How To Make An RLCraft Villager Farm!

- In this video I show you how to make a villager farm for Minecraft 1.12.2 that works well for RLCraft! I explain the farm and show you step by step how to make the farm for your own world! The farm works 100% in survival, and I hope you enjoy the video!
Reference: Frilioth / @frilioth
I used his quapod villager farm design, as I deemed it compact, simple, and safe enough for RLCraft.

for anyone struggling with the "baby villagers suffocating in water" issue; the bug seems to be due to the pathing ai getting the villagers stuck inside of each other, leaving enough space in the water for the little ones to drown when the parent's hitbox should be pushing them out.
A quick fix I found was to remove the water source from whichever pod was having the issue and waiting around a few seconds for them to start wandering- it was enough to unstick them from each other, and should have them back to breeding as soon as you put the water back in
hope this helps ^^
I have tried about 10 villager breeder designs, and this is the first one that worked. Thanks!
You dropped this king 👑
Excellent video idea my friend. There are lots of similar videos but this one has both your personality and RLCraft expertise.
This is really helpful. I never knew how to do this, so I was wondering. Thanks.
Thank you so much for making this, I recently made the single pod breeder and it just takes forever to get 1 villager baby to pop out. I'll definitely give this one a shot 😁
I LOVE the "now" counter XD
GREAT vid! :D
for anyone's wondering, this still works.
Did you make any modifications to it? I tried doing it and it doesn't work.
@@thefruityking6722 It still does work and I havent made modifications to it, I think you’re just not in the right biome :] or either u havent pressed the piston to raise the villager up so it can activate so in 10-30 seconds later
@@aimester2682 I'm in the Meadow biome, does that work? Also I did the piston.
@@thefruityking6722 uh I think you should only build it on vanilla biomes such as plains
@@aimester2682 Ok so I put it in the Plains biome. I put a lot of doors around the middle of the build as well as on top and it seems to do the trick. The Aegis spawns and the village bell sound is playing. I gave one couple a stack of carrots and there is no breeding. Does it take a while?
This came out earlier than expected

great content! I watch all of ur vids :D
Ur tutorials are awesome, I consider myself as a pro RLCraft Player cus of ur great videos!
Omg!!! I was looking for a vieo like that!! TY!!
I always start with your videos when something confuses me. They're all very informative and entertaining.
This is so helpful! :D
OH MY GOD THANK YOU THE TIMING COULDNT HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT!!
I was trying to find a good tutorial on how to make a villager farm in RLcraft for AGES but nothing helpful came up :,)
I am glad I could help gamer
Epic gamer.
I give u a Chief kiss for this tutorial. Now.... I need to know the cheapest auto farm for food in rlcraft.
Chickens op
This is wonderful
Its quite annoying having to hunt for villagers all the time and rerolling there trades
This will do wonders
Finally i needed this
Pog was needing this
Big thank - Wyrms were not giving me anything good so I needed a good reliable source of Enchants.
Great build and I appreciate the vid. Some of the baby villagers suffocate I'm the block they are suppose to drop from how do I fix this?
got the bell sound but the villagers do not breed... and yes i've fed them
Will do this one as backup.
In my world I use the other design where you don't need to give them food.
Yeah, with the villagers making their own food, it is more convinient, but this one works a bit faster from my testing. But, they're both good, it is nice to have backup farms for sure! I am happy to have helped
@@CasualtyYT it also has its issues (mobs spawning from crops XD). This design is faster for sure and easier to manage after done so thanks :).
Also thanks for the other tutorials, they have been helpful!
hey casualty i made this farm and its working but the baby villagers are not falling on the water and they are suffocating in the block where the villagers are....any way to prevent this?
did u find a fix?
i dropped some carrots stacks to the villagers, they had tons of bed and they didnt reproduce like in regular mc. is it cuz of the village effect that it needs to be recon as one by the game?
i LOVW YOUR VIDEOS
I love when aegis spawn and end up taking a ride in the minecarts. Lol
I predict this video gets a big uptick in views now that 2.9 is out.
Thanks
those it still work?
and great video btw
so helpful
can i only feed them 2 stack of carrot per hole every 5-10 minutes?
my villagers show hearts for more than an hour but they wont make new babies... i threw them a lot of food. My other villagers are pretty close and are breeding.. Could it be because of that?
For anyone having issues to register the farm as a village. The lightsource at the doors has to be a block (cannot be a torch) atleast it didn't work as a torch for me. Hope this helps incase you have the same problem I had!
yes obviously you use glowstone dude not a torch on a piston wtf?
@@samusaran13372 the lightsource at the doors is not placed ontop of a pistone tho?
@@allyme4117 it is.
@@samusaran13372 the block right above where the villager is which is the same as the doors are on is the stone + no?

Does it wotk? i can't see any heart showing up. will w8 few more minutes but dunno if it works.
When you have built your farm on a banshee spot...
Bro i built my base in the middle of the ocean but due to mobs cobwebs were on my roof
Brooooo i was wonderind how my villagers were dying till i say a banshee kill 1
I was soo upset
So now i start clearing cobwebs
Btw a base in the ocean is a terrible place to be during a blood moon
@@darthweebious4604 xd good luck !
Bro u have my forever gratitude
It worked for awhile but then they started to spawn in the water and drown any solutions???
strangely, my villagers just won't breed. the structure is recognized as a village (judging by all the aegis spawning) but i drop them a lot of food, and no love hearts appear.
same problem
Yeah, same. At first it worked, but then stopped working.
this is gonna be grreaaaat
I made the design and it was working fine made good amount of villagers and made sure to separate them far from farm but now i give them food and they're not wanting to make babys anymore gave carrots, potatoes, and bread but it just stop working anymore idk what to do?
Yeah, that has happened to me before, I wish I understood what causes it. I originally thought villagers had a cd to the number of times they can be bred, but when the farm is in full swing it doesn't seem like they would have a cd. You can try relogging or breaking the core of the farm and replacing it, but I also couldn't find a way to fix the farm without breaking it, waiting like a day or two, then fixing it
1. If i build it within the bounding box of a naturally generated village structure(that has no villagers because they got killed by banshees) are the villagers still goind to make babies?
2. Is there a way to efficiently farm any food items automatically to breed the villagers with?
Yeah, if you bring villagers to a village it should work and they will breed. I am not an expert with redstone and automatic stuff; however, it seems like it would be very easy to automatically feed the villagers, yeah. You would just need to make a standard automatic like potato or carrot farm with a farmer villager in the automatic farm to continue to replant them. The excess crops would fall into droppers to be sorted and dropped into the farm. I am sure there are tutorials for making automatic farms and sorting systems. Pewdiepie managed to make one for example, and I don't consider him an extreme expert, so I am sure he used a guide. I hope you can find a good guide by a redstone UA-camr! I myself am not the best with redstone and/or automatic systems.
I have got a question. I was at a point where I was searching for op Liberians. When i found one i got my Roc and took them and put them near my base. I build a save spot (monsterfree and locked up) and build some nice little tradingstations. After a while they disappeared. Can someone explain that to me?
Do they despawn after a while?
They may have been killed by banshees. Banshees will rarely spawn anywhere within like 30 blocks or so where cobwebs can be found. There could potentially be a cobweb in a cave underground or in your village (if you are in one). Rare mobs will also spawn cobwebs, so maybe there is one around that you hve not gotten around to breaking yet. If none of that is the case, perhaps a mob spawned. Check your light levels to make sure the light level is 8 or higher, or else mobs may spawn. Or perhaps a small mob got into your safe spot, such as a wraamon, or perhaps your villager somehow wandered away. Without more information I am not sure of the most plausible thing that happened, but it was probably one of the above things. I am sorry to hear that happen. It has happened to me a handful of times as well. It is hard to be as careful as possible sometimes
Hello idk if this is a stupid question but after making this I noticed my villagers aren’t picking up my food :( do you know why that might be? (I think I managed to make the village since a bunch of aegis spawned around)
The villagers inventory's may be full, either with food or misc items, they may pick up wheat and other stuff, but either way they can only hold so many stacks of food. If they are not picking up food, than they should be fine and each villager will make a baby once every 5-10 mins or so on average, sometimes a bit less or more, but I hope that your problem isn't like a hard bug. Good luck
@@CasualtyYT o
Thank you so much! I switched biomes and suddenly it started working! Should have listened to what you said at the start of the video haha
im having an issue where the villagers make love hearts but no baby appears, not even one that dies in the water, anyone have this and know a solution?
Why are my baby villagers suffocating as soon as they spawn? I followed the video exactly
why the down villagers are trying to make bebe with the breeder xd and why the villagers have just the hearts around them and they are not making bebe
i tried doing this but villagers aren;t breeding i alraedy gave them a ton of carrots and potatos is it because they emit lack particles when i pick them up with my mount?
it shouldn't cause any problems! There are a lot of variables that could be occuring for you, but without more information I can only take a guess at some of the major potential issues! The villagers may not be breeding because you're giving them two different types of food! You need to make sure it is only 1 type of food they get, or they can get finicky because of how their inventory slots work! Also, if the village created is not valid, they will not breed! Make sure your farm is in a good standard minecraft biome, is above ground, and that you can hear a village bell sound occassionally from your created village! Being too close to an actual village could cause problems to I can imagine! If none of these things are up, perhaps there is some lag in your world that decreases tick speeds, but I truly do not know what could be the concrete reason, but if everything is set up correctly there shouldn't be any issues
when they breed, the baby villagers aren't leaving the block of water in mine
THE BABYS DON'T MOVE
Does this still work as of 2.9.1c?
Interesting
Any clue why my villagers aren't breeding? Copied your build block for block and they don't make hearts. Tried to build it twice in creative mode and once in survival and none of em produce villagers. Love your vids though thanks for putting them out
Villagers are weird. Make sure to keep giving them food, they will need A LOT of food sadly. After all that is setup correctly tho, hearts should appear within the first 5 minutes, usually around the 2 minute mark or a bit sooner
@@CasualtyYT Yea turns out I had to chuck on a couple more doors. Thanks for the quick reply.
Yeah but ehen villager spawn they escaped i tried putting the cactus after the cart break they escape
Hey @cas can you make a tutorial about installing the hardcore config by shivaxi
" How to install Rlcraft hardcore config by shivaxi "
Go to the curseforge rlcraft website: www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/rlcraft
and then click the "files" tab at the top of the page to the right of the description tab. Scroll down to the rlcraft hardcore config download button. It should be the third option under the rlcraft server pack download. Now when you download the files, you will copy them (extract them) all into your rlcraft folder and when the option comes up to overwrite files, choose to overwrite all the files. Now when you load up your rlcraft, it will be the hardcore config (I typed this out because I most likely will not do a video on it anytime soon). I hope this helps!
My baby villagers don't fall into the water, they just suffocate and die. Anyone know why???
Can u make this underground ?
Is this working on 2.9? I'm lazy but was going to try a basic 1.12 farm too
yes
Does this work on 2.9.2?
My villagers can’t eat the food cuz of the glass piston down so they’d stop jumping. Pls help.
I follow exactly but it’s not working
If you pushed two glass blocks into each hole, you should be able to break the top block so their head is just barely poking thru.
where ru casualty, somenutsguy its doing all the videos, we need u brah, u ok? couldnt find a way to pm u :/
this tutorial has more "now"s then villagers coming out of it

Can you stack these? Multiple breeder in one area
Yeah, you can. It would get pretty laggy though
@@CasualtyYT Awesome! Do you know by chance how far it has to be from one another?
What if the farm is in a villige ?

이버전에서도 주민농장을 만들 이유가 있나요?
Sometimes my baby villagers drown in the water block where they spawn in. Is there a fix for this?
I had that problem sometimes as well. Usually they move out fine for me at least. If not I ended up just nudging them out manually, which kind of defeats the purpose of an automatic farm, but it works
I see hearts from villagers but i never see any babies spawn.. Is it a mechanic i don't understand?
The babies come after the hearts pop up a handful of times. In other words, the babies don't appear immediately, but instead after a little while after the hearts start. If the villagers run out of food as well, the baby will not appear, so make sure they have plenty of food. A few stacks of food each should be fine for a good while
friend, I got a child quick but it is not dropping, it is keeping with his parents.
Do you know what it can be?
Thank you.
I am not sure, usually it just falls out, I would wait a bit and it should fall down naturally
does this need to be made in spawn chunks?
No, it can be made anywhere where a village could have formed naturally, so not in like frozen biomes, swamps, jungles, etc. I haven't actually tested it in those biomes, but I assume you can only make a village, where a village could normally spawn
for anyone wondering this works in 2.9.3
The farm didnt work for me in 2.9. Any Idea how to fix it? I tried it in creative as well but it didn't work
Your farm can only be built in an area where a village could naturally spawn, and it is a little finicky with everything being completely accurate. I hope that you can get it to work gamer! It does indeed work in 2.9
@@CasualtyYT So i built it underneath a village, does that work? like i dug a space which fit (about 15 blocks tall)
put a roof over your doors, worked for me.
@@MrMrHougland like solid blocks or specific blocks like wooden stairs?
@@steingaming3302 no just anything solid, I used stone bricks in the same plus sign that the doors are placed on just in top of the doors
Yoooo
Do I have to be near the farm for it to work?
The chunk needs to be loaded
@@CasualtyYT Thanks, you are a legend for responding after months.
XP farm next bet
the babies always drown for some reason
I dont think this works in 2.9 sadly
Is this compatible with 2.9
yes
my villagers won't breed
can you put mutiple together
You can, as long as you have a functioning village (you can either make the village or use an existing one etc)
Anyone else have this work but the babies that spawn do not drop and instead suffocate?
They can only suffocate if the chunks are too crowded or if the water is too deep they will drown. I am unsure why yours are suffocating if that is not the case. I hope the problem does not persist
@@CasualtyYT Thanks for the reply! I have messed with it a little more and replacing the glass panes with signs seems to allow the babies to pass through much easier. I left myself afk for a couple hours to watch it work... since coming back now though they will no longer reproduce even after feeding them more. Gotta love the bugs
If I breed 2 librarians are they gonna make a baby librarian or is it just rng?
rng
Why does the farm have to be outside
Just because sometimes the village won't register when you are underground, but if you don't build it too deep it will pretty much always be fine, it only didn't work for me once. Since it didn't work for me once though, I had to include that "always build it on the surface" but in truth you can usually build it underground without much issue
aren't they nitwits not misfits?
Yeah, Casualty is pepega
Oh, yeah I think you are right
@@duckonquack111 yes
It is work on 2.9.1

I hear the bell sound but no hearts nor babies D:
make sure the villagers have plenty of food, and if they do, it should only take a few minutes per baby or so
Hello and thanks for your answer !
Well, i dropped stacks and stacks of food in creative to them, I tried many types (carrots, potatos, bread) nothing worked.
Funny enough, the librarians i placed underground to reset them (let a zombie eat them, then cure, repeat) started to breed for no reason and without any food so I was very confused. xD
@@isesan4591 xD they probably still have some food in their inventory, when you give villagers food, they keep the food forever until traded for mating, and villagers also randomly give food to other villagers for this same reason, so that may have contributed! I wonder why your villagers weren't breeding normally though, I hope it doesn't continue being a problem for you
@@CasualtyYT Oh okay, I thought I had to flood them with food, should I just give them one stack or two ?
@@isesan4591 I would say as many stacks as possible, so two would be better than one!

this work in 2.9?
Yes it should
@@CasualtyYT currently i have gotten no villagers but maybe that is because my villagers are close to a actual village? would being to close to a actual village stop them for spawning villagers or maybe i am to far away
