The plus has a more intense heat ithat will fry your hair faster though I liked the fact the plus model has a detachable brush and is a little bit more quiete than the original
Target accidentally shipped me the older model, and when I called to complain they just let me keep it. The high setting was too hot (my hair was smoking and touching my hair after using it hurt my fingers!) I got the newer model at Ulta, and the medium setting gives you lower heat, but the same volume of air. So it dries your hair quickly without frying it. Definitely worth the extra price not to damage your hair.
I tried your technique and keep in mind my hair is long and extremely thick usually takes an hour now it takes 15 min to create blowout I am in love with plus version 😊
I think the original side looks smoother and more shinny. That is just my personal opinion. Thank you for sharing this video.
The original side is smoother. I could still see (although slight) the deep waves on the side where you used the new one. Love my Hot Tools, would never switch.
@P Sindi no I agree, when the light shines a certain way on her hair, you can still see the waves. This is because she rushed through that section it looked like

Hon, you mentioned heat damage on your hair, so I'm gonna share a few rules that you might wanna follow to minimize that: 1. Spray heat protectant on each individual strand, as you dry it (rule of thumb is 1 spray on every 6 inches of hair) and then spread it with a brush through each section (it might take a little more time, but it'll be worth it for your hair health). 2. Each time you run the tool through the strand of hair check if the hair is hot - as soon as it starts getting hot, that's when the damage occurs. Once the strand is hot, that means the hair is dry and if you continue drying it, you will be causing damage. 3. Don't use heat on your hair for at least 3 days. If you can go once per week, that would be great. Lastly, good basic hair care (what shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner and hair oil you use) is the number one thing that's gonna determine the health of your hair. Hope this helps, let me know if you try those out

I have curly hair in the back of my head. What I do with the original is let my hair dry about 80%, use high heat and then use the cool setting to finish drying bc the hair still is hot but the blower blows more air on the cool setting.
Thank you for this video. I did not know there was a new version and just got the old version. The smaller barrel seems much easier to use but I prefer the results on the side you used the old one
Hy Julissa. I Love watching your videos so much. Right now i am so stressed out. watching your videos relax me so much. You always have a positive attitude and i love it. Julissa hi! I got mine by chance on Saturday… I’m in love I did my whole hair in 12 minutes, and I have long down the shoulders curly like yours, medium heat and day 4 still going strong… I had the original and returned it because it was too hot and too loud. This one is awesome.. highly recomendedy
This looks like it would be great for ppl with shorter hair! I have the hot tools brush and it's just too big to get the roots properly, so my hair winds up reverting unless I use a flatiron. I would love a video on tips to KEEP hair straight, mine wants to curl up no matter what I do lol
ive been subscribed to you for years and i LOVE these videos, if you only blow dry your hair for your youtube career i would not ever complain. can you do a hair care storage and hair tools storage video? i think that would be dope bc you are the blow out queen.

I feel like i noticed a slight wave on the plus side versus the original side. I like that the plus is thinner but i feel like since i have a lot of hair i prefer the larger brush 😅 thanks for the comparison on these two!

20 mins for one side 😳 I have the same hair and longer but I only focus on blowing out the wet section and not blowing everything out that has already been dried. Excited to get the plus !!
Glad to see this test. I just bought the original and the brush seems too big. I'm going to order the smaller and try it out. I want a bit more curl so maybe the smaller brush will be better. Thanks for this review!!!
Hi Julissa! Creo eres la primera en hacer la comparación aquí en UA-cam, justo ayer compré el mío y entre aquí haber si habían hecho algún vídeo, y no encontré nada, gracias! esperaba con ansias esto. Amo tus vídeos 💞
I can see some waves on both sides but for how curly your hair is naturally, I imagine it would be really hard to get it completely straight without an actual straightening iron. I don’t believe the original did a better job it just had less hair and curls to work with. The Plus side has more hair and curls as you stated in the video so overall I agree the Plus would be my pick too, it’s smaller and looks easier to handle.
I'm sorry hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I see A LOT of crinkle waves on the side with the new dryer, opposed to the side that was dried with the Original. I hate to disagree with you, the new Revlon dryer, IS NOT better than the Original one. And you yourself posted, it took you 26 minutes, to completely dry your hair, opposed to the 20 minutes it took you with the original dryer. Won't be buying the new dryer anytime soon. You know the saying " If it's not broken, don't fix it.
Hey, so in this video, Julissa talks about it but also mentions it in many of her videos, the side of her head which she used the new drier is the curlier side of her head. That side always has "crinkle waves" left over when she's done blow drying, even with the original one step blow dryer. I'm sure Julissa knows enough about her own hair to determine if it was still straighter than usual or not. The smaller dryer probably takes longer bc its smaller, but that also means its not as heavy, and can be more precise/dry straighter, which may be worth the 6 minute difference! Edit: you should check out her video where she tries out the original one step and see the results on that side for yourself and draw your conclusion from there!
@@cherubblossom thank you for this comments! 💕 you literally explained everything I was going to say! Lol 🥰 I’ll do another video trying the new Revlon on the less wavy side as well 🥰

You recommend that I should use revlon original once every two month. Do you recommend another one that I can use once a week or every two week that are less heat damaging? It is mostly to tame my frizzy dry hair.
You can use the new one whenever bc it offers a detachable head. I would personally recommend drying your shafts a bit on cold before going in with high heat only like she did. I have the old one and I would use the cold option first before using high heat to style. Hope that helps any!
@@lanaadams6837 it will definitely take forever to use on cool but for the long term damage I would definitely recommend that first before using any heat. And yeah you are right low is even enough heat 😅
Detachable heads are easier for traveling, and storing. Perhaps sometime in the future, Revlon will be planning to add larger and smaller heads for those who want variety; but surely will charge more for this one because of the versatility.
Hi Julissa. I'm contemplating on getting the plus since i have shorter hair. But i saw another review of the plus and i was surprised with her finding that the air on the plus seems to be coming out just on the top portion of the barrel. Did you notice this as compared to the original? Hope you can give me a feedback on this. Thanks.
Can you make a video comparing these to the CHI 4 in 1 volumizer blowout brush? It comes with different heads. There’s not many videos on it and I want to know if it’s worth the extra money 😅💗💗💗
I always rough dry my hair a bit before using mine. It cuts down on drying time and to me, it reduces the number of times I have to pass through my hair with the revlon. Finally got the new one…will test it out tomorrow!
I have had the original for a year and only use low setting and I use argan oil after I finish. I have long thick hair and think I will stick with the original. I can get a really nice flip with the original and it's all the way you use it. I can definitely see the waves on the plus side and the time comparison wasn't equal because the timer was started after you had done 2 sections.

Hi Julissa! Love your videos! Could you please do a review of the new Revlon Plus vs the Revlon older short-medium version? (They currently don't sell the Plus anywhere outside of the US!) Thanks :)
I'm sooo glad you made this video, thanks!! I'd just ordered one of these from Amazon, got it a week ago, and they didn't disclose that it was the older model with only 2 heat/airflow settings. It felt like it was burning my hair & scalp. I didn't know there was another model with a medium heat setting. Also the slightly smaller one is more suitable for my short-ish hair. So I ordered the newer model from Target, and am sending the other back to Amazon. Either way, this is a fantastic product! My hair looks better and takes half the time and effort to style - only 5-6 minutes if I let it air-dry for a few minutes first. It keeps the frizzies away, and looks shiny and sleek for 3-4 days. It used to take me 12 minutes with a blowdryer, 12 round brushes, and a flatiron (no good for the locks.) Now I can do it all with one packable device. And with your help, no more ouchy or damaging burning.
@A. Rosa-Gonzalez-Avila Dang! Got this a few days too late. Ordered from Ulta at full price and received it Friday, just after I'd washed my hair. It's great! worth every penny even at full price. I'm so glad I saw your helpful review; it's really much better than the older one. Medium has medium heat with full air, and dries my hair plenty quickly with less heat (damage.) Smaller size is handier and lighter for travel.
I think both did the same really, although the Revlon plus can give more Volume and that extra flip, curl to the ends. Also when she did the side using the Revlon Plus her hair had dried a bit more before hand so I think her natural curl showed through more, ad the other side was more wet when styled. That's not a negative to the Revlon Plus, but I think you'd have to work a bit harder to make curly hair smoother if the hair is not as wet. But I'd say on us girls with hair that is already straight the Revlon Plus will be great at giving more Volume, shine and a nice flip to the ends.
The original side looks 100x better and less wavy(?) with the lines your hair shows. It’s more voluminous but the other side looks more professionally done
I heard the heat settings are all pretty much the same on the new one. I was so excited they changed some things but then I heard it was still too hot🥺

Beautiful! Do you find that your hair reverts to waves throughout the day? That happens with the large revlon brush for me, so just curious if this one doesn't. That would be amazing!
I like at the beginning you said the plus side was gonna be a lot more volume and bouncey. The original side looks soooo much better. I’m actually shocked that you said you saw no waves on the plus side? You can see all of your waves in the plus side
Thanks for doing comparison,I wanted the original almost bought it but I am glad I didn't,the new one made your hair more bouncy then the original one,I also wanted to know can you do a video with your mom using the new revlon plus since she has short hair.
Love your eye makeup, very sweet❤️ it suits you. I can’t live without my one step revlon, best thing since sliced bread. The new one looks smaller 😕 You are not suppose to use this on wet hair. Your hair should be 80% dry. This way less damage too. 🙂 I wish there was an attachment thingy for the hair drying option. I use the high heat setting, but I only run it through my hair sections once or twice and my hair is very short. Wow! You got more volume on the “new” side! The $ however is too high. Are they nuts?

I have curly hair in the back of my head. What I do with the original is let my hair dry about 80%, use high heat and then use the cool setting to finish drying bc the hair still is hot but the blower blows more air on the cool setting.
Thank you for this video. I did not know there was a new version and just got the old version. The smaller barrel seems much easier to use but I prefer the results on the side you used the old one
OMG so the plus version works as a normal hairdryer too?? No way that's amazing 😱😱😱 Saves me from buying both tools 😭😭❤ Thank you so much!!
Hy Julissa. I Love watching your videos so much. Right now i am so stressed out. watching your videos relax me so much. You always have a positive attitude and i love it. I really love this new Revlon. Everything that reduce heat damage is a Plus for me. Thank You for this review. Great video as always keep up the good job God bless you always 💕
Awww you’re so sweet! I’m glad my videos relax you! Hope you feel better soon! 🥰💕
@@JulissaGuillen Thank You girl 💕
Julissa hi! I got mine by chance on Saturday… I’m in love I did my whole hair in 12 minutes, and I have long down the shoulders curly like yours, medium heat and day 4 still going strong… I had the original and returned it because it was too hot and too loud. This one is awesome.. highly recomendedy
Was the new plus one less loud than the original one?
@@carlaminett2909 no… it was the same
This looks like it would be great for ppl with shorter hair! I have the hot tools brush and it's just too big to get the roots properly, so my hair winds up reverting unless I use a flatiron. I would love a video on tips to KEEP hair straight, mine wants to curl up no matter what I do lol
Same girl
Look up “how to silk wrap hair”. That will work.
What is flatiron
ive been subscribed to you for years and i LOVE these videos, if you only blow dry your hair for your youtube career i would not ever complain. can you do a hair care storage and hair tools storage video? i think that would be dope bc you are the blow out queen.
I bought the original because of you and have been using it ever since
T3 and revlon plus comparison please! Love your content, great video 👏🏼
Yes! Coming soon 💕 thank you!
My hair is very long, I think a bigger brush is ideal for my case. Thanks for the video!
Omg I didn’t even know they came out with the new one…loving the new one uggghh girl making me broke lol
No tenía idea que había otro y al parecer no está disponible en este lado del planeta.
I’m looking forward to it 😍
Thanx for the video! 💕
I see the original is more smother and shinier but the plus gives more volume
So it depends what you like & your hair type is,
I think I like revlon the original
From the video’s I watched it fo amazing job with very good price!
Thank you so much 😊 for the review & God bless you 💗
I feel like i noticed a slight wave on the plus side versus the original side. I like that the plus is thinner but i feel like since i have a lot of hair i prefer the larger brush 😅 thanks for the comparison on these two!
I don't think I would ever buy a hair dryer that I can only use every 2 months haha
My thoughts exactly... If it's that damaging don't buy it
Can see waves on plus side, but considering that side was way curlier….just wonder if it REALLY is less damaging
Love it!
How does it compare to the Revlon Titanium that was sold at Costco? And how about to the Amika?
Love how you made this video very descriptive!!
Watch out Dyson, Revlon maybe coming for you soon.
The new one is alot better. Awesome tool
Hope this brush comes to Canada. Waiting.....
Just ordered it. Luv the original. Bought the one from Costco and returned it bc the original was better. So I’m looking forward to trying this one!!
Could you elaborate? Did you try both ?
I got the original almost two years ago and the other day I saw the Hot Tools version with detachable brush on sale in Target for $49! I was tempted to buy it but my original Revlon still works.
They also had a whole end cap of the Revlon Plus for $60. I love the new red and black color but I just can't.
The original side looks smoother and shinier imo.
20 mins for one side 😳 I have the same hair and longer but I only focus on blowing out the wet section and not blowing everything out that has already been dried. Excited to get the plus !!
I always love your peach makeup. If I recall you've a video so I'll check it out lol idk why I only just thought of this
Glad to see this test. I just bought the original and the brush seems too big. I'm going to order the smaller and try it out. I want a bit more curl so maybe the smaller brush will be better. Thanks for this review!!!
I'm so excited for this! I saw the ad for the new one step and I was like "oooh!"
Hi Julissa! Creo eres la primera en hacer la comparación aquí en UA-cam, justo ayer compré el mío y entre aquí haber si habían hecho algún vídeo, y no encontré nada, gracias! esperaba con ansias esto. Amo tus vídeos 💞
Brad Mondo
I have both. I haven't tried the new one yet. I wanted to watch to know if I should even bother keeping the new one.
Edit: you should check out her video where she tries out the original one step and see the results on that side for yourself and draw your conclusion from there!
waiting to do the hair on the wavier side after 20 some minutes, of course it's not going to straighten as well. I have wavy hair and I know. :)
@@cherubblossom thank you for this comments! 💕 you literally explained everything I was going to say! Lol 🥰 I’ll do another video trying the new Revlon on the less wavy side as well 🥰
I just ordered the original and it was on sale! I never had this product so it’ll be a first for me. (Kinda glad the newer one didn’t do as good cause I already ordered before hand) lol
I think if you took some smaller sections and used a little more technique on the plus side the waves could be gone.
Its $55.99 with 20 percent coupon at ulta
I went to target and HEB they had the Revlon Hair tools on sale. I finally brought the old Revlon hair dryer brush for just $38
You recommend that I should use revlon original once every two month.
@@juleenicolle hi! do I mean use it on COOL or LOW first to avoid damage?
I personally always use it on LOW only, but never on COOL I’ll try that! (Cool then low) cause to me I think low heat is already too hot 😅
@@lanaadams6837 it will definitely take forever to use on cool but for the long term damage I would definitely recommend that first before using any heat. And yeah you are right low is even enough heat 😅
Whats the purpose for it being detachable are they coming out with different heads ? Cause that would change the entire game .
For easier storage, supposedly
I hope they come out with different attachments! That would be so cool! 💕
Please do a video on your favorite heat protectant sprays!!💕💕
REVLON plus vs the new T3 airebrush duo please
Thank you for reviewing this! Does the barrel blowdryer (without the brush attachment) work as well as a regular blowdryer?
Getting closer to the roots might sell me because my roots are sooo curly
I always rough dry my hair a bit before using mine. It cuts down on drying time and to me, it reduces the number of times I have to pass through my hair with the revlon. Finally got the new one…will test it out tomorrow!
Hi!!! Would you recommend the plus version over the original? Thanks!
She literally said the other side is wavier lol did u not listen to her
Hi julissa, thank you for the review, definitely going to buy this.i saw you on qvc,I was on youtube and you were the model for amika heat brush.i also love this heat brush.thank you for your reviews. 👱♀️
I’m from Lancaster pa I love your videos girls thanks to you I got this dryer and I’m obsessed
I'm so excited to see this!! I have been looking for it. I don't think anyone has it near me yet. You sold me on the original Revlon brush! I'ma hairdresser and I wish I had even a dollar for every brush I would my clients!!
Ultra has the Plus in your choice of black and pink.
Me encanta! Sí more shine (no your not reading into too much). Se nota la diferencia. Ahora tengo que comprarlo y es tu culpa! 💕 😂 Now I have to kick the original to the curb, sorry original but there's a new kid on the block! 😂 Gracias! I can't live without your reviews. Feliz noche! Mil gracias bella!
I have the Revlon that only Costco sells. Do you feel it’s pretty much the same as the Plus?
They sure look 👀 a lot alike on the video. Please I saw your review of the Costco one and would like to know your opinion vs this new one.
I love your content! Big fan! 👍
I was wondering the same thing!
Hi Julissa! Love your videos! Could you please do a review of the new Revlon Plus vs the Revlon older short-medium version? (They currently don't sell the Plus anywhere outside of the US!) Thanks :)
Loool you have THE cutest low key latino accent 😍😍😍😍
Hi thank you for this video I have the original which I love but just ordered the revlon plus online (Target) can’t wait to get it
I think the original side looks better in terms of shine and smoothness but thank you for your review
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
You are amazing, I like the way you explain, keep going beauty ❤
Best review and comparing, thank you! ❤️
Thank you!
Which one better for curly hair ?
I heard the heat settings are all pretty much the same on the new one. I was so excited they changed some things but then I heard it was still too hot🥺
What is your favourite Airbrush out of all the ones you tried?
Thank you for this Julissa! I’m running to get one now.💥💥💥💃🏻
One side started out curlier than the other so its apparent that the original side will look more sleek.
Thanks for good review n tips with gorgeous 😊smile. Mine also curly. I found out your video when searching for blow dry. As per advice I’m going to buy rev. Plus. Rev. Plus results of you in very nice compared to old one. Plz post more videos how to maintain and produces knowledge for curly hair 🥰💐
You definitely have more shine on the newer Revlon Plus side. Also a lot more body at the bottoms.
Thanks for doing comparison,I wanted the original almost bought it but I am glad I didn't,the new one made your hair more bouncy then the original one,I also wanted to know can you do a video with your mom using the new revlon plus since she has short hair.
Yes! That video is definitely coming!! 🥰
Love your eye makeup, very sweet❤️ it suits you. I can’t live without my one step revlon, best thing since sliced bread. The new one looks smaller 😕 You are not suppose to use this on wet hair. Your hair should be 80% dry. This way less damage too. 🙂
I wish there was an attachment thingy for the hair drying option. I use the high heat setting, but I only run it through my hair sections once or twice and my hair is very short. Wow! You got more volume on the “new” side! The $ however is too high. Are they nuts?
How long does your hair stay straight and sleek with the Revlon hairdryer brush before you have to straighten it?
