I can tell you that I like moon drop chu2 more than salnotes zero. Chu2 is more balanced, has good details and bass as well. So overall I like balanced IEMs . Salnotes are a bit flat, bass is low and energy wise it's ok. Probably a bit wider sound stage. Salnotes will be good for people having multiple IEMs or someone who likes to compare sound. Rest it's totally personal preference. 😊👍

If you like to listen to Lossless and Hi res music, then DAC will help. The DAC available on phone is of very low quality. You will be able to experience full potential of the IEM. It's not a must to have, but will definitely enhance the listening experience.
This is balanced with good bass, the castor is a bit fine and with the switch you can add bass also but it's inconvenient. Switch is not easy to use. Both have good sound quality

Always keep IEMs away from moisture. My edx pro's sound quality was reducing over time and it stopped working. Due to moisture damaging the copper wires

Buds 2 pro is good enough, if you want to experience high res apple music then a DAC plus IEM will have a slight edge in certain situations. It will be more like an experience, if you just want to buy one IEM then it's not recommended to invest in 2000 rupees, better to continue with buds pro. If you want to invest in high end IEM in future then you can try for experience.
