After I turned 12 (1970) I used to take long walks around the neighborhood trying to escape the disfuction at home. I would take my transistor and find peace in the woods. This song has always had a profound meaning to me. It saved me.
American fade notwithstanding, it got played on radio, and we all bought the album. We loved all the Moodys' music; Still do, and Tuesday Afternoon is the one our kids and grandkids immediately get, recognize, and sing along with. Long version, short version, it's a more compelling song/ tune/icon. ( in my experience)
My favorite group of my 67 years. So many songs and not one i didnt love that is an encredable acomplishment. Justin what you did for the moody blues. I love john lodge writting as well they just fit so well together.
I was born on a Tuesday so were both of my children, Tuesday Afternoon is my son's favourite song as a singer songwriter himself he sings it beautifully with great admiration to yourself as a musical hero. ⭐🎶🎵🎶🩵
I was hunting The Moody Blues...Im so happy all those years since 67 that Im not regret for choising them as one of the best sinfonic rock band of all those years past and to come.
we listened to nights in white satin on radio stations in California was played constantly early "70's" we love all your songs! Tuesday afternoon also a giant favorite.
All the songs that the Moody Blues have recorded I just love them all! There might be one or two albums that I haven’t heard, but, most of them I have heard!
A very pleasant surprise for you, Justin, that both "Nights" and "Tuesday Afternoon" became hits for you! And since I live in the US, yes "Tuesday Afternoon" is what I heard first. I fancy both songs...thanks for your Tuesday Afternoon video series! 💕
My god your voice hasn't changed, love it... I listened to Tuesday as a kid heading to Mt Washington, always connected that memory with that time and now in my twilight still loving it 😊
that is not true abunch from my town in Missouri just loved NITES IN WHITE SATIN, that was the first song I heard and could not believe how awesome it was, then someone told me how all the songs flowed to the next one. It was so outstanding every song on there was so beautiful!! Well, all the other MOODY BLUES music after that! Watching and Waiting song is such a beautiful song! That was 1972 DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED WHEN I discover ed it, Thank you Moody Blues for all the beautiful music you all created and the London Symphonic Orchestra!!!
I bought the album for Nights in White Satin❤️ and played that track over and over. THEN...listened to the album in it's entirety. Fell in love with the whole album! I still listen to it. Thank you Justin. Your voice is just as it was in the 60's. Excellent!
One of the greatest songwriting duo' s of all time...Lennon/McCartney, Lerner/Lowe, Bacharach/Sager, Hayward/Lodge, and they are almost always overlooked. What a shame! How is it that so called music critics get paid so well. They know nothing...
Tuesday Afternoon is one of my favorite songs.. shame they cut it to be shorter here in the US. I want the long version! And how could Nights in White Satin not be a hit here?! It’s one of the most amazing songs Ever! ❤
The Moody Blues is one of the greatest bands. My favorite is Wildest Dreams and l chose Nights in White Satin as my next. Tuesday Afternoon is good too.l am 69 and still listen to those old dongs.
The Moody Blues одна из грандиознейших групп в мире, когда я услышал The Moody Blues in search of the Lost Cord в 65 или 66 гг. - был просто "контужен"... (!) Edge, Lodge, Pinder, Thomas & Hayward - просто гении !!
