Thx for the video. I have the same exact truck (color and options) and loving it. I added the course motorsports secure phone mount with the magsafe phone mount. It's mounted near the trailer brake controller. I just get in the truck and the phone magnetically attaches to the mount and charges. The other option I added are the bed lights from Starkey. If I were to do it again I would use OEM lights and switch and enable it with Forscan. Another option I will be adding soon is the rain sensor. It can be installed in the area behind the rear view mirror. It can also be enabled with Forscan. Another nice option to add to the pro is the adaptive cruise control. It requires the installation of the radar unit/harness along with the left switch that came with your leather steering wheel. If your interested you can look it up in one of the F150 lightning forums. Hope you enjoy your truck as much as I do!
I also put the decal stickers on the "F-150" impress on my truck's tailgate, but I went with matte black decal. My truck is "Stone Grey Metallic", so it's fairly subdued instead of contrasting. I also got a screen protector for my SYNC 4A screen, and I am happy that it works just like a smartphone screen protector but properly shaped and sized to fit, including a cutout for the haptic dial in the bottom-middle of the screen.
14 yrs ago I had a black F-150 - I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ONE🤬 Every tiny bit of dirt shows up on it! I spent all my time trying to keep it clean! My wife had the same F-150 in white & no matter how dirty it got, from 20 feet away it looked perfectly fine. After that, we only buy white F-150’s.
Ya the extended range would have been nice. Especially once I start towing. I just wasn't willing to fork over the extra 30 to 40k they wanted for an xlt ER. A long range pro for around 60 would have been a perfect.
Hi Kurt, I saw in another video you changed added the hood light bar. I have an xlt and would possible like to remove to tint it. I tried with it on the truck and that was a disaster.
The wheel has the heating element but to get it to work there is a lot more you have to do. I believe you have to replace the clockspring, tap into 12v power somewhere behind the dash, and program it through forscan. I may do it in the future.
Prices have changed a lot so take this with a grain of salt. My pro has the tow tech and max tow package. Msrp with destination was about 45k. With tax and registration it came to 51k. I got 7500 from the fed and 2000 back from California. So all in I paid $41,500
@@TrevorNolanFoster Be careful when you remove the factory bolts. Mine were glued in place with threadlocker and they stripped out. I had to drill the heads off to remove. I recommend using a heat gun to heat up the bolts from the backside before removing.
It seems weird that California would issue stickers to place on a vehicle. In Arizona, our HOV lanes are usable for vehicles with 2+ people in them, or alternative fuel, and for that they issue special license plates that indicate alternative fuel. So, my F150 Lightning has the alternative fuel plate that says "blue skies, clean air" and has a blue with white clouds background reserved only for "alternative fuel" (of course, includes EVs).
@@KurtsRPMGarage, I can also renew my registration for up to 5 years. But, that's the registration and tags like one gets in any state. So, Next January I'll pay for the 5-year registration and not have to deal with it until 2029, and I'll save a couple thousand dollars. Does California do something like that?

@@KurtsRPMGarage thank you for this link! I have a 2022 Lightning Pro and I also wondered if this was an option. I also really like the carbon fiber decals. I might get those as well.
@@rudyrod08 the charge port door decals can be a little hard to find sometimes. I almost pulled the trigger on pair from Etsy but before I did they were pulled from the site. A month or so later they reappeared. Keep an eye out if they are not there right when you want them.
Nice truck, I have a similar spec with tow tech + pro power. Do you notice any efficiency loss with 6” running boards and would you buy them again? Is 5” standard for Lightnings? I would really like the lighted OEM Lariat running boards, but they are hard to find and costlier.
@@txxthie I didn’t notice any discernible difference in efficiency with them vs without. I actually looked around for a 5” set (both oem and aftermarket) but couldn’t find anything I liked. The lit lariat steps would be awesome but like you said I’ve never seen a pair for sale.
Thanks. I took delivery of my Lightning last week and you gave me some good ideas
Happy to help!
Thanks. Always enjoy seeing your truck and your efforts to making it an effective tool. 👏

Great add ons.
Nice set of mods. Just got my Lariat and am looking for some upgrades. Thanks for the info.
Nice truck, I have the exact same one minus the tow tech package. I'm really liking mine but could use the long range battery.

That’s exactly what I’m picking up next week, a extended battery long range pro!
@@TrevorNolanFoster you lucky son of a gun.
I have the same spec in white, love my PRO...you know that part number on the oem running boards? Looking for the same set up.
Hi Kurt, I saw in another video you changed added the hood light bar. I have an xlt and would possible like to remove to tint it. I tried with it on the truck and that was a disaster.
Hey ya that should be pretty easy. The removal procedure is pretty much identical to taking off the pros grille.
With the steering wheel upgrade did it add the heated option?

Can you provide me the part number for the tailgate dampener? I’m picking up a Pro next week and would like to order that part. Thank you in advance.

That’s interesting. I think they do it this way so they can kick you out after 3 years. That way the lane doesn’t get get too crowded.
