As a hairstylist, this is upsetting to hear. It is awful that your day was ruined by the unprofessionalism. I must say, I would've fired her after the bridal shower feedback. All the non-communication would've had me too upset and I would've just found someone local and/or done my own hair. I cringed everytime you had to reach out to her again. I can't believe she changed her travel arrangements! Wow... just wow!
Just another prime example of why I’m making it mandatory that my hair stylist and makeup artist will be sleeping in the same bed as me the night before my wedding 🫠🫠🫠
She’s not serious about her business and the fact that you keep reaching out to her when she was supposed to do a follow up with you is wild🤦🏾♀️ so sorry you have to go through this 🥺
It may be harsh, but I'd have cancelled as soon as she came with the death of a loved one, yet still wanted to get paid. Either she's telling the truth and would be distracted in the way Isi tried to give her leniency for. Which, for such a big only-planning-to-do-this-once occasion...I'm sorry, but no. I will keep you in mind for something with lower stakes or when you aren't going through it. Or she was lying because she knows loss makes people stop asking questions and be more lenient. Regardless of either, as the client, I don't need an excuse/reason. I just need to know how you're planning to handle our business. This was mixing business with personal from the jump.
@@Iwasonceanonionwithnolayers yeah my first thought when she said she had a loss in the family was that she wasn’t gonna be in the right state of mind mentally to be putting her best foot forward for someone’s wedding so I wouldn’t feel right allowing her to still go through with doing it.
JUST her not responding ALONE ticks me off and would have been enough for me to send 1 final text like: “okay well since your clearly not reliable with communication I will have to cancel your flight and find another stylist, thanks”. But even still you looked gorgeous and clearly you’re one of the few good souls in this world to have given this slob so much grace💕🙏🏾
For such an important event in your life, you should NEVER book with somebody that you haven’t worked with before bc of incidents like these. It’s also best to always have a backup plan. As soon as the girl stopped responding the first time, I would’ve started looking for somebody new just in case.
Girl yes the first time! Isi so nice yo it’s beautiful but she’s right in saying she gotta speak up more especially for such a special occasion. Honestly I would’ve been so petty and not gave her a dime 😩
To be honest, I feel like this is an example of being too nice to the detriment of yourself. You should've sacked her so many times before your wedding day Isi. You gave her so many chances until she ruined your wedding. It's ok to not be nice all the time if someone is not respecting you. You should've never had her at your wedding. I'm sorry you went through that, you're a beautiful soul, hopefully you stop being so nice to people who don't deserve your kindness.
I agree, ppl will really take your kindness for weakness if you allow it. & If Isi would have canceled she still would've tried to get over with the non refundable deposit smh
@@SincerelyKAJ FACTS! when she delays communications more than 24 hours, I go with another options. I dont need to stress out to be accomodating to people who supposed to be the one accomodating and professional on this type of booking event
The anxiety building up in me watching this whole ghetto operation unfold ….it’s too much 😩 I am a licensed hair stylist and I just want to apologize on behalf of the other 15.2% of stylists that remain professional and genuinely care about the health and happiness of our clients concerning their hair. This is so embarrassing and it wasn’t even me. Being your own boss has taken a crazy turn. You looked absolutely stunning Isi, congratulations to you and your hubby for this new journey you’re embarking on. Im just glad your edges and nape will still be along for the ride 🥹💕
girl i’m so glad your wedding planner was there and was able to essentially “curse” her out. cause there’s no way, i’m truly so sorry that this happened to you, especially on your wedding day! unforgivable in my eyes, either expose her or take her to court imo🤷🏾♀️
Girl you live in a hair capital now. You didn’t have to fly anybody out!!! On top of that, you could’ve found a dope stylist that morning when you saw that text and had her a** looking stupid when she walked in. Just a lesson that people need to have contracts for all things wedding related. Vendors take advantage of anything labeled “wedding” to raise prices, so raise your standards and only pay when satisfied!! Black or not ✊🏽
I made myself a dress, shirt and pants with allllllllll the slack you cut her 😮 You were beyonnnnddd understanding. Ouuufff!!! Your patience deserves an award!! 👏🏼💕
As a black hairstylist this was so unprofessional . I genuinely feel for you. I don’t know how you kept your calm throughout all of this. People like her make it so hard for us stylists who actually CARE and provide good service to our clients. It makes it so much harder for clients to trust a new stylist because of this behavior & their experiences. People who are just in it for a quick buck and have no care or consideration for people need to just leave this profession alone
The amount of times I said “Oh hell nah” throughout this video. I am so sorry you had this experience Isi. You didn’t deserve that & the unprofessionalism is mind blowing! I completely understand about the lost of the family member if said was even true however there’s no way I’m not communicating with a client like that in general but especially when deposits & expenses were paid, AND it’s something as significant as a wedding. That was so not cool. Unfortunately there’s way too many stories with bad hairstylist & “professionals” in the beauty industry in general.
I’m sorry you had a bad experience. As a cosmetology student I will have to agree. This is the exact opposite behavior I want to pride myself on. The customer service out here is trash in the black hair industry 😩
Same! This is why I’m about to start cosmetology school, so I can cater to giving black women a luxury salon experience where they feel safe and confident 🙏🏾
Your going to generalize the black hair industry as having bad customer service?! There are so many good companies out there. People are going to start lashing on to this. This is how we create our own stereotypes and tear ourselves down.
@@celinasjourney yep as a black woman that has been my experience. Talent is not lacking but timeliness and professionalism is. These new stylist require deposits but aren’t on time or even know how to wash a head. Nor do they care about the integrity of the hair underneath.
@@celinasjourney No, What she said is completely true. Too many BW have vocalizex the unprofessionalism, tardiness, low balls offers, hate, etc with blk businesses/beauty industry. Not everything is about tearing each other down, but stating constructive criticism while wishing the best/improvement for your community.
This is nuts, you should definitely give up her info to save the next bride. Just imagine her doing this to someone else and ruining one of the most important days of their lives. Edit: I’m so sad seeing how emotional this made you 😢. It’s really not fair that this happened to you. You did still make a beautiful bride. ❤
Really crazy how ONE person... I mean ONE person... can knock a train almost clean off its wheels 😃You wanted what most brides can't get-- a relaxed, romantic, fully involved wedding day, but this ONE thing very much was a definite no-no. But yet still, you had God, you had strength, you had your dad, and you had Josh. You have elegance and sincerity. You are a gift. Kinda crazy coming from a stranger, but I'm happy you exist and that you have a flourishingly beautiful life . 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️ Best wishes
Your wedding planner is the GOAT. She helped you handle this situation in the best way possible. I was literally crying 😢 when you said that you didn't take your eyes off Josh because you are each others home. The gravity of that statement is what I desire in a partner. The pure simplicity of those words takes my breath away. God bless you and Josh union forever.
If we gone be honest, the experience was traumatic. Meaning, it’s gonna work you up every time you think of it for a very hot minute. I’m so sorry this happened.
Isi , this made me literally shed a tear because I was keeping up with the journey on Instagram. I think she should be named because she’s damaging peoples hair and very unprofessional I CRINGED at the late texts, but I understand why you didn’t . I’m sorry this happened ❤
I wouldn’t have paid her another thing and let her sue me and do a counterclaim for emotional distress… if someone don’t take action, she’s gonna continue to do what she’s doing smh
I actually cried at the end when you were talking about God, your dad, and Josh getting you through this. It’s beautiful. Through everything you relied on your support system to get you through. I felt the emotion. That lady is so trifling. I’ve had experiences like this. That’s why I do my hair myself.
Ugh this whole video raised my damn blood pressure. There is definitely a huge problem with black hairstylists being trifling af. So sorry that was your experience girl.
It just kept getting worse and worse.. she should be named so she doesn’t do this to anyone else in my opinion.. you are such a great person for not outing her and still giving her a chance to respond . I would’ve canceled as soon as she kept on not answering
PLEASE ISIIIII post her! because wtf babe you didn't experience your wedding the way you intended because of this horrible person. This is most definitely not the first time she's done something like that, that's clear as day to by her lack of communication and accountability... I get that not everything goes as plan BUT nothing was smooth or stress free in your entire experience with this individual. Isi I'm so sorry.. I really wish you could've experienced those moments with your husband, mom and friends (prewedding) but God is good and trust she will be dealt with. ❤❤ (can y'all tell how pissed I am while reading this because I'm damn near ready to throw hands)😠
I am so sorry this happened to you. I am also EXTREMELY frustrated that the hair industry has come to this. Smh. I’ve been a stylist for over 15 year with numerous weddings under my belt. I take all my appointments seriously, but my brides??… I 👏🏾don’t 👏🏾play👏🏾about 👏🏾!!! I hate that these “new age” stylists make all these provisions to create professional clients while being unprofessional “professionals”. My heart goes out to you my love❤
My jaw literally dropped multiple times during this. I applauded you for still trying to be as positive as possible mentally during your day. What really breaks my heart for you is that you literally planned peaceful moments for you and josh to really enjoy during your day and she took that from you. Shame on her fr
She was so unprofessional. That no response would’ve had her out of a big opportunity, seriously, God bless you isi. You were patient and when you do good, there’s a grace that follows you. Hope all of this good energy comes back to you soon!
First of all I wanna say congratulations to you and your new husband 🎉🎉🎉.Ive been watching you since middle school so its soo exciting to see you guys taking big steps together.Secondly Im sorry you had a terrible hair experience I’m surprised she even got paid after all that nonsense and im glad your wedding still turned out amazing ,wish you guys the best and lastly I love watching your videos ❤❤
It’s funny when it benefited the hairstylist she knew how to communicate she knew how to send you messages. She fortunate you paid her anything more importantly because she put glue in your hair when you stressed not to use it. She’s a stylist who told you how healthy your hair is knows glue can be damaging. Sorry you went thru that and love your planner she’s a beast
Sis…I think I would’ve drawn the line at giving her anymore of my money. Absolutely not…I would’ve been like take me to court. The money you lost on her flight. And how she pushed back your wedding and you lost out of experience and memories with your family and friends.Just heartbreaking ( you hear that pain in your voice). Sorry you had such traumatic experience on your wedding day. You tried to give this young lady grace because she supposedly had a death in her family. But I wish she would’ve extended grace and respect to you on your special day. All of sudden her communication got heightened when she to paid for her services…the audacity of her.
I said exactly this, she would have had to take me to court and when I was done she would be paying me for all the money I lost due to her selfishness on my wedding day.
I’m sooo sorry that happened to you! You gave her wayyyyy to much grace!!!! I don’t play about red flags 🚩 My wedding was September 24th and I had a hairstylist who was the exact same in responding way too slow for me and short responses. The week of the wedding I went in a shop nearby and found somebody else and she was amazing!!! We always have to pay attention to the red flags! Ps. You all looked beautiful! ❤ Thanks for sharing this story time because it’s a message to not work with people who show you how they act the first time!
She didn't deserve $450. The so-called hairstylist was TOO unprofessional: constantly replying days later, wasting your money, and had the NERVE to expect to be paid after wasting your time & money 😤. ( & it seems she prioritized the alleged BET Awards business she had going on over you & your wedding. Probably bit off more than she could chew, thus ended up doing a janky, rush job on your hairstyle(s). (Worse than me as a former procrastinating student doing assignments). ) Big S/o to your wedding planner because I would've handed the "hairstylist" her ass, too. She was wrong on so many levels.
I had to watch this video in parts because I was SUPER triggered. I am sorry that you had such a horrible hair experience, you handled the situation to the best of your ability.I am glad your wedding planner came through and handled the "stylist" professionally. She is lucky she got $450.00. Congratulations to you and Josh boo, you are glowing!!!
The “hey boo” text in your wedding day is CRAZYYY 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Edit: Coming back to say I am sooo sorry you experienced this Isi! These wig installers are tainting the artistry that is hair styling/being a hair stylist. It’s scary out here, protect your dollas
Almost in tears 😭😭 hearing this. The Audacity of some people. I feel like Social Media has gassed so many peoples heads up and they want the deposits and payments but not the professionalism. She missed a great opportunity. Thank you for how you handled this as a black business owner myself I'd NEVER treat a client like that. I have had this experience with all races but I hate that a fellow Sista treated another Sista like this.. Love you Isi and you handled this flawlessly. ❤️
When I saw ATL I said OOP.. this is just a case of a hairstylist prioritising clients she deems will bring her more publicity over being a PROFESSIONAL hairstylist all around. You were so patient throughout!
I was here for the drama, but man the emotion in her voice when she was saying all those thing she didn’t get to do. To want something, plan it and pay for it, then have it all go down the drain because someone decided to be just unbelievably unprofessional….and then on top of that it’s your wedding. This is just sad and I respect that she didn’t expose her by name but I don’t thing I would have had the strength for that….
Honestly I don't even know what to say. I CANNOT believe someone would do something like this. But props to you for overcoming such adversity!! Wishing you and Josh a loving and lifelong marriage 🤎🤎
WOW! ...WOW!...My heart was so saddened to hear of this absolutely hearbreaking experience; in so many aspects.😥💔. Listeniing to you sharing the whole experience with your viewers has to be like re-living it again. I genuinely want to thank you Isi for doing so. It just re-enforces the idea that so many have about supporting "cultural" businesses. In our hearts we really want to; but at what cost or loss? It's a sad reality....unfortunately. I'm so sorry that that time in your life was so "trialsome", but so glad that you gave it to God, and your day became 'special' after all. All the best to you and Josh.! Your hair is beautiful. 🙄 .......💖
That's why I'm pro-local when it comes to any kind of commitments. People are flaky as hell and having to put trust in someone out of state with something so important would never sit right with me. Another youtuber, Onlyonejess had a similar experience with someone who made her wedding dress.
Agree! I need LOCAL recommendation and I need to be able to walk up to you later with issues! Local only, I need to be able to drive to you. This was just awful for ISI.😢
What I got from this experience is you are such an empathetic and kind person. This situation was a mess, but you stayed so graceful and had a GORGEOUS wedding
I've been beauty gang since 8th grade I'm now a junior in college. You taught me how to do my hair freshman year. Showed me what Black love could look like. Motivated me to chase my dreams and secure the bag. Ive been though this whole life journey and rocked with you through every phase like you were my real big sus. I have so much love and respect for you Isi and even though ive never met you you've really been getting me through. I hope you get a chance to see this and realize that all of your hard work has made an impact in someone's life. I hope to keep rocking with you girl. Stay blessed.
This made me tear up 😢 because I truly empathize with you and I understand how overwhelmed and out of control you felt. I’m so glad you have Josh and god was able to prevail despite the devil trying to work overtime.
I don’t normally comment but I’m so sorry you went through this isi I’m literally about to shed a tear I can imagine how frustrating and emotional this experience was especially with the ghetto hair stylist situation
I am in agreement with you, Chara. For I do not usually comment but this one got to me also. We continue to Pray for one another without ceasing...bless xOx
I never comment on videos but after watching this video, I am compelled to do so. As a hairstylist specializing in natural hair (tight curls), my main reason for going into the industry was to provide it with the level of customer service and care that us Black women deserve. We work too damn hard and care too damn much for others to have the safe place of the salon to cause us undue and unnecessary stress. The level of unprofessionalism and down right disrespect was uncalled for and really give those of us who take our profession seriously a hard time. You would not believe some of the horror stories I’ve heard from new clients who’ve experienced trauma from the lack of care (general and haircare), professionalism and overall indecency from a “hairstylist” they were trusting to show up for them while they we just trying to celebrate themselves. I am so sorry that your day was ruined to the capacity that you did not get the wedding experience you envisioned. Now as a Virgo, I understand all to well giving others the benefit of the doubt. We Virgos do it all too often because I feel as though most of us are so empathetic with people in general and will always want to see the good or positive in them. We can no longer do this when they show us who they are! No more giving benefit of the doubt even if they come through at the end. Somewhere along the way, we never truly get the desired outcome and always end up stressed or anxious at the end of our ordeal with the person. I’m just speaking from my own personal experiences and have finally come to terms with not waiting for the red flags anymore; I move around when I see the yellow (caution) ones. Wishing you and Josh all the best and praying you never encounter another raggedy hairstylist or ghetto hair operation 😊
I’m tired of these scamming, unprofessional, ghetto new hairstylist. It’s crazy out here y’all! Take it from me don’t ignore the red flags. Don’t let everyone in your head! Long story short I had a similar experience and I had to walk out the door because all that happened wasn’t worth it. We need to start holding these people accountable
ISI, please set a precedent and expose this stylist because they and all the other unprofessional stylists NEED to know that this kind of behavior especially for the MONEY you spent is so unacceptable. For everything you paid, that should’ve been a luxury experience! I’m mad asf for you!
I get why she didn’t honestly. Our knee jerk reaction is to expose, but God will definitely handle it for her bc she definitely has the ability and right to air her out and with her platform it would definitely sting and yet Isi continues to respond with grace
I'm so sorry for your experience, and I'm glad you are speaking out. I've experienced this from the sidelines as a bridesmaid more times than one, unfortunately. I think there are a few lessons for future brides to be to take away from this story. 1. No response is a response, especially after financial transactions have been made. Run. 2. Contracts with if/ then clauses are essential. Not meeting agreed upon timelines is a red flag. 3. Always, always have a backup for hair and makeup. They are so essential to the daý and time is money and stress, especially on a wedding day. It's incredible the things that go left as the days get close and stress is high. Lastly, I can tell you were really hurt and disappointed, but I hope it gets erased by the beautiful memories you have had and all the new ones you will make with your husband. I wish you both many great blessings for the future! Thx for the video.
As clients we should also STOP sitting through stuff and acting like we agree with a service we fully know we won’t pay full price on at the end. I feel for you cause for a wedding day, I could never. But seeing the hair on your wedding and now watching this video, it makes sense. Whether black business or not, a service is a service and never allow yourself to sit through what your paying for (esp. where important memories are being made) to then explode about it all later. Her job with you is done and probably has her regular customers still supporting her whilst you are left venting on anonymous. I’m sorry girl, you still looked gorgeous . Never lower your standards for a BUSINESS!
This has taught me to draw up a contract with all of these people. If they don’t meet certain timelines then I am allowed to rescind the contract. What an absolute joke. I’m so sorry you went through this.
Girl, why are you protecting this hairstylist… I literally have no words I’m cussing this trick from London because there is NO WAY. NO WAYYYYY!! I cannot believe you even paid her, whewwwww. Let me take a breath and pray because Lord knows..
Girlllllll I would have literally broke all the way down! I get overwhelmed pretty easily bc I'm hypersensitive so I admire that you held it together and still had an amazing day. I'm so sorry that you had to experience that ghetto bullcrap. I have never heard of this kind of low down, unempathetic, unprofessional behavior!! You have to praise Him for the strength and grace you were able to have in the face of so many attacks. What matters in the end is that you got to marry the man God made for you with your loved ones present physically and spiritually. Congratulations on this huge accomplishment! Just remember you can make even better memories for your 20 yr vow renewal 😉♥️
You communicated perfectly with her. As a person with her masters in strategic communication there was absolutely nothing more you could’ve done except find someone else that was to your standards. I’m so sorry this was your experience smh
I’m usually a quiet subscriber but this experience was just too crazy! It’s so hard to know which businesses to go to bcuz so many people are scam artists out here. I wouldn’t be surprised if that girl was linked to your identity being stolen!! I hope you find a good, professional stylist for future events❤️❤️ Also….did the deposit not go towards the final price? Bcuz if not that’s really wild in its own right. Like you paid for this lady’s flight (that she didn’t take), the deposit, and she had the nerve to ask for full price. Theeee AUDACITY🙏🏾🙏🏾😮💨😮💨
Yeah it did go towards the final price. Because it was $1,200 and she made $200 deposit, that’s why the stylist was asking for $1,000. So Isi paid $650 for the wedding hair + the flight in the end
A part of me feel like she did that shit on purpose to ruin your day. She comes off bitter and jealous also selfish. I’m sorry you had to go through that with that women. I’m glad you and josh, are doing better now. (The only thing she’s worried about is money she doesn’t care about anything else besides money)
I have never seen a single video of yours I dont know how you popped up on my feed but it was destiny I love this and it’s time to binge all your videos❤
This is why you can’t be too nice & understanding cause she showed you she didn’t care about what you had going on. That’s a lesson learned, when people show you their true colors in the beginning believe them and move on. Sorry that happened to you love ❤️
I’m only 15 mins in Isi and I was not expecting this. So sorry this happened to you but that hair stylist was literally a red flag PRIOR to your wedding date! After the first time she didn’t respond back, my gut would’ve told me she wasn’t reliable at all because who wouldn’t be on top of their appointments ESPECIALLY an appointment where someone is booking you a flight/hotel.
I could feel how tired Isi was of explaining this situation. Am sorry you had to go through this on your wedding day. I thank God that at the end of the day you got married to your best friend and partner for life 🙌🏾 But the audacity of her charging you the full price and reducing it to $750 was extreme. I’d have ignored her just as she had ignored you when the entire time before your wedding…
This literally brought tears to my eyes. YOU. DID. NOT. DESERVE. THAT. At alllll!!! Especially on a once in a lifetime very special occasion. I definitely felt every emotion in this video! You are so amazing though!! Thank you for sharing this experience with us!
That is totally disgusting and so unprofessional! No one should have gone through this. I’m so sorry that was your experience. Congratulations on marrying your person. I’m happy for you and Josh
The second-hand disappointment and sadness I felt watching this… I’m sorry you went through this. I think you were extremely patient with her. Sometimes you gotta call and go “full Karen mode” on the phone when people act unprofessional . I’m glad eventually your wedding planner helped her understand just how bad she messed up. I hope she payed for that flight she didn’t take too cuz that’s crazy. I’m glad you did look amazing on the day of tho and it sounds like everything else went well on your wedding day. I probably would have cried angry tears down the aisle had I had I had been in your shoes and snapped at the stylist tbh. As Entrepreneur myself you learn quickly the power of bad review it can ruin a business. I just hope she learns and does better.
So sorry that you experienced that concerning your special wedding day. You had me crying and feeling emotional with you. You are ENTIRELY blessed to be married to your best friend in front of GOD, your parents, and all of your company. May I say, YOU LOOKED FIERCE, TOTALLY STUNNING!!...I happen to be a black stylist who is prompt and professional and urge you to continue to spend you dollars with BLACK people/companies as I always make it my business to do so, also, it's vital. You seem to be happy with the other BLACK businesses, please don't let that experience deter you. May your life and marriage be continually blessed...
I'm the type of person that when I plan something and it doesn't happen as planned, I lose it. So the fact you remained calm and respectful through all of this nonsense is astounding. God's grace really does reside within you.
So disrespectful. I can NOT be as calm and rational as you were. I would be livid and she would have been replaced immediately after the bridal shower ordeal. But you handled that and I’m glad you got it out and had good people around to help.
“This is your fault” it really is her fault! 🥺 To not have those pictures with mom and bridesmaids has me furious. I wonder if this stylist took on more than she is used too. 🥺😞 Your positivity is on another level. 🙏🏾✨🫶🏾
Seriously! She should almost be liable for the photography charge for the missed photos! Photographers are not cheap! I would have charged her per hour for her lateness.
As a photographer, I appreciate how intentional you were with wearing your natural hair on your honeymoon and bridal events leading up to that! I'm a black couple and family photographer and I'm constantly looking for inspo, especially when planning out photoshoots.
I recently had a similar experience with a lash tech, the lack of unprofessionalism and “get the bag” type attitude is too much for me. People gotta separate skill from customer service. WE deserve both, at the same TIME. I hate this happened to you, but im glad you shared your experience. Ugh the audacity
You were extremely patient with this woman and I don’t know if I would’ve been that understanding . So If I wasn’t getting a response for 3-5 days it would’ve been clipped . Nice message saying I’m sorry I think I’m going to find someone else
Yeah, the bridal shower experience should have encouraged you to find a new hairstylist for the wedding . Also out of curiosity, why was her flight scheduled for the day of the wedding ? With flight unpredictability and delays, it seems like it would have been better to fly her in the day before. Could have alleviated a lot of stress . But also I understand the cost of having to pay for a hotel and things .. . I’m sorry this happened to you Isi , but hopefully this was a learning experience for you. There are tons of great black hairstylists right there in Chicago ! Don’t count them all out!
I must say your inital message to her about your concerns was beyond commendable ! So sorry this happened to you. I had to pause this video several times cuz It was so stressful. God bless you and your strengths, patience, maturity, and compassion.
I’m soo sorry you had to endure that, but your strength definitely shined through with your identity being stolen and the hairstylist ghetto-ness(🙄). My heart literally breaks knowing you couldn’t enjoy those moment with Josh, your mother, and the bridesmaids prior to the wedding. I truly wish you the best and I’m so proud that you advocated for yourself!!🤎
Hearing you cry in this video makes me so emotional 🥺this day meant so much to you and I’m so sorry for how it played out but I’m also so happy at how beautiful everything turned out for you 🙏🏽 God’s (and your dad’s) presence is always with you and i love love love that for you 🤎congratulations honey! Such a huge fan of both of you and wishing you both an extremely pleasant and blessing filled marriage from here 🙌🏽
Shit, I would have spent 4-5 business days in between each text response when she started chasing you for the money via text right after the wedding. Must not feel great, hm?
The fact that it got worst each day is terrible smh. So sorry ISI! I’m thinking maybe you & Josh can take those Chicago pictures on your one year anniversary. Still not as perfect as the wedding day, but would be a nice memory to celebrate tying the knot in Chicago! ❤️
I absolutely refuse to deal with people with bad communication skills.. I cannot.. that's too stressful. Homegirl needs to take a class on professionalism because the red flags was flagging 🥴 I'm sorry you went through this Isimeme 😥

Or she was lying because she knows loss makes people stop asking questions and be more lenient.
Regardless of either, as the client, I don't need an excuse/reason. I just need to know how you're planning to handle our business.
This was mixing business with personal from the jump.
Seriously! I would have been done with this chick after the bridal shower glue fiasco!
right customer service is key.....
@@Iwasonceanonionwithnolayers yeah my first thought when she said she had a loss in the family was that she wasn’t gonna be in the right state of mind mentally to be putting her best foot forward for someone’s wedding so I wouldn’t feel right allowing her to still go through with doing it.

But even still you looked gorgeous and clearly you’re one of the few good souls in this world to have given this slob so much grace💕🙏🏾

The fact that you stayed respectful...I admire you Isi. You did not deserve that experience.
For such an important event in your life, you should NEVER book with somebody that you haven’t worked with before bc of incidents like these. It’s also best to always have a backup plan. As soon as the girl stopped responding the first time, I would’ve started looking for somebody new just in case.
THIS! Duces.... cause this shit is RIDICULOUS. I'm soooooo heated for Isi!!!!! 😤
Exactly! So sorry this happened to her but the hairstylist would’ve been fired after the bridal shower if this was me ✌🏽✌🏽
This!!! Like that is such an important event. I would never do that
Girl yes the first time! Isi so nice yo it’s beautiful but she’s right in saying she gotta speak up more especially for such a special occasion. Honestly I would’ve been so petty and not gave her a dime 😩
Minus the just in case. I would've just found someone new. Lack of response screams lack of interest!
💯💯💯
I absolutely agree
The moment she said "I'll let you know later" i would've asked to cancel and for a refund
Yeps same here 💯
Same I don’t play those type of games. Smh

Black or not ✊🏽
nahfr! Chicago has AMAZING talent.
I was thinking the same thing! Chicago has talent!
Right!!!!
I made myself a dress, shirt and pants with allllllllll the slack you cut her 😮 You were beyonnnnddd understanding. Ouuufff!!! Your patience deserves an award!! 👏🏼💕

The rest of being donated to a factory and will provide clothing for the north and South America for years to come. 😞
😭no lie
omg😭😭
Y’all are too much lmaoo 😭😭😭
The way she knew she put glue in your hair and STILL tried to charge full price smh
This is exactly why I started learning to do my own hair, nails, etc. The professionalism!!! and the fact the results aren't as expected.
The moment she stated directly to Isi,"Oh.. you must not wear wigs because your hair is healthy.." red flag to the 10th power.

Yea, after the bridal shower I would’ve found another stylist. You handled it with grace.
I believe if she’s mentioned her career would be ruin after this video. So Isi is protecting her as a female and a black business owner.
She should definitely put her on blast
Agree 💯
@@africeomal7648 she's going to do this to someone One else
Yes she should be named. Don't give her the opportunity to do this to someone else. It's not fair to you so don't let it happen to another.
Girl. I'm so glad you had your wedding planner.
Exactly, and so glad she didn’t pay full price for that shenanigans. The audacity of the stylist.
She would not have heard from me again. I paid for the wigs and everything but the shady install, we’re even.
This. Yes, she took time and peace.
She was so unprofessional. That no response would’ve had her out of a big opportunity, seriously, God bless you isi. You were patient and when you do good, there’s a grace that follows you. Hope all of this good energy comes back to you soon!
At this point I've come to the conclusion that we should all just learn to do our own hair , because no 😭💔 . I would've wept 💔
I just said this the other day. I do NOT trust hair stylists anymore!
Absolutely. I will 100% be doing my own hair for my wedding.

exactly I take pride doing my hair because I don’t want to pay for something that irritates me.
Whew, my anxiety is through the roof just hearing this. You are an angel for how you handled that, Isi. The audacity-
Sis…I think I would’ve drawn the line at giving her anymore of my money.
Yes get your money back you have receipts
Like fr! All of a sudden she communicated when she needed to get paid, but not when she needed to do the service? Goodbye
❤ Thanks for sharing this story time because it’s a message to not work with people who show you how they act the first time!
agreed! when initailly noticing her unresponsiveness, I would have moved on!
Too many red flags!,like the first one would’ve been it for me.
Dats what I think once we got Thur the day baby I’m done u lucky I don’t sue yo ass
Wow! Unbelievable! She doesn’t deserve for her identity to be protected!
The “hey boo” text in your wedding day is CRAZYYY 😵💫😵💫😵💫
Edit: Coming back to say I am sooo sorry you experienced this Isi! These wig installers are tainting the artistry that is hair styling/being a hair stylist. It’s scary out here, protect your dollas
I can’t believe her, she’s texting back when she wants the money but when you needed answers she took her time to reply
I think this person was jealous of your success and did this messy stuff on purpose. I'm so sorry, Isi.
Exactly she knew what the day was for this young woman. Jealousy is real so said.
I concur, the comment about her hair being healthy was def a 🚩🚩
I don’t think it was jealousy! I think she’s a straight up scammer! And really don’t know what she’s doing!!!!

WOW! ...WOW!...My heart was so saddened to hear of this absolutely hearbreaking experience; in so many aspects.😥💔.

That's why I'm pro-local when it comes to any kind of commitments. People are flaky as hell and having to put trust in someone out of state with something so important would never sit right with me. Another youtuber, Onlyonejess had a similar experience with someone who made her wedding dress.

I wish you tagged her ,so no one ever has to go through this horrific incident 💔💔
Girl sue her ass … all the receipts will prove she took advantage of you!
Or at least send her this video 😩
I get why she didn’t honestly. Our knee jerk reaction is to expose, but God will definitely handle it for her bc she definitely has the ability and right to air her out and with her platform it would definitely sting and yet Isi continues to respond with grace
She’s tagged on her Instagram no biggie
i think the hairstylists is " thedollsproject"
I was against exposing her until I got to the wedding day part. This woman literally threw everything off on the day of the wedding.
Girl, I have anxiety JUST HEARING THIS STORY!!!! This is so upsetting, I'm so glad your planner held her accountable RIGHT then and there!!!

I’m usually a quiet subscriber but this experience was just too crazy! It’s so hard to know which businesses to go to bcuz so many people are scam artists out here. I wouldn’t be surprised if that girl was linked to your identity being stolen!! I hope you find a good, professional stylist for future events❤️❤️
Also….did the deposit not go towards the final price? Bcuz if not that’s really wild in its own right. Like you paid for this lady’s flight (that she didn’t take), the deposit, and she had the nerve to ask for full price. Theeee AUDACITY🙏🏾🙏🏾😮💨😮💨
Yeah it did go towards the final price. Because it was $1,200 and she made $200 deposit, that’s why the stylist was asking for $1,000. So Isi paid $650 for the wedding hair + the flight in the end
You were spot on with this comment. She was the scammer. This was really hard to watch.

This gave ME anxiety! I am sooooo sorry this happened to you on your day. 🥺
I could feel how tired Isi was of explaining this situation. Am sorry you had to go through this on your wedding day. I thank God that at the end of the day you got married to your best friend and partner for life 🙌🏾
But the audacity of her charging you the full price and reducing it to $750 was extreme.
So like… who we gotta fight. Cause this was your special day and you’re such a beautiful person inside and out and you did NOT deserve that BS!
This would’ve been me!!!
Exactly! The roles reversed and she then, wanted to be consistent about her money that wasn’t even deserved!!
Right...now she knows how to respond and initiate a conversation. I would have ignored her pleas for payment for 2 weeks.
Right!
I was thinking the same thing when she said that. 😄
Sue her behind. I see these cases on the court shows all the time. But even if you don’t, she’ll get hers.
girl you need to expose her. I would hate for someone else to go through this bullshit also
not her suddenly being able to text back consistently and quickly when it was time for her payment I'm CRYING
I hope she sees this video and it encourages her to revisit how she runs her business. So sorry you had to experience this.
The fact that it got worst each day is terrible smh. So sorry ISI! I’m thinking maybe you & Josh can take those Chicago pictures on your one year anniversary. Still not as perfect as the wedding day, but would be a nice memory to celebrate tying the knot in Chicago! ❤️
I’ve been STARVING for ISIMEME WEDDING CONTENT!!😩💕💕
Ikrrrrrrr❤❤❤❤😊
I absolutely refuse to deal with people with bad communication skills.. I cannot.. that's too stressful. Homegirl needs to take a class on professionalism because the red flags was flagging 🥴 I'm sorry you went through this Isimeme 😥
The grace you have 😭😭😭✨ the effort and time it takes to plan an event oh wow
You are amazing ❤
You gave her too many chances. Definitely a lot of red flags.
