When Postal 3 was in development, the Running With Scissors office was broken into and one thing that was stolen was an Xbox 360 devkit. While it’s unlikely to be the same machine, it is fun to speculate on.
Nick_senator clarified that the person he bought it from was apparently an accountant for Akella and she'd said that in the final days people were just grabbing whatever from the office so she grabbed the devkit. This was also all in russia so I doubt its the RWS devkit.
Fun fact: The bathroom and the room with the window in Pornworld are still in the final game but the doors you would use to access them are locked and can only be unlocked by decompiling and editing the map in Hammer.
4:00 Note: there is actually a toilet in the final version, it's just covered with the developer's "player clip" texture And the door itself is also closed.
several notes: the cloth map likely doesn't show anything because its for testing physx cloth physics and 99% of people have it disabled nowadays. Its also highly recommended to not use fast compile settings in Hammer as that can create funky errors. The bathroom and storage room actually do exist in final PW but the bathroom is closed off and the storage room is only unlocked through a specific interaction. The "several NPCs that appear next to the highway" aren't meant to appear there. Those are the template NPCs that the spawners use to place NPCs in the map but without the mission script activating them they never place the NPCs in the map.
good to know. I bad a feeling at one point that cloth wasn't showing due to PhysX, but by the time I realized that the video was finished, rendered, and available to members. You live, you learn I guess

The lighting in mexico isn't meant to be dark theres just a problem with Mexico in general where when you compile the map it incorrectly does the light calculations. it does this with the retail Mexico maps all the time too after decompiling them. I had to recompile roam_mexico like 20 times when I was recreating the detail.vbsp file
Something that went a bit more unseen its thag Hub2 redesign that had interiors actually has a remain of another lost map variant of Hub1 that had a apartment condo and a big church, you can still see both from the distance.

that's understandable. I try to speak clearly but my accent is what it is, for that reason I manually make captions for all my videos, so that even people who have trouble understanding me can enjoy them
Postal 3 is like modern day blizzard. The art is great - but that's about it; the characters are too cartoony though. I know they had problem making it open world; but my main gripe with it is that postal 2 is a hub based home invasion game. Anything else is just fan fiction; which postal 3 ended up being. should have been a fps too.
According to interviews, there were a lot of performance issues and just no time to do it. The 360 port was dropped about 6 months before release which is also around the time D team came on with the intention of "just make it releasable"
In addition, the PS3 version probably never started development due to the 360 version being shelved 6 months before release. Not to mention that the Orange Box branch of the Source engine had performance issues on PS3 during that time.
