankfully wasps in the UK are a bit less deadly I think.
Fingers crossed I've seen my last one😊🤗💜
Great addition to your journal. I love those journal cards, I don't remember watching you make them but definitely want to make some.
When you said it was only 4 wasps, I said out loud to you 4 wasps is to many wasp. Horrible little things.
Thanks Marcie love😁yes i really don't like wasps, hopefull no more will appear🤗💜
Hello Julie, love how it looks on the back page, just beautiful. TFS💙
Thank you so much Denise☺️🤗💜
When I first started I purchased an American Craft cutter at an outlet store. Not the best but ok. The only problem is that you can't get blades for it. I tried and ended up getting another cutter, smaller with 1 blade and a score tool. Then I ordered a Memory Keepers fold out cutter / score board. It's too big for my crafting place. I'm not too fond of it either. I have a problem cutting a horizontal straight line with it. It could be my table though. I'm using my kitchen table with a drop leaf. The top isn't perfectly flat because of the drop leaf. Anyway l ignored my own rule, "buy the best you can afford". I went cheap because I wasn't sure that I was going to like journal making and didn't want it invest a lot of money in it. I've done several other crafts and I usually go nuts and purchase more than I need. All this is to say, I'm going to get a Fiskars cutter. That will make it the 4th cutter I've purchased. I should have just purchased it in the beginning. I could never cut out a square with the cutters I currently have.😢
Don't feel bad, I've always been the same until recently and I still sometimes do it now. In fact my first trimmer of this type was a cheaper one and the blade kept cutting into the plastic instead of staying in the groove if you get me.
Also as a bit of a part time conspiracy theorist, I don't think even the best companies want to give us the perfect tools or they wouldn't be able to sell them again when they're redesigned. I think they always hold back.
I love junk journalling as I get to use all the stuff I've bought for other crafts and boarded☺️🤗💜
Interesting Julie. I've been starting each journal, (Daughter's, Mum's, niece's :D ), with your four piece ephemera bundle. I'm tending to make 3 signatures but if I've got the four pieces first, in related papers, ideas for the rest comes more easily. :)
Hi Helen, that sounds like a good plan☺️🤗💜
What a work of art Love, the whole thing!! Well done, Shes a beauty!!
**back to the dang wasps... Hun, please, get someone to check the yard, bet you have a small nest... remember they do nest in the ground, not just up under stuff. 4 in the house is way too many.... I havent seen too many here yet, ... but its terribly smokey.. anyhooo, love love love this journal, wish I would have made along... I dont think you have made anything I did not like hahahaha... Much love xx
Thank you so much Mrs☺️
Really glad you like it. This one came together without much of a plan really which are always the ones I enjoy making the most😁
Yes the wasps get a bit annoying here, we have a small wooded area to the back of the house. A few nests have been moved over the years🤗💜
@@CameliaCraftsDesigns Im sure Im going back and making one... I just love how it all goes sooooo nicely together.... just perfect... and I bought 4 pads of Reminisce paper pads.. its much like tims... Wheeeeeee!!!
Love and hugs always xx :))
ooo those pads are gorgeous aren't they, i haven't taken the plunge yet, i have far too much stuff i need to use first☺️🤗💜
How did I miss you making a Timmy Journal I do not know lol I will definitely going back and checking it out. I do love your work. On the weekend I was given a gorgeous old atlas and seeing your policy envelope on the other cover has given me a great idea for my travel piece for this months travel challenge. Thank you for being so inspiring and wonderful to watch. 23:26 💖
Thanks Yvonne🤗 using atlas pages sounds like a great idea. I need to play with book pages, haven't for ages.
☺️🤗💜
This has been great. Love to hear you waffle about yourself as a person. Sometimes I think your around my age or close to gma age but then I think you have teenagers so you can’t be older. I think I’ve heard you talk about various places you’ve lived. That sounds interesting. You do have a very interesting personality. Thanks for the entertainment. Blessings! @theresaconway-hayes
Hi Theresa, i'm 54 so i could be a grandma😘 I was an older mum and my mum was an older mum, so i often speak like i'm older if that makes sense. My friends are mostly older than me too. Thanks love☺️🤗💜
I cannot wait to watch this when I get home, Julie!!!💙💙

Miss Julie, I just love it. You make everything look so amazingly beautiful. Love the card you put in the pocket also. Hi Paula, i do like my sayings😅 don't gild the lily means don't overdo it with the decorations😁 thanks for watching love☺️🤗💜
Hi Julie! I have loved watching this journal come together... it's lovely. May I ask what thickness the acetate is you used for the pocket? Thank you for sharing your creativity. Waffle on dear, I so enjoy watching and listening! ❤
Hi Sharon, it was an old pack from my stash and it said 250gsm on it. Just been reading up and it translates to 200 to 220 micron. It's about the thickness of Tim Holtz packaging. Hope that helps love☺️🤗💜
Miss Julie, I couldn't find the cover of your journal for the Timmy journal. And the pages you put in it. I only saw the ephemera that you are going to put in. Am I blind? Sorry to trouble you. 🥰
