They are black and white. Their mom is black and their dad was French

I always loved this song so much! Your title says "they weren't black?" I always considered them to be another great talented black family, so now I had to google. It says their father was of French/Hispanic decent, and their mother was black. Pretty sure they identified as African American (remember, I could be wrong)!
Their father was not Hispanic he was French Canadian
There dad was a full on white man and their mom was a full black woman.
@@Dimitribray1999 I don't know where I got the information that Hispanic was part of his heritage; now all I see is that he was French Canadian. From what I've heard he was a pathetic excuse for a human being, and the words horrendous, appalling, atrocious are the best way to describe him.
Bobby Debarge is the oldest I believe .....they are all siblings. Check out Bobby in "Switch". You'll love it.
They are Legends !! SO horrible the Family dynamics& addictions stopped their ascent to the Mega Stars they should've been. They had it all! Very musically talented, Good looks, Creativity, Dance moves. Not being negative or Hating. Breaks my ❤we only saw them on t.v.& couldn't help them with their home issues.
