    Westman Atelier foundation sticks are THE BEST. I’m 43 now, and as someone who never wore foundation until this year, I can say foundation has come a very very long way from when I first experimented in the early 90s and realized it wasn’t for me. Using her vital sticks is like using an eraser rather than applying a bunch of gunk to my face. It looks like skin! So easy for a foundation newbie to apply, and I feel much more confident because my skin looks great yet it doesn’t look like I’m wearing any makeup!
    Mother Dirt is pretty amazing as well. I love Gucci Westman and her aesthetic. I’ve been hoping one of my friends will go to Japan soon, because I really want that device she has mentioned in this video and other articles. Please, I really do hope you are able to film in her Manhattan bathroom!

    I love Gucci Westman and was so excited to watch this episode, but have to admit that I was a little disappointed. I miss the interviews happening in their actual bathrooms!! There is something so unique and raw about your bathroom interviews. I love getting to know your subjects in their natural habitat, there’s an intimacy that you just can’t get from a hotel bathroom. Gucci seemed rushed and a little uncomfortable - not because of you - but I couldn’t help but think we could have got to know her better in a different setting and with a longer episode. It was weird not to be able to see your face, the angle was weird and I understand that was most likely due to the shape of the bathroom.. It was such a tease to hear she has a bathroom at home full of products!! I want to know what they are!! Please push to do another interview in her real bathroom, I think she is so interesting and we barely got to scratch the surface in this episode. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, I adore you and love this series!

      She looks soo uncomfortable to me too. Her arms and legs are both crossed. That is classic self-protecting behavior. Maybe she was uncomfortable with the chair and where the camera was placed.

    I really wonder who’s giving her advice on how to manage rosacea. Using a clinical grade micro-needling device at home, liking products that sting or hurt, exfoliating every day :(

      Yeah I also have rosacea and I was advised by a dermatologist that I can’t do dermaroller. Actually with rosacea, you can’t do many of these treatments unfortunately

    • @jct6808
      @jct6808 5 років тому +3

      Not everyone with rosacea wants to forgo using anti aging options there are pros and cons.

    • @ocandro
      @ocandro 5 років тому +2

      Many dermatologists advice against microneedling, because they want to have the monopoly for it, but many rosacea sufferers actually benefit from it, just like everybody else. You need to understand that rosacea isn't always in a flareup state, you can start incorporating the truly beneficial skincare and treatments when you get it under control. I'm pretty sure she has better advice than you and me actually.
      Also, chemical exfoliation, massages, microneedling etc can be irritating and painful, but they also make your skin stronger, more immune and resistant if used properly.

    Westman Atelier products are exquisite. I have thus far purchased the foundation and contour stick, and both are incredible products and very skin-friendly. Absolutely love her philosophy and ethos as a brand-creator and very experienced artist. She has redefined luxury cosmetics, and I can't wait for her line to evolve and expand. I hope she produces a primer and mist in the future.

    I love her approach to makeup. My only criticism is the price; at 21:00, she expresses her concern at young women and girls being so influenced by mask-like makeup on Instagram, yet her more natural products are far too expensive to offer an alternative to this group of women.

Beauty has been a safe space for gay men where other spaces haven’t been. It’s good to see a minority doing well and isn’t something you should try to undo. The statement came off as reclaiming something that was rightfully hers. There’s room for everyone to do well it should not be about besting a particular group

      roxxylala26 I actually like that look. I think most women have their own comfy style............mine is similar but my love of leather jackets & ankle boots suits me well............

      @@florence1395 Yeahhh, don't get me wrong, I love that look but almost EVERY video I see of her, her attire seems more on the masculine side. I just wished she brought out her feminine side out more. Since she promotes her own makeup, you would think her look would be more girly. I honestly thought she was a lesbian when I initially started watching all her videos. Yes, I know she's married with kids.

    This is fantastic, it goes further than I anticipated. It’s very exciting, I’m excited by her fresh perspectives in natural meets luxury meets performance..!
