I’m excited to share this peak into my old art portfolios from high school and early college, showcasing the evolution of my artistic journey. a lot of these pieces were a part of my college applications, which led to me being an illustration major at art center college of design. a lot of the artwork is from foundational classes like head and hands, drawing for illustration, watercolor, oil painting, design, and drawing concepts.
in this video, you’ll be able to see how my skills and artistic style evolve over time, from still life and observational drawings to experimental pieces with different mediums. if you’re an artist or art student, I hope this video shows you that you’re art style doesn’t develop overnight, and you should be nice to your past self and the art you made. so take some time to reflect on things you’ve made, your creative process, and recognize your growth as an artist.
