Not seeking validation is the greatest tip that helps for me. I don’t like confrontation and always like people to like me which makes me super nervous when speaking up. I’m reminding myself that there are other principles that are more valuable to me than being liked, like staying true to myself. ❤
As the youngest person in my workplace and in all external meetings… I needed this. Also good to know that I’m not the only one struggling with this, since I’m surrounded by lots of outgoing folks. I appreciate you so much! Much love from Washington DC
I don't know is it just me who listen her so clear and easy to understand her English. Her articulation is purely gold! I'm not good in English but despite of the low volume, I'm so proud of myself that I can still listen your voice clearly.
Hi Kara, I worked for a non-profit agency for 23 years. And, the executive director always put me down and oppressed me. I didn't know what to do because she was the ED. When she said negative things to me I just ignored her. Now, I'm out of there and I learned to forgive her slowly. Thanks for your valuable information.
Hey Kara, I am from 🇮🇳 . I Must have done a good karma in my life to find your youtube channel, Your content's are really influencing my life in a big way. thank you 🙏🙏
This totally made sense to me. If I can sing in a band and we rehearse to be better, why would I not do this in business? Crazy simple, but until you said it, I never made the connection.
I am new at work, but I feel little bit nervous and unconfident. I wish I have watched this video before performance my Morgenkries yesterday in Germany. You are one of the best adviser I have had. I will use this video to improve my confidence and interlegent. I thank you!
Thank you for this video. I'm always experienced this when I talked to someone specially my boss. But bcoz I watched your video. I am so impressed and learned. Thanks for sharing.🇵🇭
Brilliant, thank you. I DO need to have a conversation like this. This was helpful. Again, thank you. Key: set a date. Don’t put it off. Be prepared. Practice.
Hi Kara - I wanted to thank you for making this video and sharing this information. This is precisely what I need at this moment. I recently faced a challenging experience at work with an undermining boss. I felt that I was not valued or appreciated in my organization. I am slowly recovering from that situation. Your words about thinking I am capable and worthy have impacted me tremendously. I will be watching the video about becoming more acertive. Thank you, and God bless you.
I am so happy this video and the concept of thinking you're capable has helped you. It's important to remember this because others may not always recognise your value (for their own reasons). But you need to so you can keep progressing. Thank you for watching Diana!
Hello mam ya you are saying true I need a lot of practice but continue to speak without halt is so easy because it depends on my presence of mind .....how aware we are with our surrounding for example if someone says to me to speak on snow fall as winter season is on so snow fall is More in hilly areas but in planes there rate of falling is less as compared to hilly area ...And two things arises peninsular rivers filled with water whereas some other river has no effect of it because there are filled thought out the year with water much water can cause a situation of flood Or many stream can be start to flow from mountain because rivers originate from stream ..And stream is cause of breaking rock when flow of water is so high Or strong .....And One More thing when speak your focus is so strong you don't distract for a moment And other two thing are also good which I found Or see in you for example a little smile with speaking make a good impression on opposite Person so Chain method is the best way to improve this language because in that method each One get a proper chance to speak fluently ....🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Dear Kara, I have recently started listening to your videos, they are very effective and informative Thankyou. However, In my work place the things come up very uncertainly. My Ceo is quite a talkative person who do not let me speak, or sometime I am talking but he would be on phone or stated to talk to other people that is too confusing. Often this happens that he misses the good part of my discussion. Suggest please.
I'm glad you like my videos! I have another video that might help you out with your situation ua-cam.com/video/NYZQqznROCw/v-deo.html It's about how to stop people interrupting you. Other than tips I share in that video, I'd recommend being persistent and repeating your key message to your CEO.
Getting nervous is common for many people. I think the tips in this video will definitely help you out. I also have another video on public speaking that will help you ua-cam.com/video/Ew2QMDoQyA0/v-deo.html
How do you appear collaborative without using passive comment giveaways? For people who are confident and assertive (e.g. me), who have been told to use more passive language to show openness to others input, how would you advise us?
