I completed this hike December 30-31st, 2021 and made a video. Thanks for making your video. These glaciers are melting rapidly. I can really see the difference in just four years.

Great video, mate. Looking forward to going to El Chalten next November if the whole coronavirus things has calmed down. Your video got me even more excited. Thanks!

Loved the video. Still only see a handful of videos on the trek, and few that have commentaries on it. I did the trek a week before you in Dec 2016. Just missed you! The wind on the way to Paso Huemul was around 100-120kmh when one of my friends did it around this same time. It ended up blowing my white Nike cap away that day, if you happened to see it lying around :)

Hi, thanks, video making is a hobby and also good way to remember our adventures. Yeah wow, the wind in Patagonia is amazing - you can't prepare for it! I think when you were on the Huemul circuit we were just a few KMs north on the Marconi Glacier, we were hoping to climb Domo Blanco and Rincon but as you say the 100+kmph winds meant we stayed in the tent for a few days and caught up on sleep ;o)

Thanks for the reply Richard. I've been now watching quite a few of your videos. They're all incredible. And it's all even a bit inspiring in some aspect. I also love how you incorporate Google Earth for many of them. The Huemul was the most amazing experience of my life. It's interesting for me to think how casual it must have been for you and your wife given that you both have done some absolutely stunning and crazy challenging climbs worldwide :)
Cheers mate and very much look forward to your future videos!

It's actually called the huemul circuit! Based on the animal of the same name.
That trek is super great! Did it in late march, wasn't too many people in there ;) The paso del viento is suuuuuuuuper amazing

1:57 and that, my friends, is what a properly worn in hiking shoe looks like....
