I am Chinese. In fact, China was in a similar situation about thirty years ago, with rampant overcharging and littering everywhere. However, these problems have largely disappeared now. This change is partly due to economic development and improvements in education and civic awareness. Another crucial factor is the government's strict crackdown on such behaviors. When the cost of punishment is higher than the profit from extortion, naturally, no one will engage in these activities. Therefore, I believe this issue is not about Indian people but rather about the Indian government's insufficient governance.

Hey Ken, I just wanted to remind you to be extra cautious when dealing with local vendors here. Unfortunately, tattoo artist and saloon overcharged you. Tattoos could cost as little as 50 INR and haircuts around 150-200 INR. Just make sure to double-check everything before making a purchase to avoid being taken advantage of. Stay vigilant and enjoy your time in India!

Hii, I would like to give you one suggestion, Before purchasing anything, ask local customers about the approximate price for any item/service then proceed For example: You have been to haircut saloon, before entering the saloon ask any random customers at the road about the haircut price in India, so that you will get one idea😊😊
The tattoo artist initially quoted Rs. 30-50, but when you were ready to get the tattoo, he raised the price significantly. Additionally, he introduced you to the barber and gave him a large tip, seemingly implying that you should do the same.
Hey Ken! Loving your exploration of New Delhi! If you're still traveling around North India, I highly recommend checking out Uttarakhand, especially Nainital, Kedarnath, Mussorie, Munsyari and Himachal Pradesh. Also, Let me share a different perspective of my country. While it's true that India can be bustling and chaotic at times especially for foreigners, it's also a land of unparalleled beauty, rich heritage, and remarkable achievements. Beyond the hustle and bustle, you'll find a nation that leads in technology, medicine, and culture. From the majestic Himalayas to the serene backwaters of Kerala, India's landscapes are diverse and awe-inspiring. And when it comes to hospitality, you'll be hard-pressed to find a warmer welcome anywhere else in the world. So, as you explore, keep an open mind and let India surprise you with its wonders." Keep up the fantastic content, and safe travels!

I stayed in Paharganj when I was in Delhi. It was definitely an experience. Met some very friendly people and some interesting characters. Although I wouldn't stay there again. I also made sure in my bag I only carried water, no wallet and just cartied a small amount of cash on me. So if I did get pickpocketed I wouldn't lose a lot. And my phone in a zipped up pocket. Nothing happened though. It was fun but much better places to stay.
You showed the more modern and clean parts of Delhi in your earlier video, but this is the place I stayed on my visit almost 30 years ago and it hasn't really changed much. Are you planning to visit varanasi or the Taj mahal? I would like to see how they look now. I would like to visit the country again, but on my visit years ago I was scammed and felt unsafe in a few situations
Whatever price they offer you always remember to drop the price by at least 30 to 40% and you will have a fair price and this rule isn't just for India but other countries like Thailand and Vietnam as well as Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
If you don't to want to be scammed. Speak in hindi mostly chance you wouldn't be scammed. And if anyone ask more money to you. Just go from that shop. Mostly chances they will decrease the price.
I like watching your videos, you are very open minded person, always responding with smile, that shows your interaction, communication & peoples skills is of high calibre, you are not like other bloggers who goes around looking for free meals, shoos street beggers with disgust, and then expect people to subscribe their vlogs. Also that 600 rupees for haircut was like $10.67 (extremely high priced), and tattoo was high too, you only had to pay less than $2, or Indian rupee, 100, so in fact you got scammed badly as pre warned
You can Always ask the staff of hotel, taxi drivers or shop keeper about the local prices for small things and then again verify with other people that will save you from getting fleeced on streets.

The T-shirt owner is kind and honest. He said you the actual prize of tshirt.
All are not bad but some peoples try to get some extra amount of the product from foreigners. This is not good.
Poor Ken. The tattoo guy ripped you off. Actual price should be around 30-50 and haircut should be 50-100

People who charged an unfair amount are a shame for this country!
That heena guy has charged you a lot the real cost for that design is not more then 30 rupees and then also he took you to that saloon who was his friend that heena guy advised him to charge you extra. The hair cut in India at that type of saloon, it doesn't cost more then 100.
That this guy also knows...these foreigners try their best to show bad about India. No youtube views if would have had haircut for 200 rs at mall.
2:42 Man was walking in opposite direction from you but changed his direction to follow you until 3:02 that is creepy and dangerous as hell
Donot worry.Actually , Ken say "I want play a game" , just for fun.
ken try to remember if he says 1000 just figure it out and give him no more then 1/3 of the price and nothing more on everything and honestly mostly ladies do henna

India is the land of businesses if you haven't realised already by now. I agree with Ken, you need to learn how to negotiate and say no otherwise don't come here. It is not for weak agreeable people.

Yes! for cheap people like you, it is a huge amount. You must be having a haircut under the tree. I understand 600 is too much, but these days if you go to better salons, a haircut is not less than a 200-300 Rs. Ken is from a country, where people don't get haircut under a tree.

The hustle and bustle here are intense! Despite the warnings, you seem to have had some interesting interactions. Did you find any hidden gems in this part of Delhi?
Hii, I would like to give you one suggestion,
Before purchasing anything, ask local customers about the approximate price for any item/service then proceed
For example: You have been to haircut saloon, before entering the saloon ask any random customers at the road about the haircut price in India, so that you will get one idea😊😊
This is great information ! ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻
The tattoo artist initially quoted Rs. 30-50, but when you were ready to get the tattoo, he raised the price significantly. Additionally, he introduced you to the barber and gave him a large tip, seemingly implying that you should do the same.
I would have given the tattoo artist a knuckle sandwich as soon as he quoted 10 times the price.
Hey Ken! Loving your exploration of New Delhi! If you're still traveling around North India, I highly recommend checking out Uttarakhand, especially Nainital, Kedarnath, Mussorie, Munsyari and Himachal Pradesh. You'll be in for an amazing experience that's quite different from Delhi. The natural beauty and serene atmosphere in these regions are truly breathtaking.
Also,
Let me share a different perspective of my country. So, as you explore, keep an open mind and let India surprise you with its wonders."
Keep up the fantastic content, and safe travels!
