I just bought this replaced my 2015 MacBook Pro that served me very well. So far, I'm thrilled with this laptop. The screen is stunning, but I think I'm most impressed how thin and light it is, even with the AC adapter.
First thing I would do would be to test out a local LLM. An arm based Lenovo laptop would help with doing work while on the road and at conferences without having to worry as much about charging.
yup total believer. I'm keeping mines thinking I would return it. Just put more premium trackpad, speakers, max out the battery used in legions and it will be MUCH better. DON'T try do Noise Reduction in AI as it is significantly slow in using that feature, but for a portable laptop, it exceeded well beyond my expectations and is my daily driver. I keep using ARM for windows and just get extremely frustrated, but this is a great turning point.
Aspiring game designer here. Blender with arm would be good for work+battery performance. Where my old Lenovo y50 gets me 2 hours, 6 hours would be amazing! I would use it to power my side hustle of web design and double duty as light 3d modeling and texture paining.
First thing I would do is set up a free windows on arm ci/cd server so that open source projects can easily cross-compile and distribute their software to the Windows on arm community!
This is a positive-only review filled with generalities and marketing buzz words. More of an advertisement than an unbiased review. Paraphrasing here: Your apps will just work. My benchmark test didn't break a sweat. So many generalities. No comparisons to competition. Not good.
Everyone reviewing a machine with the new Snapdragon chips has been skimming over the graphics capabilities. Can it handle AutoCAD/Revit or similar programs?
First thing I'd do is change the power management configuration to performance and then install Visual Studio, get straight down to some work. What it's designed for.
i wonder how much slower 78 would be compared to to 84 or 81, finger magnet, i did checked it out in best buy yesterday, but can’t decide between this and surface 7 13. kudos to lenovo for selling ram and ssd upgrades half the price than competitors
I'm a dad of 1 daughter and expecting another. I'm waiting to buy a new laptop to be able to work online so I can have more time to spend with my kids:)
Software compatibility claims are not true. There ARE applications that will not run on Windows ARM64 even with emulation. Looking at Google Drive desktop app.
Windows has 80% global laptop market share. Apple has 8% global laptop market share. Apple is fourth in US market share behind Dell, HP, and Lenovo. So when is Apple going to make a laptop the world (and US) wants?
Technically the human eye (and brain) cannot tell a major difference in between 90hz and 120hz. The human eye can however notice a significant difference in 60hz to 90hz. My father is an eye doctor and surgeon. Ive asked him this very question numerous times and I've gotten the same answer over and over. I believe Lenovo went with the 90hz display to have a "high" refresh rate but not to high to keep battery usage low. 120hz really blows through the battery life. It is suitable for me and 99% of humans, unless you are the 1% that claims this is an issue. Those that claim they can tell a difference is likely a placebo affect. I personally can tell a major difference in 60hz & 90hz but see little to no difference in 90hz to 120hz.
Some information was not well researched and an outright lie. Many Adobe apps did not work, MatLab does not work, numerous old printers do not synch, and does it run Linux OS on the hardware. Gaming is mediocre experience and has lots of crashes. Even with those issues, the laptop is still excellent for data analysis and photo editing. Also, good for some programming languages (Javascript, Python, C, and C++ programming).
EYY.. JON......... WHAT'S SOO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS NORMAL LOOKING LAPTOP PCCC???????????? Please don't waste our time and your editing on this again... Common....
I'm a big fan of Lenovo PC's, Lenovo ThinkPad's have been my all time favorite, Legion Yoga Slim 7x seems impressive as well, would love to have one of these on my office desk, these will for sure give a boost to my productivity @irahul4sharma
haven't used a laptop PC that has OLED panel before, very excited to try it for the first time, have always loved Lenovo PC's & Yoga series always amazes with its versatility @srhtripathi
Hard to trust such videos when the maker is sponsoring the video.
Man lenovo is the most practical laptops around
go down, buy it, try it, don't like it, return it.
@@klintonkacatin such options don't exist where i live .
First thing? Easy, make sure McAfee isn't factory installed.
Windows defender needs to identify McAfee as malware
What about Norton?
It is.
I just wipe the drive and install a fresh copy of windows + the drivers i need. Way too much fluff on laptops these days, especially lenovo
Get a NTLite PRO subscription and make your own gutted windows ISO without DEFENDER and all the rest BS.
Game changer
One of my first laptop purchases that I was proud of was a Lenovo yoga. Great product and brand
heck yeah!

If only the trackpad was haptic! I’m returning mine.
Great video ...not hampered by endless comparison graphs & charts
First thing I would do is set up a free windows on arm ci/cd server so that open source projects can easily cross-compile and distribute their software to the Windows on arm community!
Best laptop i have had in a decade - without a doubt.
First thing I would do would most likely breathe a sigh of relief since I have a clean slate of a laptop to start up again on lol
Let me say they have improved everything like heat, battery life and performance.
Jon Love Lenovo but not sure I like how thin, I'll take a little bulk. Thanks so much for sharing.💯✌️
Lenovo is the new Toyota of laptops … excellent quality…reliable … practical… and more importantly…relatively cheaper .. great video Jon!

I'd use it for DJing. I've been trying to get more into it lately 😊
Careful though - most dj software does not support these prcocessors and ARM..yet
Everyone reviewing a machine with the new Snapdragon chips has been skimming over the graphics capabilities. Can it handle AutoCAD/Revit or similar programs?
how is it for architecture programs?
I will be using recall when ready
First thing I'd do is change the power management configuration to performance and then install Visual Studio, get straight down to some work. What it's designed for.
My third lenovo. Ill be doing my first award winning documentary with the yoga 7x snapdragon
Would be interested to compare this against the thinkpad equivalent ie T14s gen 6 to see if the thinkpad is worth the extra
i wonder how much slower 78 would be compared to to 84 or 81, finger magnet, i did checked it out in best buy yesterday, but can’t decide between this and surface 7 13. kudos to lenovo for selling ram and ssd upgrades half the price than competitors
Just put a skin and solve the fingerprint magnet problem
First thing I'll do is to edit videos for my upcoming channel and edit photos, and put that life to good use.
Man i hope i get this kind of laptop. I will use it on my studies.
I'm a dad of 1 daughter and expecting another. I'm waiting to buy a new laptop to be able to work online so I can have more time to spend with my kids:)
Dang. Multi day battery life is very impressive.
I would do some nature hdr video editing on it Ah yeah the one I've been waiting for
First thing I would do is go to coffee shop and do my designing works with Illustrator or 3dsmax using Lenovo Yoga with battery powered only.
First thing I would is start working on adobe illustrator with that battery life, no worries.
First thing? Set up a WSL dev environment or try installing ARM Linux.
Anybody know the lifespan of this laptop? I mean theoretically.
Animation and editing of the video is amazing. Just the name say its amazing laptop Yoga=Yoda 😂. Amazing review Jon.❤
Absolute beast notebook. Great vid Jon. I want to win to buy this beauty!
I’ll watch Game of Thrones on it!
processor is slowest available in x elite family, games probably hit and miss with arm still
Trust me, you won't notice the difference between X Plus and X Elite 84
I would say the Microsoft Surface devices especially the laptop 7 . none of that bloatware like Mcafee and etc.
First thing would be to fill out that college application.
I'll use it as a flower press
I would start developing right away
Nice video Jon!
For once in your life, do reviews on your own without sponsorship.
First thing I would do is stream my favorite shows on Hulu
Just wait until July when they put amd chips in this laptop. Right now Snapdragon still has a lot of issues
Nice looking laptop
Now that was an intro!

Been following you since Jon4lakers was a thing nuff said! Love you bro! That’s why I should win lol
I'd start learning Adobe Illustrator and Premiere!
1) don’t expect too much from Adobe Apps
2) once you learn how to use them you’ll see why so many are leaving Adobe…
I just bought one to replace my mbp 2019
The first thing I would do is to download Microsoft office so I can start do my assignments for Master's degree.

Free $500 to buy a new laptop, why not? May try this new laptop 😃
First thing I'll do is turning off all telemetry
first thing i would do. remove bloatware.
Gotta love Lenovo!
And only 90Hz 😮💨

First uninstall unwanted software. Then install and setup my development environment, then install my games.
I will create a bunch of presentations on it and give it to my wife who is my best half!
I'd edit some videos then play solitaire.
Donate old laptop amd would use this one.
first thing? enjoy )))
ARM isnt ready for prime time.
Install Firefox 🌚
Amazing piece of tech... I would start by gaming to try the new processor capability
You need dedicated gpu for gaming!
