I ship international through eBay international shipping where my stuff goes to their hub & they take it from there. No forms to fill out & just use regular eBay labels. They also handle any returns. So far,so good!
I love your videos. I just started eBay recently with only 60 items so far. I've started listing about 5 to 6 items daily. Can't wait to get it built up larger. I watch you all as much as I can.
Love you share this process with your viewers. I agree about tax laws and USPS. Ny mother did accounting and taxes for small businesses like you. She tried to get me into it, love accounting part, refused to do taxes because you have to keep on top of the ever changing tax laws.😂
My ebay sales are down 70% the past few weeks. I am about to just toss out a 50% off everything sale just to move inventory and get some much needed sales. My daughter is getting married next month. On the plus side I have stopped going to Goodwill because there just isn't enough good items for my time however a WhatNot pallet seller just popped up in my town so it's nice to get items from them super cheap and pickup, no shipping to save money.
I have a tiny eBay inventory, and I still had one item go missing. It was even worse because I had 2 pairs of boots of the same style in different sizes, and somehow I ended up with one size disappearing and the other size being duplicated.
I would strongly suggest getting an AI assistant one that’s voice activated and voice reply. Have it take notes as you replacing items give it an SKU number while you’re packing ask your AI what skew is this item in, it tells me the exact location of every item I have listed. I’m not much bigger than you. I’m only around 750 items but it is definitely getting tougher and an AI assistant can make it a little easier especially if you run solo like I do you just talk to your AI assistant tell them the SKU number they tell you where it’s at unless you have a uniform stage or storage to where everything is in a straight line it’s almost impossible to figure out what sku box is where so my items has a SKU number with a corresponding box number. The AI assistant keeps track of which boxes where and it stores this information as long as you have storage on your phone or PC whatever you work with.
yeah i realized at beginning of year that around 10 percent of my listings weren't there, i think its a error when its launched and never shows up into inventory.
Hey guys, here’s an idea 💡… talk to a real estate agent and ask them to BOLO a duplex whether one side is rented by an awesome, stable renters, and the other side is empty. Ideally, it would be something where you could actually make a little money (sort of). Let’s say you pay $1500 in your storage unit rents, and you buy a duplex with a mortgage of 2200 and the stable renter pays $1800 every month. You use the other side of your duplex as your storage and you’re essentially made some money in the fact that you’ve bought a generally appreciating asset, and you’re paying less than you did with the storage units!
Hey you guys I love watching you and if I have any money to play with after I pay my bills at the first of the month you guys are the first place I hit LOL see you then God bless.
I also just discovered this issue with eBay! I thought it was me but glad to know it’s not…….no senior moment! 😂. I only started selling in March and have 284 items listed and found five items no longer listed. They are supposed to be good until cancelled so is there anything we can do?
I know at one time it worked this way and i am under the impression it still does but what i am getting at is if your listing has no action/interaction for a year then ebay can delist it at their own discretion. for action/interaction i mean if you have no questions, no revisions, no title change, etc , you do nothing with your listing except leave it sit on ebay. so every once in the while you should do some type of revision even if you just change the title up or add/delete pictures, change your inventory count, do something with your listing and make it active with some type of revision if you have had no questions lately on your items, then bay will leave it alone.
Are you guys ending/selling similar on the bay? I remember something about eBay deleting listings when they’re dead. I know they don’t pop up in searches if they’re older than like 4 months…something like that. I just know that once I started ending/selling similar that I didn’t lose listings like I used to. Great sales! Excited for your success with whatnot!
I've got almost 100 reverewear I have to list, all but I think four are copper bottomed all with lids..from 3/4 qt to 12 qt to all the frying pans, kettles, stock pots, double boilers, double steamers.
30 year postal employee here and I think I know what happened with your international envelope. I’ll explain it but simply put you ran into a jackass employee. You probably sent an item out that was under one ounce in a padded envelope. In a regular envelope it would have gone for the amount of postage you had on it, which would be an envelope rate. You probably used a padded envelope, this makes your item a small packet according to some in the post office therefore you should pay a “small packet” rate which is more expensive. I’m assuming your item was flat and light and most people would have sent it on as an envelope but since it was padded someone got there postal police attitude on and sent it back for more postage as a small packet. In my opinion a jackass move. I’d need a little more info on your other item to know why you paid return postage because priority and ground advantage packages should be forwarded and returned with no additional fees. Some forms of shipment such as media mail would require you pay the postage if it was returned to you. I hope this helps and I love your channel. FYI I have some old Ford Torinos and a 1990 Mustang GT and love the Mustang coverage in the channel. I’d love to see more of Jullians Mustang and the mods he’s made. I’m working on saving up to buy a used Shelby myself. Keep up the great content, you are both awesome people!!
I just figured out the Z your dad uses. I always thought car guy, corvette Z1.... I won't list the other reason, but I've ordered something LOL. Oh and FB tried to get me to friend Kayla for a bit there. You didn't say something about clever girl, when you were going up to Kayla hunting orders!
What time and dates of your what not show? Saying next Saturday leaves me with a great big ?????? How do I. fine the what knot show. As you can tell I’m new. Love you guys plus doggy.
Just a heads up to you new people later in this video, he talks about how he pre-packs some of his items, especially breakable ones be extremely careful doing this. You really need to check out condition before you ship out and it’s hard to open packages that you’ve already got ready to go. I’ve had some break in packages. I was doing that when I first started out if you’re limited on storage you have to move the items a lot even the pre-packed ones and if one slip happens that items gone and if it’s sold, that is considered a strike against you for having to cancel the item. I stored them and open boxes with lids, but never have it ready to go. Always check your items before shipping.
@@nrivera4380 yeah same it only took one time thinking it was a good idea to completely have them ready to just label and ship out. It was a precious moment. I pick up the box ready to go after it’s sold heard it rattling inside the head popped off could happen to me moving it to just make storage. I know it never fail. I’m not sure how it happened but it happened so I packed them up like if I was going to store them for a long period of time kinda like you with a Christmas ornament, but you can still get to it without having to unravel itas if it was being prepared for shipping
Just curious as a new seller…….how do you list if you don’t already prepackage? You can’t enter the exact weight and box dimensions if you don’t go ahead and prep for shipping. Also how does the buyer know what their actual shipping cost is? Some folks buy taking the cost of shipping into consideration. Thank you for any thoughts on this! 😊
@@navymom1954 I have a very large scale. It’s one that you can weigh a size of a human on, but still fits on the table top. I measure the item try to get it as square as possible, and way the item with an empty box when I’m calculating the weight, I add about 5 ounces to 12 ounces for packing material as paper or bubble. I’m in vintage toy so most of my stuff is action figure so that really don’t take into consideration larger action figures are gonna be 8 ounces or less 112 action figures are gonna be 4 ounces or less, but that is definitely not all I deal in, since the postal scale is 4 ounce 8 oz. 12 ounce 1 pound 1 lbs. 10 oz. 2 pounds two point5 pounds 3 pounds then it’s three to 6 pounds 6 to 10 pounds. The more you do this the more you learn the different cutoffs of weight for pricing now this is just standard USPS pricing increases when I do ship a bigger item with less say UPS, it’s a little different but I only ship items that are 3 pounds + and over 13 x 13 x 13 12 x 12 x 12 USPS still has reasonable shipping cost. It’s when it’s bigger than that. It really starts taking affect but it’s almost getting to where I can pick up an item and get very close on what it weighs for when creating my drafts that way after I take pictures I put it on the scale and it’s super easy just to change or adjust it in anyway and with my AI assistant which not everybody uses, you can put your item on a scale as you’re creating a listing and just tell it what it weighs that when you go to create your listing, just ask your AI to fill information, but that’s far more advanced than what you’re asking any further questions I do reply to everything that I get just let me know And on a further note, you probably already do this. Maybe you don’t depending on your storage situation after you clean your items it’s always a good idea to now. This all depends on the size of the item but if it’s a small breakable item, I buy a whole bunch of bubble wrap bags Not Miller’s. They’re just clear bubble wrap bags. I stole my breakable items in those. I do not mail them out in those. They are far too expensive to do so but you’re going to be always moving around items that are breakable when you’re adding new items to your storage capacity And this keeps them from getting dust dirt or anything else settling on the items while you have them so you do not have to re-clean before shipping out. These bubble bags are for electronics and computer parts if you want to go to Amazon to locate them, but as I said, they’re a little bit of expensive but it will protect your items while you have them stored until they sell, and when the item sales open the bag inspect it and then package it properly for shipping
@@ArockinyardsaleLLC I appreciate your answer!! I’m dealing mostly with stuff I need to find new homes for at this time. My goal is to sell my quilts and sewn gifts……I’ll always stop in a thrift store though! 😂

Due to safety issues anything over 1/2 inch thick has to be taken to the window to ship as a package if you are going to use stamps. Sorry, I have customers that like to mail out stuffed envelopes and the get miffed at me.
If the buyer returns an item as defective or not as described then the seller gets charged for the return postage. If buyer returns item because they changed their mind then the buyer has to pay the return postage.
Do you believe it’s better to just give all the stuff away you bought that should not have or just leave it and try to sell it. It seems so overwhelming
Just every time you upload new listings, download a cvs of all of your listings -- then you can use to check difference -- new would be normal, missing would show up
If you shipped it via UPS GROUND SAVER, It will be returned Via USPS and then you have to pay full price. I asked why this was and they said UPS Ground Saver doesn't have the "free option" for returning an undeliverable item, like USPS Ground/ Priority does.
