    Hainanese Chicken Rice is an iconic term to many of us. A true Singaporean dish, most people would have had a taste of this yummy dish!
    Take it up a notch and we’re up in making chicken rice balls! Yes you got that right, we’ve found the secret to creating good chicken rice, and that’s all about adding a good percentage of glutinous rice to thai jasmine rice for that ideal ratio/balance. The end result is a light and aromatic rice perfect for making rice balls, which taste even better.
    On top of this chicken rice recipe, the other key factor that makes this stand out is the chilli sauce, and we’re quite happy about the mix of chillies, vinegar, and different spices! Not only is this chicken rice balls recipe a tasty one, it’s also made healthier by using less oil while keeping the taste awesome.

    Well done! Really reminded me of the delicious hainanese chicken rice my late great-grandmother and dad cooked for me. The rice is fragrant and savoury enough that one can eat it on its own.... but who can say no to the chicken especially when dipped with ginger or chili sauce...

    how do you eat this meal... do you dip the rice balls in the chili sauce or the sauce is for the chicken?

      you can add the sauce to both the chicken and the rice, same for the chili sauce

    i tried cooking the chicken and it turn out awesome! But do u have any advice if I juz want to cook plain rice (w/o the glutinous rice)? any difference in the instructions? plus i will like my rice to have a stronger taste too...

      yes you can use plain rice too, just that texture out come will be slightly different. For a stronger taste version you can use chicken stock that is further reduced so that is more concentrated.
