- Well... A lot of firsts for me in this one while metal detecting on my favourite field! Such vast history waiting beneath the ground for me but I think this will be my last visit here until harvest time, I cannot wait for that after this haul! I hope that you enjoy coming along with me as much as I have enjoyed it myself :)
Check out my shop on Etsy where you can buy some of the things that I find: www.etsy.com/u...

Thanks, it was a good variety in there this time, it always surprises me 😊
Nice find! And nice story. Never too old to learn something new. Many nice finds.
Thanks, I enjoy that part, the research and learning about who would have used the things we find 🙂

would have been one of my favourite find ever too Ed - very well done!!!!!!
Thanks Alexander, it will take a lot to beat that but who knows what will be next from there, it seems to have a bit of everything.
Let’s go let’s go treasure 💕🌺👵✌️
Wooo let's GO!!
Fantastic finds Ed, the grinder superb. It does make you wonder how all those items from around the world came to be in a field in England
Thanks Darren, there is a Celtic temple not far away so perhaps lots of religious travellers about the place so maybe something to do with that, peo-le got about a bit in those days it seems 😂
👍 from your brother tezza thanks for sharing you legend happy easter
Cheers Tezza, I hope you are well 🙂👍
Wow! Congratulations on some great finds! Have an amazing week!
Thank you! You too! 🙂
Wow, Ed! Your videos always blow me away. I've never seen a woad grinder before. Definitely in the running for find of the year. Is that the sort of thing a museum is likely want to keep? Or do you think you'll be able to keep it? They obviously aren't common, but I have no idea if they are rare enough that they'll make you and offer you literally can't refuse.
Thanks so much, I will definitely get it recorded but it is mine to keep, the museum's won't be able to buy it from me 😂😂
@@VintageParagonUk Maybe you'll let them borrow it, if they ask nicely. 🤣🤣🤣😝
Amazing finds Ed, your joy is so infectious😊. Definitely your best two days yet, well done. Mesmerising and totally enjoyable, see you soon❤️
Thanks Jane, it will be tough to beat this one at least for a while i think 🙂
More great finds for your collection. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks, it is growing every time i go there 😊
Hi! The finds are getting better and better each week! Like the two buttons and the bell! The age of the coins amaze me! Thanks. S
Cheers Suzy, I don't think I will be able to beat this for a long time😊
Well done , that is a fantastic find 👏
Thanks mate 🙂
Your videos never disappoint! It's amazing the fortune you have to find such an amazing variety of coins and artifacts!
Love your laughter!
Yes! Had a really nice Easter! Hoping you did, too!
Those were really awesome finds this trip Ed. Congratulations on the Woad grinder, and your other great treasures. Take care.
Thank you Katherine, it has been such a great place 😁
Lovely...Happy Easter to you, too. You were certainly rewarded.
Thanks, it was a great couple of sessions 😁
Amazing interesting artefacts. Enjoyed watching. Thanks.
Thanks Jayne 😁
Wow! You really got some amazing finds. Really enjoyed that, thank you 😀💗 x
Thanks Amanda 😊
Another cracking video Ed, your finds never cease to amaze me buddy, happy easter 🐣. All the best 👍 Kelvin. 😊
Thanks Kelvin, Happy Easter to you too 🙂
Lovely find, I thought at first it was a medieval purse bar but I think you could be right, and it is in superb condition, lovely find well done and if I was you I would show it to the FLO and see what they say.
Thank you, yes I am long overdue a trip to the FLO, I am sure they would love to see it 🙂
What an amazing piece of history you found. I know you find some really old and nice pieces of history all the time. That piece there though is a one in a trillion. I mean think about it I’m sure everyone didn’t have one of those. Then think of the population back then. Now figure how many of that population was women and figure how many had one. Then you get the realization that they are extremely rare. Nice work.
It is mind boggling isn't it, I think they would have been quite high up the social ladder to have such a nice one too! and 100 generations ago!!! maybe I am related to the person who owned it. it is so cool!
Astonishing variety!
I love that place, you never know what's next 🙂
Love the bell. What would it have been used for ?
the crotal bell? in America they call them sleigh bells and would have likely been on animals so you don't lose them or so you can hear them coming 😂
@@VintageParagonUk thanks Ed 👍🏻
Very interesting finds! Cheers Ed!
Thanks 😁👍
I love the woad grinder! Its amazing.
Thanks Mary, it is great isn't it ☺️
Hi mate, never even heard of or seen a wove grinder before but it definitely has that ancient look to it, really cool find. Maybe the other half is nearby? Ya William III was really nice condition too. Epic day out mate. I only managed to go detecting once over the 4 day weekend
Hey, I have seen a few found on others vids but never in real life so kinda had an idea of what it was but really enjoyed researching it a bit. I haven't got a video for next week now, maybe I should have split this one up a bit 😂
Brilliant hauls! Whoaaa! to the woad😅 i really like those pieces of copper decoration, too. What could they have been? Trim on a wooden box maybe (that didnt survive)? Glad you found that tiny button (with leaf design? so small but lovely) and that you could ring your bell! Too many riches!!! ...Still and always playing catch-up 🥴
Thanks Sheebs, it was an epic day, so many great finds I was loving it 😂 glad you are catching up 😊
Why did the Georgians loose so many coins 🪙 😮😊
Maybe they needed to lighten the load because their coins were weighing them down 😂😂
Lovely Woad Grinder by the looks 👍
Thanks, it is really nice 😁
Fantastic finds! At 17th min. could be the other part of the woad grinder used to crush?!
That is an interesting idea but not sure if it is the right shape 🤔
Some really nice finds.
Cheers Paul 😁👍
Don't know why UA-cam forgot to notify me about this vid, but better late than never, eh? 😂 It's the last Thursday in May now, but just as sunny as where you were at Easter. 😁🐇🐤 Those were terrific finds, Ed. I'm so happy for you. 🥳👏 I think the woad grinder & the bell are the two best. Will you be reporting these to F.L.O.? I guess that's pretty okay, since it means you actually DID find some pretty special artifacts. 😁 It's always nice to have your efforts validated. 🥳👏 I'll see you for the next foray. Take care until then. 😊😘🤗💖👍👋
Hey Noralee, I hope you are well, this was an amazing day! I can't wait for harvest time again to get back on there. I will be reporting these and getting them recorded, I think it is important to get this done to preserve the history! Oh by the way, I think I might have found a little farm bottle dump so potentially might do a bit of digging soon 😁👍
@@VintageParagonUk Oooo - my heart went pitty-pat at the thought of dump digging. 🤣🤣I do still enjoy the metal detecting, though. 😍 I am doing well, now that the warm weather is finally making an appearance. 😁
Superb finds 👏🏻 new subscriber 👋🏻🍻
Hello and welcome, I am glad you are enjoying my videos 🙂
