They taking the same styles, changing the names and charging more. Thats why I keep the same stylist because I refuse to give these unprofessional people my money.
I feel you on that. But I had a older generation hairstylist and she was just as unprofessional. I went to her because she does my mom's hair. My mom is use to spending all day in the shop and helping out because I guess they built a friendship. The couple times I went I booked her at her earliest which was 7am so I can atleast be out by 3pm. I was just getting a wash & press. But she (in my eyes) would over book, stick me under the dryer forever, add on services I didn't really ask for then charge me Xtra, ask me to fold her work towels while I'm in the chair, it was just too much. The last straw was when she went up from $75 for a wash and press to $125 for a "silk press" which was what I already was getting 🤷🏾♀️ I gave up now I'm out here looking for stylst on IG 🙄
Isi, you should definitely be more assertive when spending money. I understand because I hate confrontation but yes. SPEAK UP ladies. we deserve better.
I really feel like I have to recommend a hairstylist called Deeper Than Hair. You should watch her UA-cam videos because she mainly specializes in natural hair and the kind of energy and time that she puts into giving her clients the best of the best is phenomenal. Nobody has to go through what you went through with this hairstylist, you deserve better than this. For the next time you want to do your hair. She's currently situated in LA but she is sooo worth it
You don’t sound crazy. The WHOLE thing was unprofessional. She should’ve asked about the highlights. She shouldn’t have braided that tight. At this point, I bet she wasn’t even licensed. She was a kitchen beautician. 😂 But for future reference, remember as the customer who is paying, you have the power! Definitely be assertive. You don’t have to be rude at all, but just showing people you aren’t putting up with the mess 😀
I wouldn't pay no damn 600 for no wig and when she told me I had to pay 200 for highlight I wouldn't have not given her the money. And basic red flag is when a hairstylist refuses to work with hair that isn't from their store. Nah my blood is actually boiling 🤣🤣🤣
I’m sorry but the moment I hear the cost of something is wayyyyy too much I’m not getting it done. And if a stylish said they couldn’t do the look I was going for, I’m going to find someone else.
I look at it like this: If they from IG, sell hair or lashes, and the stylist is younger than 25- be very skeptical. If their bio is a long list of rules and regulations- its finna be some trash. Come pre-braided, with your hair style already done, bring your own chair, pay my deposit, buy my food, and don’t talk talk to me or there will be another fee.
💯 almost every negative story I’ve seen on UA-cam the stylist has almost always been from IG.....and that’s the one reason why I NEVER book with ANYONE from IG lol
I am a stylist. $200 is a realistic price for highlights. Products, gloss/toners, and time. Some of my highlighting services are more than that. Having your hair done is a luxury not a necessity. If you want to look like a celebrity, you have to spend the money. (This particular stylist was unprofessional, but the price isn't a problem at all.)
She charged way WAY more bc youre an influencer. It's the same type of thing they do when I go to Nigeria and they know I'm also Canadian. If I speak in an American accent/candian accent, they realize I'm a foreigner and all of a sudden up the price. So I have to speak in my native language or else they start doing bs.
@Wilmina Robinson I know, they're not!!! But when you look like a foreigner or you have white friends with you, they think you're stupid and you don't know anything. So they up the price to play you.
because it’s sunday it’s $50?? that quite literally makes no sense in any type of realm😭 imagine going to a restaurant and them saying your meal will cost extra because of the day💀
Lord Jesus, I hadn't even gotten to the pre-done highlights on the sew in. Girl. You tripping, I'm trying to understand why you went through with this😂. Horrible from start, poor thing.
I’m late but you remind me of myself- I avoid confrontation at all cost... and it’s literally COST me! Don’t be so hard on yourself about confronting people trust me it will come. At 28 I’m just now starting to feel comfortable speaking up. I don’t see it as a lack of confidence or “not being about to stand up for myself ” I was just raised differently. I try to see the good in all situations and people. Even now I still pick and choose my battles. Sometimes it’s not even worth your peace 🤗💕
I agree. I'm the same way. I have 10 years on you guys and I'm STILL uncomfortable with confrontation, but guess what? I do it anyway. It's not fun--and it's probably a good sign that it isn't fun--but being an adult often means doing things you'd rather not. At the end of the day, situations like these teach you how to behave in the future; so it's all good. You live and learn. ❤
Agreed. When I was 22, a hairstylist cut all my hair off and burned the hair that was left, and I STILL paid her! 🤦🏿♀️ I took the L that day for not causing a ruckus as I deserved to do, but my caring forgiving personality has helped me SO MUCH in life. People see it in me and overwhelmingly give me that same love back 10x harder. It’s those rare occasions, and, as you said, it’s not worth disturbing your peace. I’m a decade older now and don’t play that ish anymore. You grow and learn to balance when to go with the flow and when to fight for yourself. Much love!
People need to start showing proof of a license. A lot of these home-based hairstylists be charging too much, and are extremely opinionated. It’s very rude to tell a client that they can’t do a specific style bc you think it won’t look right on them. May 2021 bring people with more common sense.
Exactly, I remember I was getting a press / "silk press" and the stylst was about to trim my hair. I wanted a regular straight across even trim. She said that it would not look "right" but if it went down to a V shape it would look really nice and proceeded to cut it like she wanted 🙄 thankful my hair eventually evened out but just listen to the customer. If they don't end up liking it that's on them 🤷🏾♀️
Hair is an Art form (sorry Halfrican Beautie you found the WRONG artist). Now shorty seems like she needs to humble herself and go back to beauty school because they teach you to not braid tight when sewing, or crocheting. Practice her craft more, not for IG but to better her skill level. And leave the attitude home....opps she was home. Leave it in the bed then because your client didn't have to give you her business. NEVER HIGHLIGHT, LOWLIGHT, OR COLOR A DAMN THING WITHOUT YOUR CLIENT'S KNOWLEDGE, UNLESS THEY GIVE YOU CREATIVE CONTROL. AND WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU DO A FULL CONSULTATION!!!!!! ALL YOUR PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED FROM JUMP. My bad y'all. I just really love black natural hair!!!!
This is so sad; I got played too! One time I went to a quote-on-quote "all natural hair" salon. I got charged $68 ONLYYYY for a TRIM! The original price for a trim on the stylist's site was $30. When I came to the stylist, I ALREADY washed, conditioned, detangled, and sectioned my hair into twists. She said my twists were slightly damp. She claimed that my hair had to be blow dried in order for her to trim it. This added an additional cost! She then surcharged the price EVEN MORE because she said by using the comb attachment on the blow-dryer, and using a rat-tail-comb, it was technically a detangling treatment too! NOT TO MENTION, she had the AUDACITY to dry my hair on full heat W/O heat protectant. I had to offer her my own!
That’s not realistic being that hair cost a lot and time and skill ain’t something you give away for free. But that girl was feeling herself too much and definitely did the most. Not many people gonna put up with that crappy service
As a black hairstylist myself....that wasn't just unprofessionalism, that was a damn rip off! And to be honest black stylists and entrepreneurs like that make us look bad as a whole. She should've asked you a bunch of questions when it came to the highlights. whether you wanted blonde, chocolate or subtlety. Its bad enough you already spent the money for the hair THAT SHE WAS ALREADY POCKETING. She could've catered to your needs a little more ESPECIALLY spending that type of money. UNACCEPTABLE!
Exactly from her being late, the dry text, the dye not turning out right or being asked first, pushing the appointment back, Ect. It was a no for me I would have just taken the cancellation fee but I'm not giving a extra $490 for tight ass braids
This entire vent story sounds crazy...this girl would have never touched my head after the 1 word answers. Good energy get my coins! You got Catfished 😳
Yes there wigs be off, I have never been to school for that. But wow 😳 Ntm why didn’t she ask what color you want your highlights... no consultation she knew you were getting a photo shoot, no questions asked you what you were wearing I mean she says to be as professional enough to do hair on love and hip-hop all sounds suspect to me. Wish you would’ve had a better experience. I have to be really careful about these really tight braids for sew-ins. I have seen lots of videos where young ladies who have had really tight tight braids ended up losing ALL of there are I’m talking 👨🦲 bald.
I would have posted the same picture side by side and captioned it what I asked for vs what I got & @ the stylst. My commenters would get the vibe and dragged for me
My biggest problem with a lot of hairstylists is that I'm paying you my hard earned money and because you know I need my hair done you feel as though you can do as you please. And sometimes they have a sense of pride because they're good what they do, but when you show bad customer service you then lose a customer, and that customer will more than likely influence another potential customer. Price for me is also a factor.
Diane Prince just a little curious, how would she get sued? She got a service done for her and she has the right to say who did it, just because the service was bad I don’t think that means she doesn’t get to name the person who did her hair and it’s not like she signed anything that says she can’t name the stylist.
Wait why did you stick with her? 😭😭 Did she have good photos of her work? Cause this is too much 😭. You have to use her hair, she’s not accommodating to what you want.., NEXT 😂
Sometimes you stick with a stylist because 1) that person has given you what you want before, 2) you know they are CAPABLE of giving you what you want, you KNOW they are, and 3) you are desperate for a cut/style, whatever, and because of 1 and 2, and because you haven't got the time to do the research to get a new stylist in a short time, you go with who you have. I've done this. Major mistake, but I get it. Almost everyone has done it.
I feel like hair salons and business own hairstylist need to have menus just like nail salons in waxed studio’s do. They have menus of how much their stuff costs. Those hairstyles that have selective clients could be charging how much they want to charge at any given day which is very sketchy. I don’t know why they don’t have menus of what they do.
Most do but when it comes to extentions it's pretty pricey when I was in class and got certified we were told to be careful of how we tell our client's the price because for quality work and remy hair it's expensive you don't want to chase your clients away with the full blow cost like yeah your total is 1,000 plus wash and style xxx that's why we are told to do a contract have them do a deposit so they invest in you and themselves plus the hair usually the stylist is supposed to buy the hair for the client cause if the client brings in the hair you may have a problem after the install with color highlights it's costly for the stylist it's product you have to spend money to make money and cosmoprof isn't cheap Quality products cost money extentions can cost from 800 and up it's high maintenance so when you go to a stylist have a consultation with them sit down ask questions on the price and Don't be afraid to speak up with the service at the end of the day you should go home leaving the shop happy and satisfied with the service
Sis I’m just glad your hair is still okay. But this story and everything you said about black businesses resonates with me. Grab your popcorn. So last year I was tired of my hair color and I wanted to try something new, but not anything too crazy. I wanted a deep burgundy. Now tbh I’ve never had my hair done professionally or never really bothered with dying my hair just because I never had the money to get my hair done professionally and I was afraid I would mess my hair up. Now I guess you could say I live a surburban area. You can find some good stuff locally but still might have to travel out to the city to get some good quality things (anywhere from 20 min to an hour) but honestly I was on a crunch for time and didn’t want to travel too far. So I searched locally. The first shop I went was Dominican. I saw some pics online on some silk presses they did on natural hair as well as some hair dye which looked decent. Went there and the place was small and cute. I really liked how the hair stylist/owner took her time to walk through the process but the price was out my budget ($200, at a discounted price). I continued my search and came across another shop right down the street but the one and only hair stylist was white but I saw a whole bunch of black girls hanging out there. I thought maybe they were hair stylist as well but they were just chilling there. All of them had braids. I told the lady what I wanted and her price was $70 for everything, but for some reason I thought it was too cheap lol and i guess it didn’t help that she had absolutely no pictures either online or even in person. Finally, I went to another stylist who I had went to before who had done my hair before but it was crochet faux locs and charged a decent price. I did experience significant hair loss but that was due to my neglect while leaving it in for too long. So I remembered she’s always posting her work on Facebook and Instagram and went to check out if she had any pics related strictly to dying natural hair. I only found one and the lady had a twa and the color was okay, but now that I understand the coloring process better it definitely was messy. Despite that, my slow self still hit her up and asked her if she had experience with dying natural hair and of course she yes. I told her what I wanted and her price was $100. I’m like okay, right smack in the middle. I can deal with that. She told me to send her pictures of the color I wanted and style which I promptly did. So the the morning of, I came but she wasn’t there yet because she had to stop off the beauty supply to get some things to do for my hair. I was her first client so I wasn’t bad. So she from finally comes with what I later realize is salon size bleaching products. Now I still didn’t think much of it because my little sister was getting her hair bleached after me so I thought it was for her. Again, idk much about coloring, but I know you don’t have to use full on bleach on dark hair to achieve the type of burgundy I wanted. Again, I told this woman that I wanted a burgundy so dark it would look black. Now obviously that’s not the best way to explain it but I sent her pictures. To finally get to the point of you haven’t figured it out yet. She put straight up bleach on my hair, which she was going to let stay on my hair for 30 min but as soon as she put it on my hair was already golden after 2 minutes. So I’m looking at her like “30 minutes?!” So then she’s like okay 10. I’m still thinking 10 is too long but okay. I figured once she’s done she’ll put on the actual dye and we’ll be good. Nah sis. She then put 40 developer on my hair for another 20-30 minutes and that killed my hair. By this time, my little sister (14) had come with my mother and the look on her face said it all. Even other people in the shop were looking like “wtf”. Okay, finally. She puts on the dye and my hair was orange!!!! I really wish I could post pictures on here to show my hair before and after and also show the pictures I sent to her. I didn’t know what to say. I was speechless and I wanted to cry. But I didn’t even go off. I paid her the $100. Then quickly went to the beauty supply store to buy a burgundy wig. The next day I washed my hair and it was falling out in clumps. Girl I was crying because only God knows how I’ve been struggling to grow my hair a decent length and I was mad at myself for not listening to the warning signs. I would go into detail about how I finally got the money back and was actually called “punta” by someone else in the shop when I came to get the money( she works in the back of a Hispanic barbershop) but I’ve already written too much. Like I said it’s been a year and my hair is just now finally getting back. Now if you’re wondering how I got my hair that color in my pic, I did it. If you took the time to read all this thank you.
Girl! I am soooooooo sorry you went through that! I grew my natural hair for a good 2 years and went to a stylist for a blowout for the first time. She cut my hair into a mullet. Burnt it with an old school hot comb and curlers. These stylists are horrible and I don’t trust them. I don’t let anyone touch my hair except for my braider and my mom now.
As a cosmetologist student, I’m so sorry that happened to you!!! I was reading with my mouth open as soon as you said she had a big bucket of lightener and 30/40 developer.
Angel yeah sis I wish I would’ve spoken up a bit more but like I said I really thought it was for my sister. And tell me how she used 30 developer on my sisters hair who has super thick and coarse hair (she had black hair wanting to go to dirty blonde) 🙃🙃
THIS IS WIIIIIIIIILLLLDDDDDD! I watched this whole video with my jaw on the FLOOOORR. I am so sorry this happened girl. I CAN NOT BELIEVE ol' girl dyed your hair before consulting you. Pushed your appointment so that SHE could get her hair done. Bye. Just wow. Wow wow wow wow wow. Anyways. You looked BAD at your photoshoot!
These people make the scam life look more and more enticing 😂🥴 I kid, but it’s a whole mess to be charged 1k for a couple hairstyles & her not be blown away by it. I’d be knocking wigs *off* if I had any issues.
Exactly, I really don’t wanna take away from the women who do a good job and have excellent customer service.... but I encourage us women to do our own hair because of this.
Exactly she don’t know what color highlights she wanted... blonde, honey brown, red, blue, grey... highlights could literally b any color and like she said, did she want a lot, a little, in the front, in the back??? The girl didn’t kno
"I paid u over $1,000, if I want that shit to touch my eyebrows...🤨😒" girl that is the energy we all need to have 😵👏🏽👏🏽 ur a boss, don't be afraid to expect treatment like one girl!
The fact that she pushed your time back after charging you for having it on that day I would be like okay well I’m not paying that extra $50 since you’re inconveniencing me. And y’all were on time!! And she wasn’t! Hell no
@@kuroe-chan5190 that’s true. I don’t think it should be legal to alter something I paid for before I’ve even seen what it was supposed to look like. Sue worthy for me.
Yes you got to be more VOCAL. And from the way she responded........ her energy was so unprofessional and unwelcoming.I’m a Virgo and I promise I always try to be the bigger person but girlllllll. Took me thirty eight years to say...... hold on Nawl this is how this bout to play out. It’s sad you got to be ugly to get respect from anyone especially our own people when you’re supporting them!!! Anyway you were Hella cute
To be quite honest, as a fellow small business owner, I would LOVE this type of feedback, but, directly to me. I de recommend letting her know about the experience you had with her, that way, she can do two things with the feedback- accept it gracefully and realize she needs to make a change in her customer service, or, get mad and lose you and a whole lot of other clients as potential returning clients. Smh. I gotta pray for this generation and their customer service experiences. Sorry you went through this, I, too have been through this wayyyy too often!
Pls let us know who it is so we don’t hire her. I went to get my hair done, i wanted big box braids. While she was braiding my hair I repeatedly ask her to lessen the tension. Anyway went @ 5pm & left @ 2 am. I got on bed trying to sleep, I couldn’t get comfortable. Around 3am, i had to wake my roommate up & ask her to cut the braids out. She was taking her time trying to figure out were my hair stopped, i grabbed the scissors & cut one of braids, it feel like someone released a chock hold on my braid. Couple of days after I had little red bumps all over my head, about 100 of them. I had to go to my doctor who wrote a script for some smoothing ointment & Antiboitic incase i get an infection due to me scratching all over my head. I did not allow anyone near my hair for @ least a decade. I just recently started to go to hairdressers & only for things I cannot do myself. Girl she might be living the good life but bad work & service always catches up to prople like her.
Whewww chileeeee EXPOSE HER! I wouldn’t have paid a dime extra because for number 1 she was late and that’s the number one RED FLAG! All I can say is lesson learned because you definitely do a good job doing your own hair sis ❤️
Giirrrrllllll. It’s one thing to be late, which is already unacceptable, but to be late b/c your ding-dong head ass wanted to get YOUR hair done!? Nah.
It's so unprofessional that a hairstylist can be so fake. That's y I am practicing to do my own hair . I'm just happy that you still slayed on your birthday. We learn and rise above our mistakes 😃.
I think if she did that outher hair stylers would be afraid to work with her , they would be concerned of wither she likes their work or not . It's just bad for business cuz she is an influence.
Oh girl u good. A hair stylist just played me with a wack ass "Silkpress". My hair was a full puff a hour later🤦🏾♀️mine u it was my birthday That day! I was soooooo pissed. I cried. I spent 80 bucks and I was HOT!
“Pick and choose your battles?” More like pickup and leave. I would’ve never given that much money to anybody for them to do my hair especially if they’re customer service was poor. A lot of them are like that which is why I rarely go to them. I feel for you and hope you never make the same mistake twice.
Never in my life have I heard a hairstylist charge extra for an appointment on a “Sunday”. Especially if the client is already paying damn near a THOUSAND DOLLARS.
CAN WE JUST SERIOUSLY COMMEND isi for her heart and her PROFESSIONALISM. You handled this situation so much better than I would have! Literally paying this girl for HER SERVICE. and it wasn’t no $400 dollars either. You are a G ISI!!!👑 I don’t care what nobody says. She finessed you and she was being rude and greedy. But it’s okay because god is blessing and will continue blessing you for your patience, and everything you did in this situation. Beaute gang has the BEST influencer CLEARLY💕🦋
Girl wow!!! sounds like she had some secret hate toward you and didn't even know you 🤷🏾 some ppl are just ridiculous but any way sis keep shining as you are much love❤ ❤
girl, literally listening to this story I’m reliving the numerous times this has happened. like you mentioned, i stop letting stylist being in my head and nurtured my hair MYSELF for a solid 3yrs and as soon as I try a sew in, i get a stylist who “specializes in natural hair” but doesn’t properly detangle, braids tight af, and weaves in the hair to the point where bumps pop up on my perimeter! All of your points were valid in my opinion! love #beautegang and love the openness you bring to each video Isi!
I agree with you 100000%! Some people should not be in this industry if they can't provide great customer service and work. And how in the world she know what color of highlights to do without even asking completely baffles me 🤔
Oh nah🤦🏽♀️ Definitely try to be more vocal in the moment about stuff like this I struggle with it to because I don’t want conflict but if you are paying that much money you should have had a way better experience especially since it’s for your birthday
Listening to this story, you remind me of myself! Red flags present all over the place but too nice to call people out! But where she messed up is she took your kindness for weakness! 🙃
Most of these new generations of black hairstylists lack professionalism and have too many crazy rules and prices.
AND THEY NOT LICENSED!!!
Exactly
They taking the same styles, changing the names and charging more. Thats why I keep the same stylist because I refuse to give these unprofessional people my money.

Ma'am you ignored your two i's; your insight and intuition. Don't do it again.
Sometimes it has to be said the matter of factly. I really hope Isi at least told this girl about herself.
Definitely
Yeahh Isi....two i's lolll
@@moremi5192 I see what you did there. . . clever.
and she in fact did it again 😭✌🏾

I love her! And she actually cares about her clients hair
Yes I love her!!!!
I’m on to deeper than hair she’s good
19:47 warning: the hairstylist claims to have celebrity clients but does "NOT" do her own hair. Run🏃

A lot of the time u prepay so it’s not so easy they could keep your money and go bout their business
eltina21 most don’t...I kno all types of NY stylists and none do
@@absolutebeautyxoxo usually you give a deposit and you pay the rest afterwards... No? If not y'all in NY are suffering 💀
absolutebeautyxo And in cases like this, you refute the charges (with your bank/card provider) with the quickness.
i would’ve stopped after she said she couldn’t do the hairstyles with the ponytail you wanted etc. and found another hairstylist tbh
Very true, especially since she had a whole month in advance. But hey, lesson learned.
RIGHTTT
Right. The end.
Righttttttt!!!!
Exactly she brought it on herself. Cause the stylist already showed her in the beginning that she the stylist was gonna be a issue.
I’m sorry but the moment I hear the cost of something is wayyyyy too much I’m not getting it done. And if a stylish said they couldn’t do the look I was going for, I’m going to find someone else.
Yess as soon as she said it had to be her hair & it was expensive, yeah no thanks. *Starts strolling on IG again*
Exactly
That's exactly what I was thinking! $1000 for a hairstyle, absolutely not.
That's damn near average celebrity pricing but a hair stylist rarely says no without reasoning
Meli Chante right 😂😂
It’s the “beautiful” in the background said by Josh for me 😭😭😍 I just love y’all
My name is Essence too! 🥰
I look at it like this: If they from IG, sell hair or lashes, and the stylist is younger than 25- be very skeptical. If their bio is a long list of rules and regulations- its finna be some trash. I’m sorry, $200 for some damn highlights? She’s a scammer 😭
‼️‼️‼️
Facts
I am a stylist. $200 is a realistic price for highlights. Products, gloss/toners, and time. Some of my highlighting services are more than that. Having your hair done is a luxury not a necessity. If you want to look like a celebrity, you have to spend the money. (This particular stylist was unprofessional, but the price isn't a problem at all.)
what I paid $120 for a full hair color, wash, condition, & style at the hair shop but $200 for just the highlight 😱😱😱
Tiffany Roberts it shouldn’t cost $200 for bleaching a damn wig 😐
She charged way WAY more bc youre an influencer. It's the same type of thing they do when I go to Nigeria and they know I'm also Canadian. If I speak in an American accent/candian accent, they realize I'm a foreigner and all of a sudden up the price. So I have to speak in my native language or else they start doing bs.
@Wilmina Robinson I know, they're not!!! But when you look like a foreigner or you have white friends with you, they think you're stupid and you don't know anything. So they up the price to play you.
“Influencer”🤣
@Wilmina Robinson think job
T Marie huh
because it’s sunday it’s $50?? that quite literally makes no sense in any type of realm😭 imagine going to a restaurant and them saying your meal will cost extra because of the day💀
that stylist was definitely money hungry ..
I would have said okay well that's $50 off because you were late right? I as the customer charge late fees boo
And what’s even more messed up is that it’s not even noted on her website. She literally lied and just tacked on a charge.
Some restaurants do charge more for weekends and holidays...very common practice for buffets where I am. It’s okay to charge it, but be transparent.
Amari Inasad what’s her website?
Absolutely NOT. You had me at 200 for highlights. All the rest is even worse. Nope. Ab. So. LutelyNOT.
Lord Jesus, I hadn't even gotten to the pre-done highlights on the sew in. Girl. You tripping, I'm trying to understand why you went through with this😂. Horrible from start, poor thing.
I have a huge, huge amount of respect for natural hair, and what you ladies go through for beauty. Natural hair is AMAZING.
When she said 600.00 for hair it would have been a NO =New Opportunity.
Well said sis
Much love!

🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️🚶🏽♀️
Baby!! Bc we’re walking all the way off set.
😂😂 okay?!!!
I couldn't imagine, especially MOSTLY providing my own hair care, would I pay this much for a service! That price alone just sounds scammish.
If they don't end up liking it that's on them 🤷🏾♀️
I completely agree! Just like food establishments have to display their scores, hair stylists need to display their licenses b/c this is ridiculous.
I dont think you need a license if you're giving quality but you could literally go to a professional salon and not spend that damn much
Hair is an Art form (sorry Halfrican Beautie you found the WRONG artist).
She may not have a license. Stylist and Cosmetologist are two different things!
You need to make another ig page for when you’re reaching out to stylists. When they see your influencer ig they’ll want to over charge you.
Great suggestion
1400baby X What the other person said was a possibility though
Usually a influencer would get better service tho
Omg yess I believe so cause they see the have a little bit of followers so they believe they would have more money
I was thinking she got played because she’s well known too!!
😕 crook
TF?!?!?
Girl, I’m going for a blow-dry, trim and cornrow (no extensions) for £30.
Oh woww
Because you spent so much on your hair, she should have done a free install
Exactly.
$1000 & she can't even do 2 hairstyles🙄🙄
That part
Nah Sis, you got finessed plain and simple, this was a whole shakedown from the very beginning. I'm glad this didnt ruin your birthday though.
Exactly from her being late, the dry text, the dye not turning out right or being asked first, pushing the appointment back, Ect. It was a no for me I would have just taken the cancellation fee but I'm not giving a extra $490 for tight ass braids
Not a shakedown lool but yeah sounds crazy
Did you dispute the charge? You could get your money back easy with all of the evidence!

I refuse to go to hair salons at this point. 90% of them are like this.
Same. After years of fails, over charging, and piss poor service, I’m done. 2021 and beyond it’s gonna be me, myself and I, shit
She definitely was trying to get a bill paid and kept tacking on more money because of it
Yea her doing people on Love and Hip Hop hair says NOTHING because they hair be HORRIBLE
Exactly ....
😂😂😂
Yes there wigs be off, I have never been to school for that. But wow 😳
Ntm why didn’t she ask what color you want your highlights... no consultation she knew you were getting a photo shoot, no questions asked you what you were wearing I mean she says to be as professional enough to do hair on love and hip-hop all sounds suspect to me. Wish you would’ve had a better experience. I have to be really careful about these really tight braids for sew-ins. I have seen lots of videos where young ladies who have had really tight tight braids ended up losing ALL of there are I’m talking 👨🦲 bald.
Imma be honest... she probably charged you a lot cuz you an influencer 😔 up here where I live... these prices are ridiculous!!!!
that's EXACTLY what she did. smh.
Yeah...she probably did her research and then conned her! She saw someone who had a nice following and stuff and took advantage!!!!
YES she should ve dmed her from a different account
I hope that's the case even tho that's terrible to do. I can't imagine a average minimum wage client affording these prices smh that's rent
I’m still shook at the fact that she charged $200 for some damn highlights. Girl.
I can’t believe she had the nerve to filter them pictures like that , sounds like a scam but the good Lord saw you girl .
I would have posted the same picture side by side and captioned it what I asked for vs what I got & @ the stylst. My commenters would get the vibe and dragged for me
Meli Chante or “what she posted vs what she did”
I'm upset and I didn't even spend any money. I'm just a viewer. Smdreads
Say the stylist's name so that others won't go through this experience.
She can't say the stylist's name in a whole video. She could be setting herself up for a lawsuit.
@@dianeprince1684 a lawsuit based on what? Aren't these the facts? Her personal opinion on her experience with the stylist?
That would be disrespectful
@@mayaoccomy8916 bad customer service is disrespectful
Diane Prince just a little curious, how would she get sued? She got a service done for her and she has the right to say who did it, just because the service was bad I don’t think that means she doesn’t get to name the person who did her hair and it’s not like she signed anything that says she can’t name the stylist.
Oh yea she wouldn't have got my money, & I would've left from jump. That's why when I go to people I literally research tf outta them!
Understood but you can research all day. You never know how heavy someone braids until you sit down in the chair unfortunately
You do NOT sound crazy. She’s outta control yo
Wait why did you stick with her? 😭😭 Did she have good photos of her work? Cause this is too much 😭. You have to use her hair, she’s not accommodating to what you want.., NEXT 😂
ANGWI!!!!😍😍❤
I’m trying to figure out the same thing 😭 this video stressed me out
Right! She would of been hired and fired just that quick.
This!
WORD
I have a full menu and it's still issues
Deja Simms oh my wow smh
Angel yeah sis I wish I would’ve spoken up a bit more but like I said I really thought it was for my sister. And tell me how she used 30 developer on my sisters hair who has super thick and coarse hair (she had black hair wanting to go to dirty blonde) 🙃🙃
