It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.
So happy to hear the 1st ones better for longer hair. I bought the first one just in the last couple weeks and then of course another new one comes out! I just had a surgery for double mastectomy and it’s been hard styling my hair like before and this blower brush helped soo much. ✨ Girlz PLZ stay on top of your breast health!! DO NOT WAIT TILL 40 FOR A MAMMOGRAM! ESP if you have lumps or concerns! Trust me at 35 I can attest it happens you get then 40s✨ It has made styling my hair much quicker and less work yet looks better! I’m having less damage and after my treatments my hairs improving greatly instead of just repairing heat damage like before. I love how the next day after styling about 5 min just re going over what I did the day before adds the volume and curls the ends without having to completely wet and restyle it altogether. Your last video sent me scrambling to Amazon and now I’m glad I don’t feel I need to upgrade so soon because the features are way better 😀
I hope ur recovery goes well! Thank u for the PSA. I'm 42 and have no idea what my family's medical history is, so ur advice really comes at the perfect time for me. Sending positive vibes ur way for a speedy recovery and future good health 💞
“They could be literally putting a torch on the hair and saying ‘It’s 50% better than putting a torch in your hair!’…like, ok, thanks Revlon.” CRACKED ME UP. 😂
I bought the original and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been able to do the whole hold the dryer in one hand and brush in the other. I’m not coordinated like that lol So this thing has been a lifesaver
same. I've been wearing my hair curly 90% of the time, the other 10% is I go to the salon for a dry out. Although I prefer to wear my hair straight but the straightening iron makes my hair look dead, zero volume and character. And trying dry out at home was sooooo complicated because of the coordination lol. I'm thinking of buying the revlon.
Hi, professional hairstylist of 26 years here. It’s worth noting, if ppl are worried about burning their hair, and considering how hot you mention these brushes get in the video, I would be leaning towards the older model with ceramic instead of titanium barrel. Titanium is a metal and is a conductive heat, which singes the hair as it heats the outside cuticle of the follicle. Ceramic on the other hand is a radiant heat, and tends to heat the hair more gently from the inside out.
You are 100% correct! The first few blowouts come out amazing!! But then…. Holy shit!! It burns your hair horribly! After a while you will notice all the bristles are shorten and completely burnt down. Where in the begging of purchasing this blower you will notice the bristles are nice long and fluffy. After a while, they will be gone and completely melted lol now I think about with that does to your hair.
@@gtradventures1464 omg this is your experience?... I just bought this as a christmas present and now i am thinking about just walking back into the store.
For the Type 4 hair folks: if you have fine strands, I do *not* recommend the high heat setting for this dryer. 1) it gets hot, hot, so definitely use heat protectant even if using the cool setting, and 2) that high heat setting is not the best for fine fragile strands, imho. If you have coarse strands (a larger strand diameter) then maybe your hair can handle that high heat setting, but I’d start with the medium heat setting first. Tip: That 2nd mannequin had a silkier, wavy, not coily hair pattern so keep that in mind as looser wave & curl patterns straighten differently. I have fine, fragile type 4 hair that’s low to medium density-meaning when straightened, the diameter of my ponytail is only 1”-and it doesn’t require a lot of heat; I start with heat protectant on really damp hair and only use the medium heat setting with this dryer, and then do one pass with the Remington Pearl pro flat iron (on 360° to 380°), and my hair ends up looking just like the first mannequin’s 1st results. I’ve used the high heat setting *after* hair was already dried using the medium heat to achieve a textured blow out rather than bone straight hair with a flat iron. Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.
I’m not a professional, however I’ve been natural on and off my whole life. Stopped chemical relaxing back in 1996 then stopped again for good in 2004 after becoming pregnant. It’s a learning process, so what’s the point of making mistakes if I & others don’t learn from them 😉 but if possible definitely consult knowledgeable professionals who are trained and specialize in natural hair care.
Love you Brad.. You gave me the confidence to set up my skincare channel and now i have 60k subscribers.. Honestly wouldn't have been possible without you and i love your content.. Love you x
I think I'm using the older version like from last year. I'm disabled and I can't do the brush and dryer thing because of my left arm. I used to just blow dry my hair upside down because I only needed one hand and then I would spend over 2 hours straightening it with help sometimes if my pain was really bad. My hairstylist recommended the Revlon dryer to me because of her other clients. It has literally saved me. I can now dry my hair with my good arm (yes it takes a bit longer) but I look like I just walked out of the salon. Thank you Revlon. And all the people who recommend it. I no longer have to look like a slob everyday. I already feel like one being disabled. At least now I can look somewhat presentable ❤❤
Hey, just wanted to chime in. I also can only use one arm to dry and for years have been using the CONAIR® 1875 WATT 3-IN-1 DRYER. I’d recommend trying it since it can be used without flipping upside down. I also find I get a smoother blowout with it than with this revlon, faster too. It’s pretty cheap and I replace at least twice a year but because I can’t use both arms for a smooth blowout this is the price I pay. Good luck!!
I’ve used the original for about 4 years- L.O.V.E. It. ✨ TIPS✨ -Don’t use it on soaking wet hair. Make sure your hair is at least 70% dry. -Start with the bottom and work your way up. -Work in small sections. -Continuously turn and pull the dryer so there is always tension on the hair- that’s what straightens it. -Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry. -If you want more volume, pull the dryer straight upward. If you want bouncy ends, pull the dryer out to the sides. 🔮 Your hair will be beautiful! 🔮
@@coopercoates8809 when I blow dry my hair, I always wait until it's damp to start blow drying as your hair is very fragile when wet. I leave it in a microfiber towel for a bit (or you can scrunch it gently) before blow drying. I imagine that's what you would do here💞
I had the original and just bought the new version. My hair is above the shoulder and I get much better volume and bend with the new one. It's also lighter weight, so I find it easier to use. I think for shorter hair, newer is the way to go.
OMG I love how you're low key roasting all the claims on the box! I always ask the same questions. Random claims are so empty and I hate them. 👏👏👏 I want the juicy data already!
The original is my favorite hair tool ever, I’ve been using it since it came out. My hair has gotten healthier (previously used a regular straightener religiously lol). I also have long hair and ALOT of it, my hairdresser is always amazed, every time haha. I really want to try this new one though because it looks a lot smaller in size.
I have a lot of hair too and long but when I used the original it left my hair freezy and a lot of volume which is the opposite of what Iwanted.. Does it leave your hair slick straight? Or would Ineed a straightner for that?
@@bbygrlpt2 I usually use it to blow dry it straight but still use a straightener for the sleek look. I just need less heat since it’s already mostly straight. I also use the sleek it straight heat protectant by L’oreal Paris which is the BEST thing I’ve ever put on my hair!!
Best blow dryer I've ever had. My hair is curly and down to my bum. The larger one is what I've owned for a year now and it truly takes half the time to do my hair and I don't need to bother with a flat iron anymore! Love it!
So I have been binge watching your videos for the past week or so due to being under quarantine for covid. It has made my days a little less miserable. So thank you.
For those saying these revlon dry brushes are to hot! I agree I just bought conair the knot dr brush and its so much better ! Love it just make sure ur hair is 70-80 percent dry then use it :)
I have 3a/3b hair type and I love the original version of the tool! I used to NEVER blow out my own hair because of the difficulty with a tool and blow dryer but now this made it so easy for me to do my own hair. I keep it on the lower setting so the damage isn't quite as bad with plenty of heat protectant and I feel like my hair comes out smooth and soft and my ends aren't fried!
I recently purchased the older version. It was actually $25 less than the newer one, at my target. I’ve been loving it so far. I have medium length hair, dense and wavy hair.
I have a lot of hair, it's long with a wavy texture and I can honestly say that this revlon hair dryer (the older version) is one of the best things I have ever tried and I cannot live without it! It has made my life so much easier! However, if you have fine or/and straight hair it wouldn't really do much more for you than a regular hairdryer and a brush!
How will you say your hair is now ? I had the older one and after about a month I noticed my length was so uneven (I had trimmed it just before getting this tool) I have naturally big curls / waves and waist length hair that’s pretty fine . It totally ruined my ends
I have thin and strait hair, and definitely prefer using this to a dryer and a brush. Everything goes faster and smoother with it. I would recommend for thin strait hair based on my own experience.
@@shutzzzzzz I bend over and dry my hair upside down about 95%. I finish the job upright after it's mostly dry. Then after it's dry, I change the setting to cool, and slowly go over sections and smooth them like a round brush would do.
My hair is very stubborn and tends to be super dry so my waves never looked pretty and defined and I just couldn't achieve a nice blowout with a round brush so I bought this brush (the old version) a while ago and let me tell you for me that was the best investment I ever made. Haven't touched my straightener ever since I bought this, it's super easy to handle imo and I personally didn't notice any heat damage since I started using this. So if you're struggling with your hair like I did this is definitely worth a try. I'm super happy with it
I have been using this brush dryer since February 2019. For the last year or so, I have been experiencing breakage and never ending frizz with crazy dry ends. It has taken some time for me to narrow down the cause. I changed my heat protectants (I use two, to cover all of the bases). I use expensive, bond repairing shampoo, conditioner and leave-ins. Finally, I took a look at this dryer and realized how hot it was getting, even on low and medium. Also, it kept snagging my hair. So, i skipped it and went back to my old dryer. Much less frizz, & less dry, rough ends. I could not believe that I have been recking my hair all this time with this crappy brush dryer!! Now I have to trim the damage and continue bond repair so that it can bounce back. But at least I now know what caused it. Since my hair was thick, strong to begin with and is still a good length I'm not too pissed off.
I'm waiting for Brad to release a hair tool line for us. I'm sure it would be affordable. And he'd have the expertise to make it better than the ones that give you "you need this, and these and this" he'd find a way to make an automatic curler. That you could adjust to the curls you want. Lol. I have faith in our beautiful human lol
I have this product. I don't use it very often because I find there's just too much heat damage even using on low and with a heat protectant spray. It's good to use once in awhile when you have somewhere special to be but not for daily use
Thanks so much for this! I have the original and wasn't sure if I should go out and replace it. I have long wavy hair and I'm so glad to hear it's unnecessary to replace it.
I have naturally frizzy type 2C/3A hair. I recently bought this hair dryer, and I only put heat protector on my hair before use. No other product. And my hair is amazingly smooth, soft, and silky. Usually I would put a bit of Argan oil to ease down the frizz, but I didn't need to with this blow dryer! It's the next day right now and my hair is still not frizz, still with zero other product. So for my hair type, I don't think I need to put any product when using this hair dryer. Mind you, my hair is weird. When it's curly, it's dry and drinks up all the moisture it can find; however, when it's straight, it becomes oily and any other product will weigh the hair down. This hair dryer basically helps my hair get that volume I have been looking for whenever I wanted to wear my hair straight. This project gave me amazing results that my mom kept the hair dryer for herself and now I had to buy another one lol.
My hair sounds almost identical to yours. Dry when it's curly, but gets oily at my scalp very quickly when I wear it straight. I let my hair go grey about 7 years ago now, so I wonder how it would do on uncoloured/natural hair. My hair is fine, but I have a ton of it. I think I may have to buy it just to try it out. :)
Hi Brad. I was telling someone that I went to hairdressing school in 84-85 and the things that have come out not since I went to school but in the last 10 years. We never had a heat protector or a styling with blow drying all in one. First we blew it out then a curling iron if they wanted any kind of curl. Also the prices were so much less then today. We had to buy everything including hairspray for school. It wasn't cheap to go to school and we had to provide EVERYTHING. It still amazes me that the schools do not provide anything. After changing careers I went to work for a casino and they provided everything for Blackjack school. Thank you for sharing
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this comparison review! I purchased the plus version (in pink) on ulta's website last night for in store pickup. I'm half way through doing my whole head of thick coarse shoulder length hair and I'm IN LOVE! I had watched a couple other reviews and then saw this one and said "ok, I know I can trust Brad Mondo." So, I bought it. SO MUCH EASIER than doing my hair myself with a round brush and dryer! Now I need to go buy some Brad Mondo hair products to replace the "other" thermal protectant.
I was happy to get the older one at Costco, and after seeing your video comparison I'm still glad. Thank you for showing how the older one is good for long hair so I don't feel bad about missing out on the new features.
I bought the older style late 2021 and paid $50 Canadian and love it. I use it on low heat which works well even though I have thick long wavy hair. I also use it to dry my hair which does it much faster than my blow dryer. I find the low heat versus high heat on mine is vastly different and the only time I use it on high is when my hair is quite wet and only for the first few minutes. As far as curl goes, the old style actually does well at giving the bottom a curve.
@@michelleg5679 Just like a regular hairbrush- use a wide-tooth comb to remove loose hair, then swish the bristle end in a sink/bowl of soapy water and rinse, but make sure to dip only the brush itself, not the handle. Easy peasy, no need for a removable handle.
If you dont mind me asking how long have you had the old one and how much do u use it? Im so confused by the amazon reviews, a lot of people say it gives out after a few uses! I want to get the older one bc i have long hair
@@TheLstark hi! I have the older one and it works great! I’ve had it for over a year and use it about 2-3 a month since I mostly leave my hair natural and curly. However I got mine at target because sometimes amazon can be kinda sketchy lol. Hope that helps!
@@TheLstark ok, so I honestly couldn't remember when I bought it, so I looked for my email. I bought it January 2020, which means I've had it longer than I realized. The original one only has the 2 speeds; one that is high and super hot and the low to me doesn't have near enough of heat or air to work on my hair. My hair is a combo of 2b and 3a, but very, very thick (I'm Caucasian, I didn't know if that would be helpful info 😊); so much so, that I use my regular dryer to get the heavy wetness out before using the volumizer. But I would say my dry time is 6-7 minutes. But since it's a bob (my bottom layer is about one inch long at the back of my neck), I don't bother sectioning unless I get a wild hair (pun intended 😉). Overall, I would think that the bigger brush would work better for longer hair, to get more root lift. If you have any other questions, I'll answer the best I can 😊
My sisters has cerebral palsy and can only use 1 hand when doing her hair. She got this brush and it was lifechanging for her since she never would have been able to blowout in a traditional sense.
Hi! So back in 2002-2003 I used an earlier version of that. I loved it! It was blue and from Revlon. There were two different size brushes with it. I’m not sure if they still have it, but Im telling, it worked miracles!!
Thank you for using more than one hair type! My hair is fine like the first mannequin, but has a texture similar to the second. This gives me a pretty good approximation of how it would handle my hair.
I just purchased the "old one" for $28. I cut 4" off, the length is 3" past my shoulder. If I'm not doing anything in particular, I let it naturally dry and I have curly hair. If I'm going out, I blow dry & use a flat iron. It's starting to annoy me as to how long it's taking me to do my hair, which is why I started looking for the Revlon brush hoping to get my hair done faster. I usually air dry while putting in my makeup. So I wasn't sure of the job it was going to do. I used mousse and a protectant. My hair was completed within 5 minutes. Straightened my hair & it had volume. The next time I tried the brush, I used the same products, but decided to style it while my hair was still completely wet. My hair had a lot more volume, looked shinier, and had more bounce. It may have taken me 7 minutes tops. The next day I was able to go out without having to do anything other than brush my hair. My hair I dried from wet looked much better. I won't use it every day just to save my hair from being damaged, but I do love it, it's easier & faster than the flat iron. Also it took me this long to buy it since I'm not into spending money on gimmicks. Totally worth it!
Ugh I just bought the old one after seeing your video. I love it. It's the best thing I've ever tried. I have very thick course curly hair and it takes me 2 hours to straighten and this has made it easier and faster and makes my hair so shiny and silky
This was so helpful! The older version is on sale for $38 at Target right now and I was on the fence on whether to "splurge" for the newer one or basically pay half for the original. Buying the original, thanks! Also, would love for you to compare this to the Dyson Airwrap like you mentioned!
Hoping the removable head means they’ll offer replacement heads. I’m on my second one because my thick course hair wore out the brush bristles after a year. Most were flattened down and stopped gripping my hair as well.
Same thing happened to me. I called to see if they could send me a new brush head and found out it has a 2 or 3 year warranty. She sent me a brand new one.
Thank you Brad, I enjoyed this video and I bought the old version of the Revlon blow dryer thingy. I have wavy kinky curly hair and it's long past my shoulders and it worked like a charm, better than a blow dryer and round brush. thank you again. I should mention I also used your forcefield product and electric rain too ❤
I bought the first one in beginning of 2020 and it only lasted me 3 months then it just died. But I made a lot of mistakes. I used it almost everyday with my hair fully wet and it was always on high. It even burned off a small chunk/strand of my hair but after learning more I realized -I did this to myself. I loved it because of how easy it was to use and I only needed one tool. Im gonna buy this new one and be more careful and obviously not try to do my hair daily. Sorry hair😳
What hair dryer brush (other than Revlon) would you recommend for super fragile, fine hair? It sounds like both Revlon products have the potential to "fry" your hair since there isn't much difference in heat settings.
Use ear plugs! This is a loud hair dryer. With that said it is a good tool. I Have the original version and it is big. I have to use two hands to hold it. Perhaps that is a good reason to think about getting the new version at some point. Thanks for the review Brad.
I have a really old version of this from before it went viral(like 7 years maybe lol)and I stopped using it because my hair is too short right now. Definitely interested in getting this newer model!
I always love your comparison videos you say it as it is ... no fluff. This product is in my price range and the new model is on my Christmas list from me🤗. Stay safe stay well x
I know I’m late to this wonderful new tool however, I just purchased the older model and love it. I have issues with my hands following the Rona and could no longer use two hands to blowout my hair. I love this tool. ❤️
I have the first one BUT I bought the short/medium hair version so it had the barrel of the new. And I found it 45% off…basically a really good deal ! I often put my hair in a big clip while they cool down to avoid them catching moisture and losing the blowout. It’s rare but when you do this in the bathroom after a shower, it happens. But HELL THIS IS A LIFE SAVER ! I know how to do my blowout but this brush helps me a lot, I have a free hand and I can use it to guide my hair a lot better than the usual blowout I do. *Less time consuming too so less damage on your hair* 👍👍
I watch your videos all the time and just got this blow dryer after watching this video. This is fabulous! My son is 6 and has very long hair it worked great on his hair he loved how it didn’t get to hot on his head. For me it worked just as well!
I've been using the, Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer Titanium Max Edition for well over a year, and I like it so much better than the original version. The barrel is different.
I have a Revlon dryer brush that rotates. It’s 8ish years old, and I really love it. It rotates clockwise and counterclockwise to get all the hair curled under or flipped out. The barrel is plastic, but it gets hot enough. I have been giving myself salon quality blowouts Duchess Catherine would be proud of. I even grew my hair out for the first time since I was a kid because I could style it so well. I haven’t seen the brush often online so I guess it didn’t sell well or something. Babybliss makes a titanium rotating one which I’m going to get when mine gives up the ghost. I have been a huge fan of blow dry brushes since the 90s. They work really well for shorter hair and give you a lot of volume. I’m left handed and can not blow dry my hair with a round brush. The last time my dryer brush died I bought the rotating brush and fell in love with it. Even my hair stylist was blown away by my blowout that was 3 days old when I last saw her. I love how the rotation gives you tension and smooths the hair. The different directions let you get lots of volume and shine. I use a regular dryer and get my hair about 1/3rd of the way dry then section off my hair and use the dryer brush. I also use Oribe Royal Blowout before blow drying and and Oribe Dry Texture spray at the end. I’m a huge fan of Oribe styling products. They’re excellent and smell divine. I’ve never found a perfume I love as much (Oribe’s perfume is more musky than the hair care products)
I have the original and it was so great that i used it every week and then fried my hair. I am glad to see they did more settings, I just wish there was a warm setting, cause the hot literally made my hair smoke and my bathroom got smokey.
You’re so right about those percentages…it’s a huge marketing scheme. For example, they will ask a group of stylists if they recommend several hair tools and then say 80% of of the stylists recommend one like it’s superior to the others. Plus they use a tiny, tiny sample group.
I’d love to see the old one compared to the Dyson AirWrap. I’ve been thinking about getting the Dyson and I currently have the old Revlon one, but it’s a BIG price jump.
I have the revlon and my housemate has the dyson and honestly… I don’t like it. Im really good with hair and I just couldn’t make it work like revlon / a curler. It’s expensive as hell so if you can’t afford to throw away £500 don’t bother lol
I'd love to see a comparison with some of the other lower cost versions of this if you ever do one vs the Dyson! I have fine hair and use the John Frieda/Conair Infinite Pro one bc it's smaller and gets a little less hot, but as my hair grows out I've been wondering if the Revlon would be a good investment!
I have the old paddle type Revlon dryer and useit on one of my residents who has thin hair from chemotherapy and age and I think her hair has more volume when I do it
Can you compare this to one of the brands that have a similar product at like $150+ (I think drybar is one of them) I'm curious if the expensive ones are actually any better
The Amika is so much better. Revlon is not professional. I used the Amika and my hair came out like silk. Amika has the kit on their website for $99 and you get their full size dry shampoo and detangler. For $30 more, you get 2 free products and you are using a professional product.
@@lindakoberna3465 very good to know. I know I won't buy this Revlon one. I had a regular dryer by them and hated it but also don't want to waste money on a stupid expensive one lol
The Hot Tools (small head) air brush is my absolute favorite! I have medium length hair and it just makes the hair much more silky smooth than my Revlon hair volumizer.
I use the “old one” 1-2 times per week. I have thick wavy hair and it saves me so much time. I may get the new one also. I think if I used it Everyday I would damage my hair.
I was in awe when the older version came into my life. I have so much hair like 3 heads, thick long hair and it’s also wavy. I used to take an hour w the straightener, this brush takes me 20-25 min. It’s God sent. I use it on high heat and I have alot less damage than w the straightener but this is only because I have thick hair , would not recommend high heat on thin hair girl.
Hi, I work for an electronic manufacturer. Deionizers remove positive or negatively charged ions usually in the air but in this application the hair as well, for this it is to reduce static which then increases shine.
Thanks for this. I purchased the old one over a year ago, so it's good to know I don't need to replace it if I'm happy with it, although I like the fact this one has a removable brush head. I wonder if Revlon will release other attachments in the future...
Its 2am i just got off work from tacbell had to watch this love you.i us Revlon box dye i love it its not to bad i had a Revlon straightener on time kinda worked but its ok brand
I could have used this video two days ago when a customer was screaming at me asking what the differences were and why one was $70. I was just like the new one has a bigger motor 🤷🏼♀️
It would be great if they included like 3 different brush sizes since it’s removable. A smaller one, then the new one as the medium size, then one that’s somewhat larger than the original. Having the snap-on head is great for storage, travel, and cleaning, but not including multiple sizes in the plus is a missed opportunity to me.
i agree with this wholeheartedly
They're probably going to come out with them but charge for it.
i bet they’ll come out with different brush sizes
Hot Tools has one that has interchangeable brushes
Plus an attachment for making grilled cheese

I bought the original and it’s honestly one of the best purchases I’ve made in my life. I’ve never been able to do the whole hold the dryer in one hand and brush in the other. I’m not coordinated like that lol So this thing has been a lifesaver
My arms just kept getting so tired! Lol I love this thing!
Couldn’t agree more! Love it so much , amazing for extensions xx
Same. Not coordinated enough to do dryer in one hand and brush in the other
Exactly
Can't you use cold air to brush out?
What is better tho i rly want one but not sure what one to get
You are 100% correct!
Btw: I have the ceramic version (the older dryer) and my “combination hair” is mid-back length, with 45% to 50% shrinkage rate.
question. i have really fine thin hair would the old one work better on me? my hair is also really long.
Thank you for taking your time and sharing all this. God bless you❤️
you're so knowledgeable. this was very helpful, thank you
Yeeesss I feel like the older version did so much damage to my hair. And my friend had a bad experience with it too. But nobody talks about it.
Love you x
Plus one more … 🙂
make that two more 😊
Omg hey fancy seeing you here! I love both your channels! ❤️

Literally never gave a crap about my hair until I found Brad Mondo! Now I'm watching all his videos! I ADORE HIM!!!!
I also can only use one arm to dry and for years have been using the CONAIR®
1875 WATT 3-IN-1 DRYER.
It. ✨ TIPS✨
-Don’t use it on soaking wet hair.
So you still need to blow dry it to 70%? That defeats it being an all on one if need another hair dryer
@@coopercoates8809 wait for it to air drya little, it's what i do
P
What do you mean by 'Keep going past the point of your hair feeling dry'?
@@coopercoates8809 when I blow dry my hair, I always wait until it's damp to start blow drying as your hair is very fragile when wet. I leave it in a microfiber towel for a bit (or you can scrunch it gently) before blow drying. I imagine that's what you would do here💞
I used to have a blouse like Brad's in the 90s black, red and olive. I want one again now.
I had the original and just bought the new version. My hair is above the shoulder and I get much better volume and bend with the new one. It's also lighter weight, so I find it easier to use. I think for shorter hair, newer is the way to go.
That's why I bought the new one also. I just cut my hair shorter and the old brush is too large now for my hair.
OMG I love how you're low key roasting all the claims on the box! I always ask the same questions. Random claims are so empty and I hate them. 👏👏👏 I want the juicy data already!
When he says ‘hi beautiful’ it just makes my day
Same 💖
Honesty haven’t ever miss one of his videos and he inspired me to go to cosmetology school ❤️so thanks man ☝️
The original is my favorite hair tool ever, I’ve been using it since it came out. My hair has gotten healthier (previously used a regular straightener religiously lol). I also have long hair and ALOT of it, my hairdresser is always amazed, every time haha. I really want to try this new one though because it looks a lot smaller in size.
I’ve recently gotten the original one. Quick question, how do you clean yours?? Since the original doesn’t detach.
Waiting for this comment, with my 3B. Does it work for you? Do you straighten or eventually curl your hair with this tool?
I'm wondering with the barrel being removable if they are going to come out with different attachments.
Yassssss🙌🏽🙌🏽 the way you include black women makes my life.
But does it leave your hair slick straight??
@@feebee5557 what do you use for volume?
I'm super happy with it
Living my best hair life vicariously through Brad. I always look forward to your uploads.
Ha ha, far easier than having to actually DEAL with hair and too much of it!
Yes!!!
Why would it be affordable when his products are all pretty expensive?

..... He may bt it's not gonna be affordable hon.
Oh gosh, I hope not. Too many products out there already.
Please do a comparison on the Revlon vs Dyson Airwrap!! I would love to see the difference
Wait which one? The old one or new one?
YES im so happy you did it on curly hair you can see how curly hair holds onto body and volume so much easier than straight hair
"I like things that are smaller.. for hair" 😏😉 same brad, same 😌
The new one is at Costco for $40, just a heads up to everyone
Thank you!
It's not the same one!
@@violetann3156 oh man:( it’s okay, I picked it up at ulta. Thank you though!
I saw it at Marshall’s for $35 I believe. 🙂
@@violetann3156 really? it looked the exact same. Box and all. That sucks
Im so excited that this one has a removable head for cleaning. Cleaning my old one is such a pain in the ass.
An opinion from a person who used this, were you included in those random statistics on the box lol
How am I supposed to clean it?
@@michelleg5679 Just like a regular hairbrush- use a wide-tooth comb to remove loose hair, then swish the bristle end in a sink/bowl of soapy water and rinse, but make sure to dip only the brush itself, not the handle. Easy peasy, no need for a removable handle.
So excited! I didn't realize the new one would have a smaller barrel. I have a bob and have the original, but really needed the smaller one!
If you have any other questions, I'll answer the best I can 😊
@@rachel18 that does help thank you!
@@crossplainschic thanks so much! That is very helpful:)
I'm supposed to be doing college homework ...yet I'm here Binge watching Brad Mondo 🤷🏼♀️I'm not upset. Graduation in December 😌❤️
Congrats on making it out of uni alive ✨🙌🏼
I am glad that you did it on different textures.
I love my Revlon blow out styling brush, I got the original in purple. It is the only reason I can do a blow out on my hair myself. LOVE IT!!
Love that you did different types of hair. Thank you for considering!!
Marshall’s and TJ Max have older version $34
Hoping the removable head means they’ll offer replacement heads. I’m on my second one because my thick course hair wore out the brush bristles after a year. Most were flattened down and stopped gripping my hair as well.
Same thing happened to me. I called to see if they could send me a new brush head and found out it has a 2 or 3 year warranty. She sent me a brand new one.
@@tiffanywiggins8534 thanks that's good to know
Thank you Brad, I enjoyed this video and I bought the old version of the Revlon blow dryer thingy.
Sorry hair😳
I like to blast dry 70-80% with a regular dryer then use the brush to finish
I only use it on the lowest setting with Olaplex #6 end it makes my hair look and feel amazing!
What hair dryer brush (other than Revlon) would you recommend for super fragile, fine hair? It sounds like both Revlon products have the potential to "fry" your hair since there isn't much difference in heat settings.
Had the same problem and went for the Remington Hydraluxe. Here you can chose heat and air flow separately. Works great for me!
I'm half black half white with very curly hair. I love this product so much I could cry.
Use ear plugs! This is a loud hair dryer. With that said it is a good tool. I Have the original version and it is big. I have to use two hands to hold it. Perhaps that is a good reason to think about getting the new version at some point. Thanks for the review Brad.
I love mine so much! I have half my head shaved, and the amount of volume it gives me is amazing!
I have a really old version of this from before it went viral(like 7 years maybe lol)and I stopped using it because my hair is too short right now. Definitely interested in getting this newer model!
I love just Brad- his bright and bubbly soul is just so refreshing. He always puts a smile on my face- stay beautiful, u beautiful u!!! xoxoxoxo!!
I always love your comparison videos you say it as it is ... no fluff. This product is in my price range and the new model is on my Christmas list from me🤗.
Stay safe stay well x
I have the old revlon one step model. It works really well on my natural hair
I have the original, such a big fan! When she breaks down I’ll probably upgrade to the newer version
I bought this. I loved it. I had it for a month. It shorted out abd caught on fire. In my hand. I’m using my old one again.
I really like the fact that the new one comes off for easier packing when traveling.
I know I’m late to this wonderful new tool however, I just purchased the older model and love it. I have issues with my hands following the Rona and could no longer use two hands to blowout my hair. I love this tool. ❤️
I’ve been wondering a long time about these brushes. This was very helpful. Thank you so much!
I love Brad Mondo! how does he give all the facts and still manage to be so hilarious?! :)
Thank you for including kinky/coils textures ❤️❤️❤️
I watch your videos all the time and just got this blow dryer after watching this video. This is fabulous! My son is 6 and has very long hair it worked great on his hair he loved how it didn’t get to hot on his head. For me it worked just as well!
I have the old one on my list for Christmas and I was just about to send it so I’m interested in seeing if this one’s better
Phew I don’t have to buy another piece of equipment…as the old one is good for long hair…I love mine 💕
As always, thank you for your insight and added bonus of your sass! You're my fav! 💃💕
I have the original and it was so great that i used it every week and then fried my hair. I am glad to see they did more settings, I just wish there was a warm setting, cause the hot literally made my hair smoke and my bathroom got smokey.
I only use the low setting.
Don't know how much it helps but I always use a heat protection spray before blow drying with this. Maybe try that.
Brad, you are exactly what I need after a long day! Always a mood booster!!!
You’re so right about those percentages…it’s a huge marketing scheme. For example, they will ask a group of stylists if they recommend several hair tools and then say 80% of of the stylists recommend one like it’s superior to the others. Plus they use a tiny, tiny sample group.
I just bought the older one on sale yesterday after talking to another woman who used it. Yup, already love it.
I really want one of those Imma have to get one that's for sure I hope you have a fabulous day brad
Every video ‘hi beautiful’.
Me watching, 39 weeks pregnant with hair that has been living in a bun for so long now it’s forgotten what styled is.
Thanks! Was always wondering about these. I have naturally curly hair (Caucasian) and a straightener takes forever! You're the best. 😊
Revlon always brings it
And they have great products
I personally like their make up and nail polish
The hair products are amazing as well
they make great eyeliners, soft pencils
I really like your honest reviews.
I have the old paddle type Revlon dryer and useit on one of my residents who has thin hair from chemotherapy and age and I think her hair has more volume when I do it
I find you so entertaining Brad.. I love all your videos. Thanks all the way from South Africa 🤗 💕
Can you compare this to one of the brands that have a similar product at like $150+ (I think drybar is one of them) I'm curious if the expensive ones are actually any better
Yes, and the new t3. I want to try the t3 because it has more settings and a smaller head since I’ve cut my hair short.
I made of the same comment that I want to see compared to the 151 from drybar and the $99 one from Amika
I have a pixie cut so obviously I’m here because I just love watching brad mondo 😂 🙌🏻
I use the “old one” 1-2 times per week. I have thick wavy hair and it saves me so much time. I may get the new one also. I think if I used it Everyday I would damage my hair.
Thank you Brad! Your review was so helpful. To the store I go 💃🏻
I was in awe when the older version came into my life.

I could have used this video two days ago when a customer was screaming at me asking what the differences were and why one was $70. I was just like the new one has a bigger motor 🤷🏼♀️
