my favorite book of all time is History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. It deals with loss and grief as well as m/m romance. It is a beautiful story that was executed perfectly and I would highly recommend it. I would recommend any Adam Silvera books for good m/m romances and LGBT themes in general.
Taylor Lencioni I totally agree! Along with that, I really like What if It’s Us and They Both Die In The End too. Forget Me Not was his debut novel, and I didn’t like that one too much honestly, it’s a little too mopey for me, but it had really good reviews.

Can I say 'I am not like the other girl' is the most misogynistic statement in the entire world. Saying you're not like the other girls is like putting female in box when every woman is different and unique. And you wanna say I'm better than them.
ok this was so great. i read the hot garbage that is the "after" series last semester (most of it anyway) and convinced myself that romance just wasnt for me but your critiques of these books gives me hope that someone has written a less problematic romance

It's so interesting how in some languages it's not unusual to hear people talk fast, English, Spanish, Italian... And then in my language we're talking so slow in comparison (Croatian), this just came in my mind while I was listening to her talk so fast
While I hate cheating, I actually loved Maybe Someday. Why? The amount of straight up communication between the two leads was refreshing. And I appreciate that they didn’t fully cheat, though emotional cheating still sucks. Maggie deserved so much better.
If anyone wants a good gay romance that has interesting world building and nice platonic male friendships you should read the Last Sun by K. D. Edwards. The love interest is bisexual and it isn't shamed, and the main character has a male best friend that doesn't go "no homo" all the time lol. It is also set in a sort of fantasy world within our world. It's not exactly hot per se, because the main character has trauma and they don't immediately jump into bed, but I really enjoyed it. It's probably as "hot" as Wolfsong by TJ Klune, but without the age difference. It's also part of a series so slower build.
I have so much respect for you. The courage it must have taken to get through this dumpster fire of a list. WOWWWW!! I always heard great things about The Bronze Horseman but mehh I just couldn't get into it.

Is it just me or does Real have an identical opening incident to Beautiful Disaster? Not sure if there's plagiarism afoot or if these two authors are just drawing from the same putrid swamp of middle class white American woman collective unconscious.
Yes but Real takes it to the next level! It even has that book 2 is his POV just like in the Beautiful series. To be honest the only good thing about the Real series was Legend (the last book I think)

see i'm HERE for adult romance, so having SO few successful reads for this vid was ROUGH
If it's a good adult romance it's SO good
But when it's bad adult romance.....it's a form of torture lol
Finallly someone acknowledged that maybe someday is a shitty book about cheating ppl. The girl cheated after she was cheated on like wow! I really don't understand the hype of this book😏
Same this book is the definition of just straight bad
Yes I hated it so annoying !
if anything, as a gay man i just appreciate your recommendations for m/m romance. I've been looking to get into romance and wasn't sure where to begin so thank you n.n
my favorite book of all time is History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. It deals with loss and grief as well as m/m romance. It is a beautiful story that was executed perfectly and I would highly recommend it. I would recommend any Adam Silvera books for good m/m romances and LGBT themes in general.
We are the ants by Shaun David Hutchinson isn’t hot, but goddamn is it beautiful
aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe! also not hot but so so cute!
KJ Charles and Alexis Hall are also very very good. They wrote some of my favorite romances.
Taylor Lencioni I totally agree! Along with that, I really like What if It’s Us and They Both Die In The End too.
Forget Me Not was his debut novel, and I didn’t like that one too much honestly, it’s a little too mopey for me, but it had really good reviews.
As a born and bred Floridian, if they're NOT doing bath salts and wrestling gators, they're doing it wrong 😂😂😂 (I'm kidding, lol, ah the legacy of Florida man)
You: If you're going to pick a list to read from, do not pick one from buzzfeed
Me, opening the buzzfeed app: oh-ho-ho but I must!
“Is it a stupid idea? Yeah, but, um, I’m stupid.” Is me every time I have an idea.
Mari Randall mood
dying on the side of a cliff? shoutout for the drama
he KNEW he was dying too. he was like "i'm not feeling good can u drive us to the cliffs?" real king shit
Can I say 'I am not like the other girl' is the most misogynistic statement in the entire world.
Saying you're not like the other girls is like putting female in box when every woman is different and unique. And you wanna say I'm better than them.
Why is everybody a bartender or the boy or girl next door like I really don't understand that.
“...but if you like rant reviews than sit down, cause this is exactly what that is going to be.”
*Sits ass down and sips tea* SPILL IT SIS
The fact that Edenbrooke was on this list surprised me but Phillip is my dream guy so no complaints here
There's a huge indi romance scene.
Try reading anything by Penny Reid. She writes intelligent, interesting, and flawed! characters!
ok this was so great. i read the hot garbage that is the "after" series last semester (most of it anyway) and convinced myself that romance just wasnt for me but your critiques of these books gives me hope that someone has written a less problematic romance
"they end up getting together after like, you know, some plot shit happens".
you're perfect. honestly. narrate my life plz
"so I had to yeet myself outta there" 😂
No one :
Nora Roberts: Untamed female heroine, red hair, ooohh iRiSH😑😑
Now THAT is how I like to spend my Sunday morning! I just let Chandler take me to church, lol. I haven't laughed like this in quite sometime. Thank you thank you thank you. This video is genius.👍
Listening on my headphones and busted up laughing at the “ew David”
My husband thought I was losing my mind
"So this lighting is making me look like I'm in heaven, but let me assure you, I'm in hell." Omg instant subscribe! XD
the term hot and bothered has got to be one of my least favorite things to come out of the human language
I was just about to click the video to find out about how the books were, when I was taken off gaurd by how familiar you looked. I feel like you look like some mix of Anne Hathaway and someone else I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe Anna Kendrick? Oo! No! Maybe Natalie Portman!
Me: *clicks on this random video in my recommendations*
Video: starts
Me: ANNE HATHAWAY????!!!!!
the dedication is unmatched
It's so interesting how in some languages it's not unusual to hear people talk fast, English, Spanish, Italian... And then in my language we're talking so slow in comparison (Croatian), this just came in my mind while I was listening to her talk so fast
I did not expect this video to be this entertaining when YT recommended it. But I'm here for it, lol.
“ I had to Yeet myself outta there with a swiftness” LMAO yo.
most of these books sound like they have the exact same plot
Yet another reason to not trust BuzzFeed
Like ever that list was just so bad
Very true!
While I hate cheating, I actually loved Maybe Someday. Why? The amount of straight up communication between the two leads was refreshing. And I appreciate that they didn’t fully cheat, though emotional cheating still sucks. Maggie deserved so much better.
why does everyone one of these consist of the main character's family dying or them or them escaping some past and moving across the world?
27? Howww did you do this? Kudos to you for actually pulling through with this 😂
how come women are the ones writing those highly problematic stories
If anyone wants a good gay romance that has interesting world building and nice platonic male friendships you should read the Last Sun by K. D. Edwards. The love interest is bisexual and it isn't shamed, and the main character has a male best friend that doesn't go "no homo" all the time lol.
It is also set in a sort of fantasy world within our world. It's not exactly hot per se, because the main character has trauma and they don't immediately jump into bed, but I really enjoyed it. It's probably as "hot" as Wolfsong by TJ Klune, but without the age difference. It's also part of a series so slower build.
I actually know a girl who got pregnant from the first time. So just wear rubber, guys. No glove, no love 💃
I have so much respect for you. The courage it must have taken to get through this dumpster fire of a list. WOWWWW!!
I always heard great things about The Bronze Horseman but mehh I just couldn't get into it.
"no one is doing bath salts or fighting gators." lolololololololololol
That was probably my favorite comment the entire video.
What an amazing video🌻
The Ripped Bodice just released their 2019 award winners recently. I’d be interested in seeing what you think of those.
ooo i'd DEF be interested in checking that out, those ladies rock
Dropping you a like and comment since you put yourself through hell on this one
haha thanks so much
UA-cam recommended this video to me and holy shit this has been the funniest 30 mins of my day. Thanks for these horrific summaries which I'm sure are 100x more entertaining than the actual book itself :D
I just subscribed because you really made me lol in this video. It seems like we have the same taste in romance because I cannot stand misogyny, slut shaming, stalkerish behaviour that’s just deemed ‘intense’, characters with no personality and I swear 90% of NA books have at least one of the above.
"Cervical spray painting" omfg I am dead.
This was a masterpiece and I am in awe of your commitment lmao
ty ty
Is it just me or does Real have an identical opening incident to Beautiful Disaster? Not sure if there's plagiarism afoot or if these two authors are just drawing from the same putrid swamp of middle class white American woman collective unconscious.
this comment is fucking SENDING me. stunning
Yes but Real takes it to the next level! It even has that book 2 is his POV just like in the Beautiful series. To be honest the only good thing about the Real series was Legend (the last book I think)
"pushing out a baby that makes my cooter look like-" imma stop u there chief, thats not how women work.
Oh god, when you reached Dark Lover I held my breath, cause that series is awesome. But yes yes yes, the romance between Wrath and Beth is kinda sudden. My favorite is Zsadist, my sad boy I love him!
