I recently bought a 2008 Vette. I though I heard you are suppose to raise one side of the car higher to get all the oil out since the oil drain plug is on the side of the oil pan. Or do you just change it and leave that little bit of old oil in since it's a pain to raise one side higher?
I usually take my floor jack after letting oil drain to lift rear of car level just to get that little extra out thats in the back of pan from the car being angled from being on the ramps.
That was one botched up oil change remember who's watching this to always have a oil filter wrench and to always oil the gasket on the filter which he didn't show 😉and Always use a funnel 😆🤣
Like watching an episode of HeeHaw… It starts off by recommending the wrong oil viscosity - unless you live in an area where it’s minus 27 degrees… Driving up the ramps was circus clown-car act. Anything that happened after that, will remain a mystery to me.
Your channel is my new favorite because I just bought a c6. Wish there were more focused primarily on the c6.
Thank you! And I am working on making more videos for the c6! So stay tuned!
Thanks for watching! be ready for a "what it's like to drive a 511whp corvette" video soon!

I definitely just drain what I can, and add new oil… I try not to be too extra about it and I’ve had no real issues
2009 corvette btw
I have a C6 corvette and I have been using 5w30 Mobile 1 will 10w 30 hurt it?
No, I have used 10w-30 for the entire life of my car. And on the rebuild.. so far so good! Haha
Number one rule is to use what is recommended 5w30 is what the engineers have listed then that's what is used

Definitely not a bad idea, I didn't have my floor jack this day unfortunately haha
I hate they did not put the plug in the back since I use ramps also. Do you get much oil out once you level the car?
@@jimsvo4486 mine doesn't use hardly any oil so I usually get out the same i put in.
Really good advice 👌👍👏
I prefer Amsoil but if I can't find it I use Mobile 1
Yeah Amsoil is best but you have to find a dealer.. my tuner Adam at Aquadale speed shop carries amsoil and I believe he can ship it to you too!
@@Thatsnapchatyellowc6 Yea, he is soon to be my tuner also. Cant wait!
Yeah I remember you saying you were gonna contact him! Heck yeah brother!!🇺🇸
lemme go when u make that vid
We will see if we can work that out haha
💪🏿💪🏿
